Inside the store is roomy and clean. Bathrooms are better than most, but still not as clean as the bathroom at home. Their diesel pumps are located out behind the station, but well lit at night, no worries. Family Chevron also has propane.
Their pumps work by credit card 24/7, even after they have closed the store part and turned out the lights.
One gripe- Their gasoline pumps don't work right on my Jeep. They work fine on our other vehicles, but on the Jeep, no way. The problem is, when you start the pump, it immediately shuts itself off, as if the tank was full. I have to hold the nozzle part way in and hold the foreskin on the nozzle back with the opposite hand, and run the pump as slow as possible just to fill the Jeep. Does it on every pump at Family Chevron, but the Jeep fills just fine at every other station in or out of town. Never had the problem filling it in Stockton or Lodi, or anywhere, just at Family Chevron in Valley Springs. I have no answer, neither does the dealer. Must be something they do at Fam Chevron. So, when the Jeep needs fuel, I just go to one of the other gas stations. We have a Shell and a 76 in Valley Springs real close to the Chevron. Usually, they're a little cheaper too. But I still fill my truck at Family Chevron since it's so close to my house. read more
