I'm not sure how often they grill outside, but someone was grilling tri-tip yesterday. We bought the tri-tip family meal, which came with tri-tip that we picked up outside, then had it sliced inside at the deli counter, 2 lbs of baked beans with bits of unexpected pineapple, potato and macaroni salad, and rolls, all for only $36.99 + tax. The tri-tip was still juicy and delicious after microwaving it at home, and the cold salads made it back safely since we had a cooler. The beans were exceptionally delicious. I've never had them with pineapple before, only in macaroni salad. We need to boycott fast food with their outrageous prices these days. This was obviously better and fairly priced.

They were so rude, slow, never answered the phone and just made the whole experience horrible. Recently, they have replaced the entire staff. I couldn't be happier. The disadvantage is the shop doesn't carry much and they are often closed, sometimes when they should be open, making it an unpredictable location you shouldn't necessarily rely on for last minute pickups or an emergency fill up. I've been through here a handful of times. It's never bad, but the slow pumps and uninspired service aren't anything to get excited about either. Think of it as a good daytime stopover when in Sutter Creek, when convenient.

Nothing to get to excited about, but there is something to be said about actually being a convenient place to stop - many convenience stores are more of a hassle for so many reasons. The gas can be pricier at this spot simply because of the elevation and lack of competitive options. The store is fully stocked with all the goodies you would need for snacking or quenching thirst, and the gentleman behind the counter was friendly enough. The car wash not clean. When complaining, they would not make it right. They tried to tell me you can't see the soap. Uh-huh, because there isn't any. I be washed my car here over 100 times. There is always soap you can see, except for this time and one time prior (where they would not stand behind it then either). I have bought gas here for years. I buy things in the store.
