While they have a small selection of over the counter products, the emphasis here is a well staffed and helpful pharmacy. The pharmacy team is both knowledgeable and personable. I like it so much so that I have transferred all my prescriptions to Prescriptions to Geaux. I have had enough of the big chain drugstores, and decided to go with a local and dependable business that actually seems to care about me. So, go for a pharmacy that specializes in making sure you get your prescriptions, and you can have a pleasant experience while doing so. It's small business, it's local, and it's just better than the alternatives!

But what truly places them in the 5 Start category is this: I was going out of town early the next day but it was already 5:30pm and they close at 6pm. So I wouldn't be able to get the much needed prescription that night. Instead, they offered to deliver the meds to my house that night so I wouldn't miss it. They kept in constant contact to make sure they got the address correct and that I received it I don't know if this is their standard practice, but it made a world of a difference in positive business practices. Call and make sure they have your script and are filling it 3 hrs before you go to pick up; and they still don't a have it ready when you arrive, this is the place for you if you like to sit and wait on them. Call in a script to the automated system on a weekend - don't do that here, because they still won't check and order the meds on the Monday to have them for Tuesday when you need them, you're just expecting too much of this business doing that. Whew, and I haven't even gotten into the drive thru. Can we say cluster mess. I'm not talking once or twice with this scenario, this one has happened more than 5 times.. You're script isn't ready even though you called to make sure ahead of time, too bad, here's a buzzer drive around get back in the 7-10 car deep drive thru and wait again for over 30 minutes while we continue to try and get it together. Seriously, and then they get annoyed and flabbergasted when you say no, you aren't doing that. Ha, it's now somehow my fault and I'm being sent to the back of the line to wait even longer, I don't think so. Have to call days in advance because they don't stock your meds and they have to order every time - just go somewhere else, probably anywhere else would be better than here if that's the case. This place lost the small town family feel several years ago. I used my insurance company mail in service for many years due to the supposed cost savings, and had forgotten how useful it is at times to be able to ask the pharmacist questions about the drugs I was taking, or about other minor health issues. But after a number of problems with the computer generated refill service, I decided to check out how much it would cost to buy my prescriptions locally at brick and mortar stores. Ralph's cost was equal to or lower than the 4 other pharmacies I checked with, and was within "pennies" of the mail order prices. And no more problems talking to a "computer" trying to get a refill sent when I need it, or cancel a prescription when the doctor changes the drugs I'm taking. The receptionist openly said that; it's not speculation. On another occasion, my medicine was meant to be filled by the time I got there. I called ahead to make sure. When I arrived, it wasn't ready, so they took my number and said they'd call as soon as it was ready. I waited over an hour in the parking lot before I decided to drive back around. It was ready. They just never called. Cut to this morning. I call & ask them to fill my prescriptions. "Sure," the man says. "No problem. Give us 20 to 30 minutes and it'll be ready." It's now been an hour and a half, and they're still not ready. Terrible, terrible customer service. I'm honestly not sure how this place is still open. I've been using Bernard's for years, which is why I hadn't switched pharmacies before now, but I do think I'll start going to the Walgreens next door.
