I went in to purchase ground beef and noticed that the packages were labeled as 80% lean / 20% fat. I had a coupon for that specific ground beef, but when I went to check out, the coupon didn't apply. I asked for assistance, and the manager working that night told me that I had picked up the wrong product because, according to what was listed in their system, it was a different item. I explained that the packages themselves were clearly labeled 80/20, and she basically told me that the information on their end was different. What frustrated me even more was that instead of acknowledging that the product was incorrectly labeled, she simply said "sorry" and walked away. I went back to the meat section to find the correct product, only to realize that all of the packages were labeled incorrectly. I even took a picture because I wanted to make sure I wasn't mistaken. When I came back and showed the manager the picture, her response was basically, "Hmm, that's weird." At that point, I honestly felt like I wasn't being believed, even though I had literally shown her proof of the incorrect labeling. She eventually tried to work out the price in the system, but what bothered me most was the lack of accountability and genuine apology throughout the situation. Mistakes happen, and I completely understand that. What matters is how you handle them, especially when you're the manager. I shouldn't have had to go back and search through the meat section again because the products were mislabeled in the first place. A simple acknowledgment like, "I'm sorry, these were labeled incorrectly. Let me fix this for you," would have made the situation completely different. I'm leaving this review because I hope management takes situations like this more seriously and makes sure the labeling is corrected so other customers don't run into the same issue.

I know that it's probably an extrovert part of me, but the people who work here are oddly therapeutic to talk to and they make the day easier with their questions. It feels like a family whenever I talk to anyone working the cash register. I love the quality of everything at Trader Joe's. I even use their skincare. Highly recommended and comparable to large brand names for cheaper prices. I don't know how Trader Joe's always knows how to get with the times, but they do a good job most of the time getting down flavors/vibes. I didn't see any of the workers besides this older lady setting up the Mexican corn cake station. She was in the pastry section so I asked her where I could find the churros. And she laughed ?!? And shook her head with no words. In her weird lack of customer experience way of letting me know, "No." They also set up these yellow metal bars all over the exit. Good luck trying to get out if you're not buying anything. I had to ask this nice lady if she could let me slide through while she was paying. They don't even have those bars in Mexico.
