It's like a PetsMart AND a Ralph's in one--- gotta love that!

My first time shopping here after having moved down the street. This is my new home store. Came in with my 2 kids. While in checkout, there was a nice employee helping me. He seemed to have great customer service skills and enjoyed his job. That was great...then a woman came up behind me with her adorable dog in the shopping cart. My kids asked "Can we bring our dog, too?" I said, "I think so. This seems to be a dog-friendly food store." I made sure to ask the employee if this is the case. He said, and Im paraphrasing, "We have signs against it, but my manager will not allow us to question it or else we get in trouble." I told my kids, "Great! Let's bring him in the shopping cart next time!" Man, I love this store and the top tier management.

Just any I to grab some snacks and was looking to get some chips. Looking up and down and saw some Ruffles's on digital deal. Tried to scan the deal and it just went to the home page. Technology is sometime fickle so I took a picture of the price tag and continued to shop, figuring I could show it to cashier. At check out I let them scan and they ring in at full price. I ask about the price and show her the picture. She tells me to open the app and go to deals and scroll to find it, it's not in order. I see the search function and look it up that way and nope, not there. She then tells me I have to scroll to find it. Meanwhile she calls Mr. Palmer over to help out and I show him the same thing. He proceeds to look at the picture and then head over to the aisle. We're waiting for him to come back and I hear a ripping sound. He finally comes back and he says the tag says $7.29. I then proceeded to go show him where I was looking and the tag is no longer there, I asked him what happened to the tag and he played dumb. He showed me all the other tags for other party size chips and says they all show the higher price. I asked what happened to the tag and he again deflected. If you don't want to homer the price stand by that policy. I get it mistakes happen, but don't call me a liar and try to hide the mistake. Mr. Palmer, you have lost a customer. I will gladly drive to a further store that I can trust to be honest and treat me with respect.

Sushi stand should get a review, I looked at the products and the sushi looked dry and some looked pale. But regardless decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. There was no chopsticks in the stand Was thinking maybe I was overthinking. So When I went to eat the items I bought The onigiri was slimy and the seaweed was a pale color almost like wasabi color and it smelled weird, which is not normal so I did not finish eating it. The sushi was a tad slimy but thought maybe it was still okay, but it ended up giving me some nausea. Don't usually write reviews but thought this was very concerning, don't want anyone else to get sick Please double check your products freshness because none of it was fresh nor put together properly.

Wish they had a better whiskey selection here. Not a bad spot to grab a few items they still need to update their registers to take the near field chips which would be a big help. Don't know if I love the organization of this Ralph's. I'd also recommend just doing a quick run through and you'll find items that you want to go through but overall they typically have a good selection I wouldn't say their liquor selection is the best around though I would go up the road to an Albertson's off of imperial. Otherwise it's a Ralph's and you'll get your food

Review 34/365 Day Challenge…read more How have i not reviewed one of my local fav grocery store. I love coming to Alberstons for their sales including the digital coupons you just clip on their ap or the $ 5 dollar Friday deals that's only valid on Friday. The store is usually fully stocked on all items unless it's a really good deal/score then they might be out but usually always restocking. The aisle and store is well kept and clean, easy to find stuff. Associates are really nice. I knew i loved this bakery department especially when I've seen their cakes on display I've admire for years with the cake decorating skills. I finally met one of the awesome cake decorator, Nicole Marquez. Really sweet mama indeed and she's very accommodating. I've referred a handful of customers to her that needed last minute cakes. And from all the customers feedbacks, she was able to accomplish all requests. I ordered a bday cake from Albertsons and showed Nicole the style of cake i wanted and she definitely delivered it. Tysm Nicole for making my bday a memorable one. You're the best! TIP~ download the Albertsons app to get great deals and offers.

Albertsons in Placentia is basically the "I got you" grocery store of the neighborhood. Clean? Yep…read more Bright? Yep. Shelves stocked like they're prepping for the apocalypse? Absolutely. And the best part--plenty of self-checkout machines, so you can skip the small talk and scan your lettuce in peace. Now, the produce section... look, it's fine, but let's just say I've had longer emotional connections with spinach that didn't wilt overnight. BUT their bakery totally redeems them. The fresh French bread--especially right before dinner--comes out so warm and steamy it practically whispers, "Take me home." And I do. Every time. The staff is generally super nice and polite, though occasionally you'll meet someone who clearly fought an epic battle with their alarm clock that morning. No shade--I usually hit the self-checkout anyway, so we all win. Overall, it's a solid, reliable grocery store with everything I need for my everyday chaos--I mean, household needs. Would I come back? Already did. Probably twice this week.

We were in need of fruit and came in to purchase some, happened to be Wednesday, so we also grabbed a box of the "Deals of the Day, Home Chef 8-pc Dark Meat Fried Chicken Deal (4 Thighs & 4 Drumsticks)" for $6. As we were walking from the Produce section to the Deli section, one of the Ralph employees did ask us if we wanted to sign up for a Ralphs credit card, which we politely declined. Yes, everything has gotten more expensive these days, but I have also never seen prices for bananas per lb. this high, and I shop at many different supermarkets weekly. I guess maybe it's because it's one of the few supermarkets in the area, besides the Target down the street. I had thought that the "Deals of the Day" were at the counter, but there were prepped boxes ready at the "heated" grab and go area. We were there around 1 pm, but there was no way they were prepared at 1 pm (time marked on the box), so I am guessing they were placed at least 15 minutes earlier. There were many freshly prepared fried chicken at the counter as well, but I guess those were not included for the deal. There was also no one at the counter to ask, only 1 person making sushi. Deals of the Day $6 Mon - Jennie-O Split Breast Turkey 20 oz. Tues - Home Chef Hand Breaded Chicken Tenders 5 ct. Wed - Home Chef 8-pc Dark Meat Fried or Baked Chicken Deal (4 Thighs & 4 Drumsticks) Thurs - Home Chef Deli Fresh Whole Roasted Chicken Fri - Home Chef Chicken Wings 5 ct. All the produce were neatly placed on display and the aisles were fully stocked. We ended up using their self-checkout and it was easy peasy with the discounts. Such a frustrating experience. I just want to buy some grocery, I should not have to get a degree in computer science to be able to get a discount. I'll never shop at Ralph's any more. Luckily, Alberson's is just a block away. I am sure a lot of senior citizens are frustrated too. Could this be a form of ageism?

Even though each store has a strengths, I feel like overall Bristol Farms is the better of the two. This is speaking as millennial and maybe Bristol Farms serves a more immature crowd. Hopefully it stays that way. They have everyday products and they have very niche products. Literally something for everyone their bakery is delicious and of course they have their classic big cookies that are served warm. I haven't had anything from the juice/coffee bar yet, but I will next, however the poke bar and the hot bar, never disappoints and that is why I'm writing this review finally. Today I had a flounder piccata mashed potatoes, perfectly roasted vegetables, and pasta Bolognese with huge chunks of beef. Everything was delicious. The flounder even remained crunchy two hours after leaving the store they don't have the variety in the hot bar that Whole Foods has, however, the quality is far superior, and the flavor is in the upper echelon compared to Whole Foods. These are consistent findings within the self-service food area even within the deli carving station. Sometimes they have turkey briskets. I believe I've even purchased prime rib there and the quality and flavor is always on point consistently the presentation of all of their items never fails either also, every time I go to Bristol Farms you're always greeted with a smile. The staff is really nice and in general they look like they're happy to be there which makes the shopping experience that much better.

I went in to purchase Harry's Berries strawberries, and while I was shopping, a produce stocker named Hung took it upon himself to say, "You know those are $20, right?" I had not asked about the price. I was just buying my strawberries. The comment felt unnecessary, presumptive, and embarrassing--like he had decided I needed to be warned about the cost of something I had already chosen to purchase. As a customer of color, it also made me wonder whether he would have made that same comment to shoppers who do not share my skin color. That is not the kind of interaction any customer should have while grocery shopping, especially at a store like Bristol Farms. Other shoppers should be aware of this experience, and I hope Bristol Farms takes it seriously. Please do better and train employees not to make assumptions about customers.

Last week I loaded up on six New York steaks for $8.99/lb, and this week they have porterhouse steaks for $9.99/lb which I also loaded up on. I put the individual steaks in plastic wrap, then a layer of aluminum foil, and put them in a zip lock bag and get out as much air as possible before sealing and putting them in the freezer. This keeps them good for a long time, and I just keep buying them when great deals like this are available. There are usually two or three steaks per package, and it seems like they often put a really good cut in with a not as good cut. Look thru them all to find the best pairs with two good cuts. Every time I walk into the store, there is a sushi station right by the east entrance where somebody is always there making fresh sushi daily. It always looks so good and fresh. You can either choose from what is on display, or place an order and pick it up later after it has been prepared. I called ahead and asked if they I could order sashimi, and was happy when they said yes because I've only seen sushi on display before. I ordered half salmon and half tuna ($8.99), and it was ready when I arrived 20 minutes later. The sashimi was so fresh, and the pieces were surprisingly bigger and thicker than I expected. It came with a package of soy sauce, ginger, and wasabi. This was far superior to a sashimi sampler I ordered from another restaurant this past weekend, and this was several dollars cheaper. Judy, who was at the counter today, was so kind and friendly. I do pick up some regular grocery items from time to time, and their prices seem to be on par with or just slightly below my regular grocery store. I'll continue to take advantage of their great sales on steak. I'm happy I finally tried their sushi, it's great!
