They are about a 4.5-star affair... I like checking out their grab-and-go area especially for quick meals. Whether it is chicken, sushi, crab cakes, sandwiches, there is always something good. I come here for dairy as well such as whole milk, barista oat milk, cheeses (for making cannoli pie) and their frozen dessert section. Today I found a new iced peach tea in a can. I had never seen it so we will see it's a win. I like the ingredients in the Planet Barista Oat Milk which seem better than most. I like oat milk and whole milk (alternate or combine) in my coffee beverages whether hot or iced. They have plenty of self-check-out stations and many manned registers when the store is busy. We were on our way back from dining at a nearby restaurant and stopped by Ralphs to pick up a few items before headed home. Smaller store but very well-stocked. Almond milk, oat milk, yogurt, oatmeal, coffee filters, and grapes. We were able to get them all in one stop shop. Their meat and salmon are always good. Produce always of good quality at Ralphs. There's also a Starbucks inside the store. Good location in a shopping center with many restaurants surrounding that whole area within a couple blocks. So convenient. read more

Once again I go to Ralph's to pick some groceries up and met with solicitors at the front door. So I left. Other supermarkets in the area doesn't have that problem as they enforce it. Maybe the will learn something with this. The other thing is the lack of Handicap parking in front of the store. But the have plenty parking for Grocery Pickup where the customers sit in the car for the groceries to be delivered. That's ok waiting for your groceries. But I guess they don't want the young employees to walk to far compared to the Disabled. The Grocery Pickup use to be on the side of the store. read more

This store is so bad I have to update my review from 8 years ago. If you have the unfortunate need of going to the store early in the morning, you'll be met with one checker on shift, who most of the time, is nowhere to be found. There is one Hispanic checker in the mornings that will go out of her way to ignore you so she doesn't have to open up a lane to check you out. She expects you to go through self checkout, even with a cart full of groceries. I stood there looking at her for literally 5 minutes while she had a conversation, mostly in spanish, about her hatred of another employee. I was totally ignored and I still spent over $200 on groceries....and of course I had to check myself out because that lady ignored me and then disappeared. Never again. Stopped in for a birthday cake at the bakery. Love their cakes!! I was bummed they didn't have any Halloween ones here (I saw them at another Ralphs) but still had fresh cakes to choose from. They also have pretty candles you can buy at the bakery stand. Easy one stop for birthday fun! read more

Almost every time I leave here I ask myself "why the hell did I just go here" ? You walk in and are greated by the wreaking stench of fried chicken ( at ALL times day/ night ) The staff / employees are atrocious. Non existent to be frank. Try asking for help. To be CLEAR With exception to the disabled/ special needs employees they are the ONLY ones working or trying to assist and honestly it's so sad. Cashier today literally stopped while scanning my bananas in her hand to turn around and have a complete conversation with her co worker partly In Spanish so Lord knows what they where talking about in general. After literal minutes she goes back to her main job SCANNING the bananas she has been swinging around in her hand ? The deli/hot food section has really gone down hill over the past few months. STOP SELLING OLD food and TWICE FRIED chicken. The lady that works behind the counter says it is not twice fried...it is TWICE FRIED. Prices have gone up and customers are receiving horrible food. I wanted to give a special shout out for the manager, Joseph !!! He helped me with gift cards that were faulty. And it took him a whole hour with me to make calls and get everything straight so I wouldn't lose the money on the cards a super calm, super patient and did his job. Well he should be commended !!! I was coming here for a quick healthy lunch. Unfortunately, if you get a sandwich from the deli counter, they hide the mayo or are out of it almost everyday, so weird to see the same problem 3 times a week for a couple months. Why do sandwiches if you treat the mayo like some kind of gold. Also, the Togo sushi from Zenshi is pretty bad. I would get California rolls so I don't eat anything raw, but my latest California roll had hard unopened avocado in it, hard and rubbery, so weird. I had a less than desirable experience at this Ralph's today. The app said my order was ready so I chose the "on my way" option. I arrived to pick up my groceries around 5:10pm (pickup window was 5-5:30pm) and checked in on the app. By 5:34pm, no one had come out to my spot so I decided to call the store (I understand that I could have called sooner but I was trying to be patient). I proceeded to speak to at least three different people, the 2nd and 3rd of which acted like they didn't know why they were picking up my call and I had to re-explain the situation, just to be put on hold again. All of them lacked an ounce of customer service skills too, by the way. Eventually, I spoke with a young man who let me know that their system was messed up and they were an hour and a half behind on orders and asked if I could come back at 6:30. I explained that I would not be able to do that because the location was nowhere near my house. I asked if they would be able to refund me and if I would be refunded immediately, and they said they didn't know how quick the charge would be reversed (understandable). I declined and said I would wait instead. A few minutes later, the young man that I spoke with on the phone came out to my car and said that his boss had already cancelled my order due to miscommunication. This was at around 5:50pm. I ended up going in to shop for myself right after. I wasted time placing my pickup order and sitting and waiting for my order to come out, just to have to go in and shop anyway which was quite frustrating. Overall, I just wish that someone would have noticed that I had checked in and come out to let me know my order wasn't ready before I had sat there for 25+ minutes... and maybe some sort of resolution?? I do want to shout out Bob who checked me out and Quinn who bagged my groceries because they were both fantastic and so friendly! read more

I've always loved this Ralph's because how easy it is to be in and out. I'm not sure what's happening for about the last few months they only have self checkout open and 3 of the self checkout registers were down at 9pm the line was insane so insane they finally opened a regular register but only ONE. The self checkout if you have more than 12 items will ask you to get an associate it's frustrating. I'm not sure what's happening but just to buy groceries is such a hassle. This is reoccurring I'm not sure what's happening but they need some changes. read more

This is an average Ralphs in a strip mall in Aliso Viejo. The aisles are wide and full of well stocked merchandise. It's no Gelson's but it's fine for staples like grapes, yogurt and blueberries. Parking is easy and so is self check out. read more

An employee of Ralph's at Aliso Viejo is causing me many issues. The first time I experienced it was about a couple weeks- a month ago when she rang me up incorrectly with an item that was but one get one free and she rang it up half off. I went back to go check on the receipt and then noticed not only that but I had only needed two bags and she charged me for 6! Up on pointing that out she just said oh I didn't see how many bags you got. So I said "so you just took a guess and charged me for more bags than what I got"? She had no remorse AT ALL and said yeah I guess I did , let me give you your $.40 back. Acting like I m cheap, when that's NOT THE POINT. I got so frustrated, I just left because we asked to speak to a manager and we got the run around. We as in my husband and I. I was going to just leave it alone BUT I went in there today, I stopped going to Ralph's because of this but I was in a hurry and needed to go there quick, I was checking out and minding my own business, when all of a sudden SOMEONE SHOVED ME while I was paying for my items. I expected to be met with a "oh I'm so sorry I ran into you, but NO. I turned around and low and behold it was HER. I CANNOT BELIEVE RALPHS SUPPORTS EMPLOYEES WHO TREAT CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS. I was going to drop it but now that this happened... no. So I told her, you just ran into me , and she said "oh I did, I'm so sorry" sarcastically. Ralphs NEEDS to do something about this. There are no regular cashiers available. You have to be your own cashier and then there's not enough help. If the register doesn't like what you're scanning then it takes forever to flag someone to help, to top it off all the cart wheels are horrible. They don't move in at risk for hurting someone's back. I only couldn't spend set amount of money and I accidentally went over because I payed for someone else's groceries (my fault). I visit this grocery store weekly. The best part about this Ralph's is the excellent customer service! Today, my cashier was Maria. I had a Boston pork butt in my cart and as Maria scanned this item, she alerted e that it "smelled funny" (ie: past it's prime) and said she'd prefer to keep this cut of meat away from customers. (And dispose of it.) I've never had a cashier be so courteous and caring for my health! She most likely saved my family from getting really sick from a bad cut of meat! I've tried giving this Ralph's a chance so many times but the customer service is just not improving. Each time I go to the check stand, there a couple employees who are just nasty with me. If this continues I plan on getting their names. What happened to greeting customers and smiling? Not everybody is having a bad day and you are getting paid to make sure everyone is happy with their shop. Let me teach you. "Did you find your shop okay?" The customer service at this location has improved quite a bit, while some things have worsened. The produce has gotten really bad... especially the greens (particularly the broccoli and spinach). The leaves often look wilted, as if old or it had to travel a long ways to get here. It's gotten' to a point where I now do part of my shopping at Ralph's, and then I buy all my produce at Whole Foods. Seriously, look at the produce at Whole Foods... it's like night and day. They also stopped carrying quite a few organic dairy products they used to carry. I hope they improve their stock as this is by far the most convenient place to shop at in terms of location. BEST MEAT DEPARTMENT EVER. I came in with my wife and 2 kids looking to get a good selection for a barbecue. Right away the gentleman named michael was super enthusiastic to help me out. It's ok. Not great though. It's really expensive compared to other stores and the self checkout is very lackluster. I went to checkout for maybe 5 items at self checkout and there was a lady waiting for service so I called out to one of the workers (an elderly man) and he yelled "one sec". There were no bags so people were just grabbing them out of the restocking pile that the workers were supposed to be doing. I wouldn't go back as it's way too overpriced. Grocery Shopping: Let me get this straight: Prices are going through the roof at the grocery store. We are to wonder around aimlessly in the grocery store, because finding someone to help is virtually impossible, to eventually find out the store is out of stock of the item we just spent 20 minutes finding. We proceed to the check out where they want us to work for free as our own cashier. Then they charge us for the bag(s) we used to bag our own groceries. Then we load our car, drive home only to find out the $120.00 or more we spent equals two bags! I thought the airlines was bad. Enough!!!! read more
