Years ago, when we first moved to Valley Springs, we used CVS pharmacy. What an awful staff they had! We switched all of our prescriptions and drove the 30 minutes to Jackson, just to not deal with these rotten people. They were so rude, slow, never answered the phone and just made the whole experience horrible. Recently, they have replaced the entire staff. I couldn't be happier. I have since moved our prescriptions back to the local CVS and will stay there as long as they keep a positive, helpful staff. read more

FYI-if you see a sales price on line, DO NOT order for pickup at store-you will not get the sales price, which they don't bother to tell you & they charge you .20 cents for a little bag that you didn't ask for I will be calling the manager- this is ridiculous, sales price should be sales price period! read more

if I could give no stars I would. I go in to get my prescription like always every 2 weeks and they tell me they can't fill it.. "according to their systems my prescription has already been picked up" ummm what? i definitely did not come pick up the prescription. i ask them to check the surveillance, and check the ID on the person if someone came and picked up my prescription, because you have to give your ID in order to pick up my type of prescription. They said that they would try to get to check the surveillance the next day. Mind you, I'm not supposed to go a day without taking my medicine. So they are trying to have me go 2+ days with no medication due to a most likely glitch in their computer system, with no urgency to check the surveillance. I think I'll definitely be switching pharmacies after this. Im having to pay $230 out of pocket for my medication. read more

There customer service is the worst ever. They are plain rude. There phone system is terrible take 20 minutes to get to the pharmacy if at all. There hour are bad. I didn't like Walmart but they where 3 times better then this place read more

Don't go to CVS pharmacy in Valley Springs for anything remotely life threatening like Covid. Dr sent a prescription for Covid/ they said they had it in stock but DAYS later said they were mistaken- wrong prescription-questioned cough medicine w codeine - had to talk to my Dr- that wasted days that I could've been taking the Covid medication. NEVER thought I'd give a CVS five stars but, after my experience today in the pharmacy, I'm changing my tune. I went in to ask if a prescription was ready for me. I didn't think it was because I hadn't received a text but thought I'd ask. The pharmacist overheard the conversation, took me to a different register, and researched it for me. Turns out the meds I needed are back ordered. He sold me what he had and researched which pharmacy had enough stock to fill it properly, and then wrote down the number for me. I was astounded. I had the best custom service here today a lovely lady named Sue. She went above and beyond to make sure I got everything I needed. Also the pharmacist came and helped me find what I needed they didn't carry what I needed so yhe pharmacist goes online and ordered me what I needed. Great customer service today. Thank u cvs!!!! The aggravation at this CVS never ends (shorted by 30 pills, shorted by 2 pills, no syringes with shots, no pipette with drops) No rules for accepting the GoodRX Gold card. Specifically Phenobarbital. Sometimes they honor the GoodRX Gold card, sometimes they don't ( at the same location). Is it up to the pharmacy technician who sets the rules ? (Safeway honors GoodRX for the prescriptions CVS sometimes declines). Try to call? Wait is long, music and interspersed commercials are horribly annoying. Phone-in a prescription? Not ready at promised time. Visit in person? Wait is long for drop-off and then again for pick-up. read more

Went to pick up my husband's Rx because CVS said it would be ready that afternoon. I went in at 3:00 and of course it was not ready. I asked the person at the drop off desk why it was not ready and he rudely replied "it's technically still the afternoon". We also canceled an Rx once over the the phon and again in person and they still have not deleted it. The worst place. We deserve better service!! read more

Worst customer service ever. I dropped off a prescription. "IN TWO different lines!" They said they couldn't accept prescriptions in the first line? I can't stand for very long because I have MS. The customers in line could see that. I couldn't sit down because all the seats were taken. A lady in front of me seen I couldn't stand and told me to come up with her to drop off the prescription. CVS has a defective phone app. its constantly giving me notifications of non-prescriptions to pick up, and some actual prescriptions, from 4 years ago! So I went to go check on my prescription. I was told they couldn't fill my prescription because they couldn't read it? My doctor told me they are "jerking me around!" The doctor gave me a new prescription, and told me to go to a different Pharmacy. I went to New Pharmacy and got my prescription filled in under 5 minutes. Goodbye CVS! read more

Worthless. CVS site stated vaccines available at this store. Called and spoke with evidently a slug and recommended me to their website. Terrible customer service. Horrible pharmacy techs and pharmacists. They have awful attitudes and show no courtesy towards loyal customers. Repeatedly never tell customers when prescriptions are due for renewals, and then turn you away with no options when you come to pick up. Recall systems are never updated so alerts are unheard of. I am 63 years old so have been around the block a few times. This has got to be the worst pharmacy anyplace I have ever been for service. I have been here a few times but if your first in line you have a pretty good chance of getting out within fifteen minutes or so. Today I was third in line. If I could give this store zero stars, I definitely would. The day is 9/4/13 at approximately 1:20pm when I visited this store. I walk in looking for a new iphone charge/sync cable, I don't need the charger. I walk over to the aisle and look for the cable. I grab a package, look at it, it's not going to work. I grab a different one, it's not going to work either. I realize that I am not going to find this cable on this aisle so I walk around to the next aisle, maybe there are more cables on that side? As I'm walking in the next aisle, the store manager walks over to me. He is a tall caucasian male in his 40's. He says, "excuse me Sir, do you have anything in your pockets? You just opened up 3 packages on this aisle." I reply, "No, I did not open anything". He then says, "You sure you don't have anything in your pockets? 2 of my store reps just told me that they saw you opening packages and taking stuff. " "I didn't open anything, I'm looking for an iphone cable by itself but I couldn't find it," I replied. He then says, "You have to leave my store." I reply, "Okay, I'll leave, no problem, but if you kick me out of your store, just remember, I didn't open anything." "What phone do you need a cable for" he asks. This guy then walks over to the cable section again and he sees that NONE of the packages have been opened. "I'm looking for a iphone 3GS cable." I reply. He then picks up one of those flimsy disposable retractable charge cables and says, "oh this cable might work, it's also retractable!" He walks over to a price checker machine, I walk behind him, but I'm on my way out the store anyways. I ask the store manager, "So who are these store reps that accuse me of opening packages, I'd like to speak with them" The store manager just shakes his head and says, "I can't tell you who they are." He rings up the price and says, "oh it's only $3 something(I don't remember the price exactly) do you want it?" I look at this store manager in the face and say, "No thanks, I've already been harassed here today" and I walk out of the store. To anyone reading this, this is not a made up story. I wrote this review exactly as it happened while I was still in the CVS parking lot in my vehicle. CVS employees, review your store cameras and watch me in the charge cable aisle. I'm wearing a black cap, black and grey t-shirt, jeans and some Timberland boots. read more

Unbelievably helpful! I forgot my medication at home and needed to pick up a week supply. The pharmacist stayed after the pharmacy closed to allow me to get my medications as soon as possible. So happy we stopped here! read more

Called in a prescription 3 days ago for refill.....now I'm here to pick it up and was told I have to wait another 20 minutes because it wasn't done. After waiting the 20 minutes, I'm then told I have to come back the next day to get the prescription. I arrive back at the pharmacy the following day at 3 pm and still find that the prescription has not been filled and get to wait another half hour to find the meds in their stockroom and then fill the order. CVS bought out the only other pharmacy in town but the poor service obviously hasn't improved......hate having to go here, will probably have my prescriptions filled in Angels Camp from now on, this place is rediculous! read more

This pharmacy is very subpar. The pharmacy and it's employees are very unorganized. The employees are very unprofessional (talking to other employees about how happy they will be when they are off, in front of the customers). I had to go "cold turkey" off of one medication because it took 5 days for them to finally get it in. I also had to go down to the store 3 times in that 5 days, with each visit being at least 30 minutes. Long, slow lines. I'm going to try a different CVS next time - can't be much worse. I think that because we're out here in the "boonies" with no competition or choice to go somewhere else, we have to put up with sub-par service. The regular store part (not the pharmacy), though, is fine! Update: I have to say that lately the service has MUCH improved, probably because they upset everybody so much (for legitimate reasons) that everybody is going miles away from here, like Jackson, to get their prescriptions filled. Everybody hated this place after they took on a contract that they didn't have the resources for. Think! People! If you're going to have many, many new patients, you need Many! Many! new people to process these people! This isn't rocket science. Anyway, while still not as good as the CVS in Jackson, at least now it it "doable." This circus would never happened, though, if management had a good head on their shoulders and could think beyond their noses. It improved, but only because frustrated people went elsewhere, not because of anything the pharmacy did to improve things. I'll up my rating to 2 stars, but only because people left and now it doesn't' have such a circus, uncaring atmosphere anymore (because there are no more customers!) read more

This CVS pharmacy is horrible. Never have prescriptions ready or they mess them up. The lines are long, never have enough help. This is our only pharmacy in town, only use if absolutely necessary. They need to take lessons from Target or Walgreen pharmacies. read more

They fail. I get the wrong med so often that it scares me. Last time, I sent the wrong one back with hubby, and called the pharmacy to explain the problem. They were mad at me for leaving the store with the wrong med!! AND, they confiscated the med they told me on the phone that they wouldn't replace with the correct one. I got chewed out by two pharmacists for not checking the med in the bag that was stapled shut and had the correct med name typed on the BIG label I could read. In the fine print, that I have to use a magnifying glass to read, I saw that the manufacturing company was incorrect. So, I have to take a magnifying glass with me to the store. OK. NOT! I currently have one script that says ready for pickup. However, they will not release it until they "decide when I should have it" -quote from pharmacist today. I don't want to drive to Jackson to get my meds, but it seems I'm going to have to try a new pharmacy and see if it is any easier to get needed meds. read more

This is your standard CVS with a little bit of everything. They have a small grocery section(including milk). Prices are standard and they have good sales. Be sure to get a CVS card so you can take advantage of the discounts. The staff was friendly and the store was easy to navigate. read more

All of the employees are very friendly and helpful. Especially Tristan and Bruce. It's not easy shopping with toddlers, but these boys are extra patient when I come in to shop. read more

I have never had such poor service as this place. I've complained to the manager to no avail. And the problem is that they're the only pharmacy in town. You wait in line only to be told it's not filled and then had to wait again. Or they say the Dr. never sent it in, only to contact the Dr. and be told yes they sent the 'script in hours ago.
