I don't live in Ione anymore but it was so bad I used to drive there until the pharmacy changed hands. I started coming back here and it's a little bit better but once again I just waited in line for 15 minutes after their automated system said it was ready and then was told it's not ready and it would take a half hour. So now I have to drive home and come back a second time which this has to be at least the 8th time this has happened. Unfortunately there's not a lot of better options in the amador county

We have been shopping here for years ( every Tuesday) and…read moreevery single time we come into contact with Kamal she singles us out and today is the last time we will shop here!!! We went through self check out today because the regular check stands had lines and when we came in to the self check out area she was on the side you first enter but as soon as she seen us she walked to the other side to watch us. We got dog food a mop head and we bought quite a few of the Starbucks blue raspberry energy drinks. (We do every week) we paid I believe it was close to $130 and as we walked out she watched us which I know that's her job but she watched us closer then any other customer so as we walked out the doors I looked back and she stopped the next customer from using the self check out we had just used to pull our receipt so I went up to her and asked her if she needed our receipt and she said she already had it and needed to review something on our receipt (Why just ours?). I told her I'm tired of her doing this to only us every single time and she's racist! I walked out and told my husband and he wanted me to go back to talk to a manager when I walked back in she was showing our receipt to two guys standing by the lottery machine so I went up and asked to talk to a manger and one of the guys said he was a manager (Frank) I told him the situation and he said he would review and that he has seen us in there a lot I know he was also looking into our receipt which I don't know if it's because she called him or I guess we just get watched. We come every Tuesday between 2 and 4 and never once have we ever not paid for something. I have even came in to where she stands right behind me so I get you will take up for this employee but there has to be a point where you do t single people out like this. We will not be back, we happened to look and can get everything through Amazon but just hoping maybe you just look at our transactions to see we have been paying for all our items every single week for years and did not deserve this and hoping this helps other customers that get singled out like this.

They said they had some 'technology' problem but the fact is there is usually a very long line, a very slow clerk and general incompetence all around. The rest of the store is a mess and I'm still afraid it'll close and then Jackson will have NO drugstore. Most of the people I know have gone elsewhere already. The line…read more- while my groceries were melting - was 45 minutes long and the prescription I needed wasn't ready. After paying for my groceries and putting them into the car I came back and they gave me a different prescription and told me that the one I wanted "won't be in until Monday". (today is Friday) Safeway is 20 miles from my house. Dozens of people were fuming. An older wheelchair bound man got a page from his wife in the car (hot outside) and had to leave before his was ready. Unacceptable doesn't even begin to cut it.

The allure to a small pharmacy is service. They answer the phones. They don't make you push any…read morebuttons, they just answer the phones. This one does not. They don't even pick up after long waits. They don't even pick up for the doctors office who pushes the button for doctor calling. My doctor called at least 3 times and gave up. It's a little hard to get prescriptions if they don't answer the phone. They used the excuse (same one they always give) that they were short staffed. That sounds good, but it really doesn't excuse it. They control how many they have working and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out one won't suffice. But regardless of staff, they installed the phone system designed to not answer the phones. I had high hopes for them, but I am very disappointed in this business and predict they will not last, because they fail to understand the real product (which is service).
