1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD 5.2L V8…read more I got this Jeep from a friend for free because her son severely overheated the engine and failed to notice the temperature gauge. He also did not pay attention to the oil In 2011, I had my Jeep's engine rebuilt by Eddings, and now, 12 years and 100,000 miles later, it's still running great and it uses no oil. When they rebuilt the engine I had them balance it, as well, which was money well spent, because Eddings discovereed that when the former owner of the Jeep had the engine rebuilt when her son blew up the engine the FIRST time, the rebuilder (not Eddings) had used connecting rods from various other similar engines and it was badly out of balance. The engine still runs as smoothly today as it did when I first got it back from Eddings, which is virtually perfectly smooth. I was impressed that Eddings took the time to blueprint all of the intake and exhaust valves, in their respective groups, and make sure they were all the correct and equal lengths. This also contributed to the engine's smooth running. Because the cylinder heads had been cracked when the prior owner overheated the engine, and because I was very concerned with the susceptibility of the stock Magnum heads to cracking, Eddings sourced some heavy-duty heads from an Australian company, and used those. These heads are very heavy castings, not prone to cracking, and they flow better than the stock heads. My Jeep runs great and is very reliable with 240,000 miles (overall) on it. In fact, when the transmission finally died 30,000 miles ago, I spent quite a bit of money getting it rebuilt by a top transmission shop. The reason that I did this is because the engine runs so well and is so durable now, that I wasn't worried about the engine dying before the rebuilt transmission met it's maker. I'm fully expecting this engine to last several hundred thousand more miles, not only because of Eddings' work, but because I fastidiously maintain it with top quality oil, filters and coolant changes. Obviously, I very highly recommend Eddings Engine Rebuilding. They were not the least expensive, but they are one of the best.

So I pull up to LA CUSTOM FOOD TRUCKS to talk to Vik. This guy was such a jokester, but after all the jokes he got down to business. We went through the trailer and the plans. he pointed out all the corrections I needed. Then he called Andy over and these guys started brainstorming like a movie. They were rattling off codes and requirements. Their shop was full so I did a tour and I could tell they knew what they were doing. Quality is top notch, they build from the ground up. Needless to say I left my trailer with them for an estimated 3 weeks. Vik called me 2 days after I dropped it off to pick-up my plans. The health department approved the plans, and Vik and Andy had my trailer back to me in 2 weeks from start to finish. These guys are very knowledgeable, skilled and efficient. The trailer was certified the following week, and is out paying for itself. Couldn't have asked for two better guys to work with. My next trailer will be built by LA CUSTOM FOOD TRUCKS start to finish. HIGHLY RECOMMED!! THANK YOU guys again!! JEFFREY M.
