Cheapest gas/diesel prices in the Gonzalez/Geismar/Prairieville environs.... right off Exit 173 on…read moreI-10....10 double pumps in the service island for convenient fill up...the parking lot is roomy and entry and exit is pretty painless.... No fast food option attached to this store but this place is pretty damn large for a C store.....many o' refrigerated coolers for a bevy of beverages from alcoholic to non-alcoholic...large beer selection plus islands containing fresh fruit options in sealed cups as well as deli sandwiches....they also have a couple of the heated roller machines with franks & corn dogs staying warm... They have at least 5-6 different coffee options plus a pretty decent liquor selection and the standard array of tobacco products.... All in all this is a good to great C store...and if you find yourself at Exit 173 & in need of some 'go juice' for your vehicle and possibly some nibbles to satisfy your travel hunger....swing in and handle your bidness...this place will satisfy

Place was large and well appointed. Bathrooms were clean enough. We stopped mainly because of the coffee advertisement (best coffee it said). Wasn't too far off! They had a lot of choices. Went with the chicory coffee. We were in Louisiana after all and it was really good.

La Grove Plaza is much more than a gas station…read more I had to drive to Prairieville a few days ago for work and as soon as I went to leave I realized two things. The first was that the interstate headed to New Orleans was closed and I would need an alternate route (not relevant to the review). Second was that my fuel light was on. This station was the closest place to my alternate route, so I stopped in. Fueling up was fairly standard. The pump area was clean and receipts were dispensed with zero issues. While pumping I was able to get a view of the entire place. There was a massive oil change station as well as a fancy car wash. I've been to plenty of stations like that so I wasn't that impressed. Once I went inside I realized why this station was impressive. The convenience store is giant. What sets it apart is that it seemed 70% of the interior was dedicated to alcohol sales. I'm not talking MD 20/20 or Colt 45. There was a very large selection of high end wine, liquor and beer. There were even some super premium brands available. Apparently people in prairieville are fans of drinking. In summary, come here to get gas, get your oil changed, get a car wash and buy some single barrel Jack Daniels.

I have been fueling at this gas station for over a year, and I never imagined I would face such…read moreblatant discrimination here. What happened today was not just about a cashier's mistake--it was about being dismissed, disrespected, and treated as lesser simply because I am Asian. When I asked the cashier to check my lottery ticket, his attitude was hostile and impatient. His facial expressions showed nothing but contempt. He miscalculated my change and acted as if I was the one making trouble. Only after I physically recounted the bills in front of him did he admit his mistake. This was not a simple error--this was an employee treating a customer as if they didn't matter. What made it worse was the manager's response. I sincerely raised my concern, but she immediately defended the cashier and even mocked me, saying, "You need patience. He has worked here for 10 years. Should I send him back to school?" That response made it crystal clear: in her eyes, my experience, my feelings, and even my basic rights as a paying customer were worthless--because I am Asian. This is blatant discrimination. It is not a misunderstanding, not a minor issue, but prejudice deeply ingrained and openly displayed. As a loyal customer, today I felt the painful reality of being treated differently in America simply because of my race. Discrimination should never exist anywhere, especially not in a business that serves the public. I am deeply disappointed. Perhaps it is exactly because of his attitude and character that he has been stuck at a gas station job for ten years, instead of going any further.
