Ralph's location at the Rose Plaza was an unexpected stop. There is another Ralph's less than 4 miles away. Go Figure! En route to baseball practice, I stopped by Ralph's to grab a case of water for an event and as usual, it was a smooth experience. This Ralph's store has a Starbucks but no one else was in-line for coffee. I get weary of no one ordering (from SB kiosk) as it's an indicator that service may not be efficient or drinks not prepared well. There's a bakery department (on one entrance) and floral department (on the other entrance). There is an employee stationed at each entrance helping with dozen self-checkout stations. I saw only one non-self checkout line that has a bagger to assist customers wanting personal assistance. Just review for purchasing water, the store was well-stocked, and the water section had plenty of options. I found what I needed quickly, and checkout was efficient at the five self-checkout stations at each side of the entrances. It's always reliable for picking up essentials like this. read more

It would not be fair to give this a one star because the actions of 1 employee. At 6am just as the store opened as I was walking in a gentleman who was moving carts by the front door said hello would I like a shopping cart. Great fully I said yes please and thank you. He then said have a great day and I replied thank you you too. Then I proceeded to get some sodas that were on sale that led me to the soda aisle where another gentleman said hello and if I needed any help. I said hello back and that I was looking for the sodas on sell. He said if I had any questions not to hesitate to ask him he would be right here. A few minutes went by he asked me again if I was doing okay and I was. Then I had a question he came over and answered me question very politely. So far my experience was great. Now comes the check out and having no choice but to go self checkout. Now I have a disability it takes me longer to do things especially with missing bones and limbs in my feet but still slowly getting around. Anyway having an employee at the front who doesn't speak a word is disturbing enough. As I was scanning my items the belt at the register stopped and the register said help on the way. This employee a lady who said nothing with a I'm being disturbed look on her face moved my items aside then had to do something to the register to get it going again and she went to grab one of the items of soda with some force that caused the case to rip open. By then that just really destroyed my experience so I told her to void everything out since it's to difficult. I really wish they would make an effort to check their meat and be cautious and sanitary. My first time shopping here after having moved down the street. This is my new home store. Came in with my 2 kids. While in checkout, there was a nice employee helping me. He seemed to have great customer service skills and enjoyed his job. That was great...then a woman came up behind me with her adorable dog in the shopping cart. My kids asked "Can we bring our dog, too?" I said, "I think so. This seems to be a dog-friendly food store." I made sure to ask the employee if this is the case. Just any I to grab some snacks and was looking to get some chips. Looking up and down and saw some Ruffles's on digital deal. Tried to scan the deal and it just went to the home page. Technology is sometime fickle so I took a picture of the price tag and continued to shop, figuring I could show it to cashier. At check out I let them scan and they ring in at full price. I ask about the price and show her the picture. She tells me to open the app and go to deals and scroll to find it, it's not in order. I see the search function and look it up that way and nope, not there. She then tells me I have to scroll to find it. Meanwhile she calls Mr. Palmer over to help out and I show him the same thing. He proceeds to look at the picture and then head over to the aisle. We're waiting for him to come back and I hear a ripping sound. He finally comes back and he says the tag says $7.29. I then proceeded to go show him where I was looking and the tag is no longer there, I asked him what happened to the tag and he played dumb. He showed me all the other tags for other party size chips and says they all show the higher price. I asked what happened to the tag and he again deflected. If you don't want to homer the price stand by that policy. I get it mistakes happen, but don't call me a liar and try to hide the mistake. Mr. Palmer, you have lost a customer. I would give it minus stars if I could. I have been verbally scolded/accosted by two employees at this store. First time, several months ago, I was self checking out when one of their employees came over and berated me for not placing my items on the counter properly. You all know the reply to that one. I don't work there and am not properly trained on the register to perform to her exacting standards, she can stick it and her attitude up her standard. Yesterday, we were picking up a loaf of bread we needed, went through checkout and the checker rang up a product from the person next in line. All we did was tell him that wasn't ours and in a snarky, condescending, nasty tone he looked at us and said, "just what are you buying?" The first incident I complained to corporate, never heard back. Yesterday I talked to one of the managers who told me the individual checking us out was another manager. So? So disappointed in this Ralph's location, this is my new home store after moving from Brea and every single time I place an online order for pickup they call me an hour before to tell me it's going to get pushed back another hour. This is so upsetting because at this point why am I even picking a time for pickup if it doesn't get followed? Especially at certain times when I pay extra for a certain time slot it is such a let down. I usually place my order in the morning while i'm at work and want to pick it up after work for convenience. This gives the workers several hours to work on my order. Here I am waiting another half hour over my specific time slot. Then the employees try to explain themselves while leaning on my car. There was no chopsticks in the stand Was thinking maybe I was overthinking. So When I went to eat the items I bought The onigiri was slimy and the seaweed was a pale color almost like wasabi color and it smelled weird, which is not normal so I did not finish eating it. The sushi was a tad slimy but thought maybe it was still okay, but it ended up giving me some nausea. I know customer service isn't a thing anymore but holy shit. The guy sweeping the floor mean mugged me the whole time he came down the aisle sweeping and ran me off to the edge of the isle while he passed. Must have made him feel big. Then within 5 minutes some kid with a backpack on walking full speed down the aisle refused to slow down and actually stepped on my foot. I've been spending money here for 27 years. It's just close. I'm writing this 1 star review because this store has two annoying shortcomings. 1. They allow solicitors and anyone to stand out front and peddle anything. I've told them this is annoying and they should not allow this. 2. They fill the middle of the isles with so many product displays you cannot push your cart down the isles without constantly nocking into stuff or having to pull over to let other shoppers by. I have been coming to this location since it opened. Over the last year, the new manager has taken this store from a decent to poor. There is never any staff working and it does not matter what time of day. From the Deli to the Bakery. Very limited staff. However, the big this is to watch for expired and spoiled food items. Example, bread that has expired is still on the shelves. In addition, dairy products, ie. milk expired and frozen food items spoiled. Example, purchased a frozen pizza December 1. Didnt think to check if it expired. Went to make it a week later and noticed that the pizza expired October 15, 2023. So you need to watch what you buy at this location. Contacted Corporate regarding the alarming trend and no response. So take your chances when shopping at this Ralphs location. read more

I came in on 11/1 to buy eggs at night. My family is sick so I just wanted to get in and out and saw the eggs were on sale with a digital coupon. I didn't know you had to create an account to use coupons so I let the person behind me go in front of me. I created an account and waited. Once it was my turn I said I wanted to use the digital coupon and the cashier Debbie J right away gave me attitude. She asked if I clipped the coupon as if she was moments away from eye rolling at me. I had clipped the coupon. She then asked if I had a Ralphs card. I didn't. She then looked me in the eye and spoke to me as if I was stupid and said "you...need...a...Ralphs....card" with long pauses in between words. She then asked if I wanted a card. Absolutely not. Maybe if she was nicer I would be inclined to sign up for a card. When I said no thanks she then said "well you can't use the coupon without a card" I told her I just want the eggs and don't care about the coupon. I left immediately. First time coming to this store. Everyone was so helpful, I was at the seafood counter just checking out the selection. No one was behind the counter, someone came out very promptly asking me if I needed help. I told him I was just browsing the selection. He was so friendly and eager to help. That what happened was an annoyance. Well stocked, friendly and helpful staff. Produce is diverse and fresh. Starbucks located inside. Huge parking lot and never crowded. Scan and go handheld personal scanning system allows you to get in and out quickly, just scan items then go to the self check and scan the designated bar code. Your order will import for you to pay. You will have to take a few more steps to weigh and scan fresh produce even with the scan and go but I find the process fast after your initial practice. read more

I will never return to this Ralph's again. The employees staff and shoppers were all extremely rude. The stocking guys would not move out of the way or offer If they are in your way. You either need to wait or go in front of them. I went in front of them. If people don't give a F, why should i right? Went to buy lunch here and the lady behind the counter was very rude. Hollering at me with everyone around asking me what I want and shouting NEXT!! .. so I ordered the main meal and she asked, which one? I repeated the ____ meal which is #1 on their ordering chart. Mind you every time I speak she is rolling her eyes and staring at me like I ruined her day by ordering my food... "Okay so you want 2 pieces or how many pieces?" I said no I want the #1 meal.. ohhh you want that one... ok... Scoops everything in the box all angry and then didn't give me biscuits with the meal, told her asked again and then she got me it. I asked for ranch and she pointed at the large ranch container and didn't say anything so I assumed it's extra?? I asked the African American man for ketchup packets and he gave me them. The other lady walked away. As paying for the items there was a large man that was being very angry with customers. I heard an elderly lady wanted to buy something and then man was so rude he literally told her, "Can't you figure this out? It's not that hard.. that's all I'm saying.." and "all you do is search this..." the customer says I need help sir please help me and he responds with "you need help? Come on.. can't you just search the word??" What an AWFUL F'ing person. These kind of people should NOT be working here. Idk if they ALL had a bad day but I would NOT be taking it out on the customers and I'm sure they are having a normal day but I'm not sure. All I know is I will never be returning to this grocery store again or giving them my hard earned money. Supervisors and management needs to step this up ASAP and monitor/train better. OMG! I just finished my grocery shopping, and Arnold & Luke literally made my day. I usually go to Ralph's, but today's experience was very different. It was more than amazing. I went to this Ralphs store at 11:45 am today to by some top sirloin steaks for chicken fried steak dinners tonight. I asked the person at the meat department if he could put these steaks though the tenderizer. The response I got was an abrupt "we don't have a tenderizer" and walked away. Are you kidding me. Even if you don't have an electric tenderizer, are you telling me you don't even have a tenderizing mallet? . When I got home I got on the phone and called Ralphs store to let the management know that they have a problem. Well it's obvious to me that the management doesn't even care since no one would even answer the phone after letting it ring for over 5 minutes. (A phone rings every 4.75 seconds. Do the math. Employees working in the deli area are getting sore shoulders (repetitive motion injury) from operating the meat/cheese slicer. Because they are getting sore shoulders, they often cut the meat/cheese thicker than what the customer requested to reduce the repetitive motion. I often receive thinly sliced meat as opposed to the shaved meat I ordered. Furnishing the Deli with an "automatic meat slicer with integrated scale" would remedy the issue. One has to wonder why Ralph's tolerates a situation where employees are getting repetitive motion injuries and providing less than quality service as a result. read more

Ralphs is Ralphs. I give kudus to the employees on the floor though. Nobody ever seems to have enough Sprite Zero. In fact, they only have slots for 4. Well, when it takes 5 to get the best deal, that's kind of a problem isn't it? I honestly wonder if it's Coke's doing as several other stores have the same display setup. On more than one occasion, I've asked for help and they've always had some in the back. And they've always gotten it for me. Good job! Of course, this then begs the question - who's stocking the shelves? Otherwise, this location was remodeled a few months ago. I'm finally re-learning where everything is, but still get a little confused. It's nice though. Parking is great. There prices aren't always the best, and I have no desire to find a Shell station for their rewards, but they have a few items other chains stores don't so I'll continue to visit every now and then. read more
