I called Messina's and they were able to offer me a flavored medication for my 10 month old. Not it were they able to fill it within minutes, I didn't have to call the doctor or ask the bogus pharmacy anything. They took care of it all. They gave me very detailed instructions and displacing supplies to help mix and give. I was treated like an individual with meds and not a number. They offer a variety of over the counter medications but as limited as one would expect from a small private pharmacy. I'm officially bringing all my business to them.

By the time my physician had called them in and I drove there, all 4 were ready and the techs helped a lot with making sure all the applicable coupons were applied to get it as discounted as possible! Billie, which is a pharmacy tech there goes above and beyond with what she does! If I call and speak with her my meds are ready before I arrive and she delivers them with a smile. There was also a time that my husband was in ICU at the hospital and she went to visit him during a time that was not open for family visiting. She really surprised me when she called me out of the blue to tell me that she saw that he was there when filling his meds. She just wanted to let me know that he was fine and resting well. The people in here aren't customer service friendly, they are slow (like hours slow), they are so very inconsistent on filling, timing, & availability of meds. Higher cash bills to pay, oh no can't do that, they don't have change, ever it seems. Call and make sure they have your script and are filling it 3 hrs before you go to pick up; and they still don't a have it ready when you arrive, this is the place for you if you like to sit and wait on them. Call in a script to the automated system on a weekend - don't do that here, because they still won't check and order the meds on the Monday to have them for Tuesday when you need them, you're just expecting too much of this business doing that. Whew, and I haven't even gotten into the drive thru. Can we say cluster mess. I'm not talking once or twice with this scenario, this one has happened more than 5 times.. You're script isn't ready even though you called to make sure ahead of time, too bad, here's a buzzer drive around get back in the 7-10 car deep drive thru and wait again for over 30 minutes while we continue to try and get it together. Seriously, and then they get annoyed and flabbergasted when you say no, you aren't doing that. Ha, it's now somehow my fault and I'm being sent to the back of the line to wait even longer, I don't think so. Have to call days in advance because they don't stock your meds and they have to order every time - just go somewhere else, probably anywhere else would be better than here if that's the case. This place lost the small town family feel several years ago. Thank goodness there are other options in our city when I'm in a hurry, need it same day or want excellent customer service so I can go to them instead of here.

I had actually forgotten how nice it is to call and speak with a person. The other day, a young gentlemen came to my office with a prescription that was ready for my daughter without me even requesting delivery. Super impressed and love to support a local business.

I was having problems with my insurance company and CVS (Perkins Rowe) and Lagniappe were the only places that had my medication. Eric and Makaela have gone above and beyond dealing with my insurance company and getting my meds. approved. Meanwhile I had to keep calling CVS, was getting mixed information from different employees, would drive all the way across town bc a pharmacist told me it was ready when it wasn't, waited 4 extra days because they "forgot" to call me and tell me that they didn't even have my medication and that they would have to order it. I drove back and forth across town 4 times to CVS because the pharmacy techs and pharmacists weren't communicating with each other or with me. Trust me it's worth the drive to not have to deal with all that stress every time and it's nice to go to a pharmacy where the employees care.

Medications that I had been paying $200+ dollars/month for, due to my insurance not covering the medication, were suddenly available to me for $15/month because the staff at Lagniappe took the time to research my medications and found drug coupons. They did this completely unsolicited...just because they care about customer satisfaction! My prescriptions are ready on time and I get a text notifying me when it is time to pick them up. When I ran out of refills, the Pharmacy Tech called my Physician on my behalf to get more refills authorized. I have never dealt with such a customer-oriented Pharmacy!!

The receptionist openly said that; it's not speculation. On another occasion, my medicine was meant to be filled by the time I got there. I called ahead to make sure. When I arrived, it wasn't ready, so they took my number and said they'd call as soon as it was ready. I waited over an hour in the parking lot before I decided to drive back around. It was ready. They just never called. Cut to this morning. I call & ask them to fill my prescriptions. "Sure," the man says. "No problem. Give us 20 to 30 minutes and it'll be ready." It's now been an hour and a half, and they're still not ready. Terrible, terrible customer service. I'm honestly not sure how this place is still open. I've been using Bernard's for years, which is why I hadn't switched pharmacies before now, but I do think I'll start going to the Walgreens next door.

My husband went without his much needed medication for 2 weeks as a result! I found him to be condescending and untruthfull in our conversation. When asked for the owners info (which he originally claimed he was) I was told he lived in Canada. I have dates and times provided by the insurance compancy which totally contradict his explanations and whoever is responsible for this travisty should be held accountable. I will find the owners information and enlighten them of what is happening at there place of business (at least on this occasion).

This was another pharmacy I visited one too many times. Fortunately so, the staff here was always very helpful and a whiz at filling prescriptions. Most of the time, my scripts were called in by the doctor, so by the time I had gotten home, they were done and ready to be picked up! They have small parking lot, but if you really needed something there, you'll find a way to get your goods. The street was not super busy. In fact, it's located pretty deep into a small street that leads right to the Mississippi River levy. The store sold little trinkets and even some hygiene needs. It was almost often I ran into people I knew, so even got to catch-up with friends while I was there.

I highly recommend using Hometown Pharmacy, they treat everyone like family.
