Do not visit this bakery or order online. Save your time and go to another Ralphs, Pavilions, Vons, or WALMART. This bakery department is apathetic, unprofessional, and detached. The first visit I ordered Yellow cake online. I visited in person to make a specific add'l request and the team member said we don't even offer Yellow cake. So call the customer with the phone number provided on the online order and explain that; if I hadn't come in to specify details, I wouldn't have found out until another cake was made for me. The second and final straw of an order I did online again. I called directly this time instead of visiting to see if my request was received. The bakery team member said there's too much font, I might not even fit your balloons, let alone colors requested. SO CALL THE CUSTOMER, RELAY THE INFO, AND THINK OF A SOLUTION NOT EXCUSES. I arrived on pick up day and a woman in the deli told Nadia I was picking up a cake. She comes back out and says SHE'S ON LUNCH RIGHT NOW! The audacity. You're already back there, barely have business, get the cake. She did for Nadia. Heaven forbid you spent those 10 seconds of your break helping the only customer in the bakery. The bakery dept. needs additional training on the bare minimal amount of customer service expected in-person AND phone etiquette. FYI if you order online it's $1 less but "they don't have the capability to print a tag with that price", you'll be charged an add'l $1 in store. I'm done grocery shopping here as well. read more

I have a question. How do you guys have no checkers during morning hours when you know this is the time our senior citizens shop? My wife stopped by the market at about 9am today and stood in the self check out line with about 10 seniors shopping. There were no checkers and two employees just standing around while they struggled to check themselves out. Epic fail in service to the people that need assistance. read more

With all of the grocery store options in Simi this particular Ralph's is usually my last option. The store has recently been updated a bit but there are still old aspects of the store that date the entire building. I am not a fan of the Red Box being on the outside of the building. Why the F!*# would I want to rent a movie outside? They do know it's Simi Valley and it does get hot as F out here right? Also, the lines move at a snails pace at best. There is usually never enough checkers for the number of customers attempting to check out. 10 to 15 minutes to check out is always the norm whether you're in the express line or not. Why this Ralph's is still in existence is beyond me. If you have other options I suggest going elsewhere. If you don't have any other options then I suggest ordering your groceries online and having them delivered to your house. It's really that bad. read more

I bought a chicken wrap yesterday, I got scam sandwiched, the other half of my chicken wrap barley had any chicken in it. This chicken wrap was a half chicken wrap, The other half was a lettuce and powdered cheese wrap, it didn't do a good job of satisfying my hunger. read more

I am giving this location 5 stars because there is a person there named Travis and he usually works in the pickup delivery department. He is always so nice and friendly and he makes sure that you received the best service. Every time he comes to my car to deliver my items he always has a smile on his face and a pleasing personality. I ordered a fully cooked turkey and ham on Ralph's website, received a confirmation email with the pick up time and date. Showed up in thanksgiving day and they had no idea what I as talking about! Didn't have an order me and didn't know how find find it. Even when I showed them the confirmation email! I had 13 people coming for dinner in an hour. I've never been so insulted by a checkout clerk in my life. We are in a national emergency and I asked her if she didn't mind not touching my food. I would like to scan it myself. The cashiers name was Dania G. She was mocking me for my choice to not touch my food. As she was laughing at me she dragged other employees over to embarrass me further. As I went to bag my groceries she informs me their are no more bags. I was forced to pay for a tote bag just to take my groceries home!!! They had only one in shelf and the deal was if you buy 3 you saved few dollars. And I told Maryam the store manager that you are out of stock see if you can adjust the price? She goes I can't due to corona virus! And I ask if I can speak to a manger. She said I am the the Manger. I hope she doesn't represent Ralph's customers service values. This is the crisis time. Subject: Self-checkout Grocery shopping here on a weekend is terrible, they have ONLY 2 actual checkers working with 6 Self check outs open. Self check out is fine when you have a few items, but when you have a full cart- as the majority of customers did,this makes it terrible for customers and employees. I know Ralph's wants to cut costs and save money,but this is not the way to do it. I refuse to use self checkout when I have more than a few items, I'd rethink this situation, because no one wants to wait endlessly in line and especially during covid, this is not good customer service at all. I usually go to Vons for bread, but due to recycling in Ralph's parking lot, (the others were slammed)I had to go inside to cash in my slip. On my way in I picked up a baguette. I've never tasted bread like this before. It was the most tasteless choking hazard I've ever had. read more

I arrived here at 12:41 am on 05/06/2021. I exit my vehicle and begin to run in quickly for a bag of ice as they close at 1 am and i dont want to hold them up. As i am walking up to the west side entrance a man is escorting out an elderly woman in an electric wheel chair. He informs myself and another customer running in that they close in 10 minutes (which is inaccurate) and that we need to hurry up as there is a large "party" in the store already. I am also yelled at by this man that i NEED to wear a mask and that i will absolutely not receive service. Well even though i have been vaccinated and have evidence as such, i still have a mask around my neck. As i walk in i raise my mask and grab the ice and use the self checkout to help the line so that the employees can try to leave on time. I walk out and this man is still assisting the elderly and waiting to return the electric cart to the store. They happen to be parked next to me. As i put my ice in my vehicle i ask for his name which is Warren, or so he says. This employee for your store shows me quite a bit about his character. First I do not need to be yelled at as i enter the store, and then threatened that i will not receive service. This man was attempting to use store policy to dissuade me from coming into the store, as i can easily tell he is already frustrated that he needs to help the elderly out as well seeing more customers arriving and he wants to get off work on time. I do understand that dilemma as i worked shitty jobs before as well. This person will be a detriment to your business as long as you keep him. I run a large staff and my crew will never treat or talk to a customer like that EVER. I surely hope he is not union so that you may free the job up for someone that will actually appreciate being there. Good jobs are hard to find kid, and you likely wont have the chance at a good one with that attitude. read more

We moved back to Simi in 2013 and bought a place near Sequoia and Fitzgerald, so this Ralph's market is the closest to our house. I guess I have always chosen the market closest to our house and before moving from Simi in 2007, it was the Vons store on Cochran street. Anyhow, I was kind of surprised by all the negative reviews for this store. The workers are always very friendly and we find the groceries we need so for us, all is good. I do buy all of our meats at Costco, co can;t really comment on that but I think the produce is fresh and reasonably priced. Overall, I am very satisfied with this Ralph's supermarket. read more

I have a long list of complaints! I agree that the checkers are unfriendly. They act like it's a bother to do their jobs! The bananas have hard centers, like a stem running through them! The 99c bags of apples or other fruit intended to help people are often to rotten to be good for anyone! The meat man is really nice, friendly and helpful! read more

This is a terrible store. It is dirty and the employees are rude. I went to the deli counter and the employee had her mask hanging below her nose. Here we are in the middle of a pandemic and they have a recording going on over the loudspeaker in their own store to wear your mask over mouth and nose and their own employee has hers hanging below her nose. She is spreading her germs over everyone's food in the deli. There are a lot of homeless people hanging out in front of the store and trash all over the parking lot. Two lanes open on a Sunday morning with long lines. Last time I will ever go there. I will be taking my business to Stater Bros. or Albertsons. read more

I happen to like this store and am very surprised at the reviews. I live much closer to Albertson's but find the prices at Ralphs to be far more reasonable. Even if it is out of my way, I always drive over there on Friday's after work. I've always had friendly staff helping me in each department. When I go to the produce section there is always someone stocking and asking how I am. Today I went to 3 different grocery stores on my lunch break and couldn't find what I was looking for but of course I called this location and they have it. The place needs to be tore down it's a mess and a lot of expired food. The produce guy was a complete a** when I asked why the potatoes all have green sprouts coming out of them, he got pissed and said "whatever" I said wtf whatever me you MF'er. I found their prices to be reasonable, and ended going there twice in days for sale and specialty items. My daughter in law also shopped there for Thanksgiving. Yum. I bought vegan butter and frozen macaroons in a variety of flavors, both reasonable and available. The store is well stocked and pleasant to shop. read more

Stopped by this morning to pick up some fresh bread from the bakery for breakfast and also some juice and sparkling water. At checkout, my total came out to $30 which I thought was really pricey for the minimal items I purchased. I didn't want to hold up the line so I paid first and then immediately checked the receipt before leaving the store. The cashier charged me for 21 bakery items!!!! Instead of the 2 that I purchased! I went back and showed her the receipt to get a refund, at first it didn't seem like she believed me but then I pointed out that I had yet to leave the store since probably less than a minute has passed. Unpleasant experience overall due to the careless cashier mistake and poor unapologetic attitude when I pointed out the error. In the end, I did get my refund but I doubt I'll be returning. On 4/14/2015 I was parking my car in this Ralphs parking lot when suddenly a man jumped in front of my car and slammed his fists on the hood of my car. He then came to the driver side window which I had open & punched me in the face 2 times and then grabbed for my neck. If it wasn't for the actions of several bystanders I cant say how badly this could have turned out. 911 was called & the police came & got the man-but not at any time was there a security person patrolling the lot nor did anyone from Ralphs come outside to see what was going on. Any woman going to this store please be aware of this incident - I will never go to this particular store again read more

Horrible customer service. I bought some baby formula and forgot to punch in my number for the saving, didn't have time to ask them to fix so I figured I'd go back later. Went back two days later and said it was never on sale. Even though the receipt says I could have saved and earned points had I used my savings card. That was a $12 savings. I came here for a sandwich at lunch. The guy was slicing onions for his supplies. He told me I would be helped in just a moment. He cut the onions on the slicer and I took secret joy in the resulting tears and squinty-eyes. He piled up the veggies on the sandwich, the lettuce was kinda weak looking, but he did his best. He then sliced me some turkey and put that on there. The sandwich was okay. I've had better from there. I've noticed some Ralph's have a list of named sandwiches they make, and they're not big at all, while others make gigantic-two-meal sandwiches. This was the latter version of Ralphs. As a grocery store, it's pretty good. It's a clean place. Normally i get cookies or some sort of bakery items for my co-workers, but today I didn't. I'll more than likely go back...and probably get some tasty cookies. read more

Their produce has always been abysmal and it actually got worse in the several years since I went there. I got a$25 gift card from work or I wouldn't have gone at all. This is a dirty smelly store. There was not one single carton of eggs in the store. A lot of the food is past expiration. They NEVER have the advertised special and checkers and management are rude. The $ should be $$$ because they'prices are more than any other store in town. read more

The ladies in the Bakery Department were such a help this year, I got my birthday cake with no issues and made it how i wanted. The Ralphs paper advertised a bbq grill for a steal. I called over 10 different Ralphs and this Simi location was the only that had one left. I spoke with Riley and asked that he hold it for me as I was going to be driving from Woodland Hills. He stated he would. When I got there, i was greeted by a kind man named Smiley and directed me to the bbq which was waiting for me at the front of the store on a cart. I couldnt believe that Riley had brought the grill from the back & had it waiting for me. Thank you Riley & Smiley for being so great! Its rare this day and age! read more
