With the help of Johnny's wife (I didn't get her name!), I found the perfect tree for the space. She was extremely helpful and friendly, and we had a nice long visit about life and everything under the sun. What a wonderful, friendly place! The price was right -- $78 for a 15-gallon tree about five feet tall -- and Henry put the tree into my car for me. I'll certainly be back in the spring!

Cherry Valley Nursery & Landscape Supply in Beaumont, CA has a lot of practical…read morebenefits--especially if you're into gardening, landscaping, or improving your yard. 1. Huge plant selection They're known for having a very large variety of plants, including: * Fruit and nut trees (citrus, avocado, etc.) * Flowering plants and shrubs * Succulents and drought-tolerant plants * Vegetable starts and herbs This makes it easier to find plants that actually do well in Inland Empire heat. 2. Landscaping materials in one place Instead of going to multiple stores, you can also get: * Soil, mulch, compost * Decorative rock and boulders * Sod (like marathon grass) * Pavers and garden supplies So it's more of a one-stop landscaping shop. ‍ 3. Helpful, knowledgeable staff are always so approachable, knowledgeable and helpful. Great customer service: * Helpful with plant selection * Good at giving growing advice for local climate * Able to help plan landscaping projects This is especially useful if you're not sure what will survive in your yard. 4. Plants suited for Southern California Because they serve the local region, they tend to stock plants that handle: * Heat * Drought conditions * Inland desert-like weather swings That means fewer "trial and error" plant failures. 5. Often better value than big box stores (depending on item) Many people go there because: * Larger plants are often healthier and more established * Bulk materials (soil/rock) can be more cost-effective * Better selection of specialty trees compared to Home Depot/Lowe's 6. Local convenience + delivery options * Easy access off Cherry Valley Blvd * Bulk materials and landscaping supplies can often be delivered * Good for both DIY gardeners and contractors 7. Inspiration factor Even if you don't know exactly what you want, it's a good place to: * Walk around and get landscaping ideas * See mature plants and how they'll look in real yards It's not just a plant store--it's a full landscaping resource center with a huge selection and local expertise, especially useful for Inland Empire gardening conditions.

We were so excited to go tree shopping, but unfortunately our experience was completely…read moreovershadowed by the older woman who helped us. From the very beginning, she was rude, dismissive, and condescending. Every question I asked was met with a response that made me feel like I was being talked down to instead of helped. From what I could tell, they have a decent selection of trees, but after that interaction I wasn't even able to enjoy looking around because I just wanted to leave. My husband has been there before and says everyone else has always been friendly, so I'm trying not to judge the entire business based on one employee. Still, one bad interaction can make a lasting impression, and unfortunately this experience was enough that we'll likely be taking our business elsewhere.

Today we bought Deer Grass, Sage and Lavender which will be perfect in our large SoCal backyard. They were helpful and kind and knowledgeable. We had such a marvelous experience from beginning to end. I'll be returning very soon. I understand they have an online business as well. I can tell you, from experience, that buying online from ANY nursery is always hit and miss and most often not the fault of the nursery but simply of time and transit problems with delivery. Whenever you can I would absolutely recommend driving directly to the nursery. And finally, let me add, if you drive to SoCal nursery you will not be disappointed.

Horrible quality and even worse customer service!…read more I was extremely disappointed with my order from plantclearance.com (SoCal Nursery). I received an Azalea that arrived severely stressed and completely dehydrated. I reached out to customer service "George" expecting a replacement plant or a refund, but his response was "Just water it." For the price paid, I expected a healthy plant, not a resuscitation project. Telling a customer to water a plant that arrived in this condition is a complete brush-off. Save your money and buy from a nursery that actually stands behind the quality of their plants. I won't be shopping here again.
