This store is adorable - always a solid offering of trendy and timeless clothing, quirky/fun gifts, plants, accessories, etc. Sort of like Target x10000 (you go in for one thing and walk out with 30). So much thought has been put into each product and detail of the store itself. I normally have to steer myself away from boutiques because I'm a poor young person and can't afford boutique pricing, but everything here is fair, affordable, and (yes it's true) high quality. I've been shopping here since it first opened and this place has always been quality/lovely! Whenever I'm back in Ames I have to swing in. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and visit :)

I only hope my review can help other college students be smart about their money and realize, as my friend did, that instead of supporting a small business that she thought she was, it still supports unethical fast fashion. I also know how hard my friend works for her money, which is why I was prompted to write this. Even if it is legal, I find it wrong to upscale and mislead college students.

When my parents came to visit recently, we stopped by Emerhoff's Footwear to get me a new pair of sneakers (mine had holes in the heels) and also to find a solid pair of shoes for my upcoming internship. The service was amazing--from the wide selection and quality brands to the genuinely helpful staff. I was able to try on a bunch of different sneakers until I found the right pair. Then, when it came to the work shoes, they helped me test out insoles and different fits until we found something that worked perfectly. A special shoutout to Chloe--she went above and beyond. They ordered the work shoes in for me, and instead of making me pay a ridiculous shipping fee to get them to my dorm, Chloe personally delivered them. Amazing service and knowledge of their customer base, I am proud to say that they value quality and service in high regard. Huge thanks to both Chloe and the store owner for the top-notch service, not just during the purchase, but all the way through until the shoes were in my hands. I HIGHLY recommend Emerhoff's if you're in Ames or anywhere nearby. You won't be disappointed.

This was the second used car in row that was a POS and needed engine too soon after purchase. Not feasible at time to buy new it was either another used car crap-shoot or buy used engine. Since I tried both small and large dealerships with same results decided to try luck at buying an engine. Our mechanic found engine online at Carney & Sons with around 50K mileage for very reasonable price. The delivery charge to Des Moines was also quite reasonable and even delivered the short week of Thanksgiving. The reason waited so long to review is that wanted to ensure engine lived up to expectation. No longer have Camry but the engine worked flawlessly and provided great piece of mind. Finally made used car decision that paid off in long run. Email and phone support was prompt, courteous and transaction was smooth no issues whatsoever. Thanks again.
