My favorite grocery store in Lodi. The meats and produce are always top quality. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have a great organic/natural foods selection. And love grabbing some Peets coffee in the morning. read more

There is nothing special about this supermarket. The prices are higher than other stores in town, and their deli and coffee station is slow and ran by a staff who seems to be in a constant state of confusion. I waited in like for 5 minutes as an older employee struggled to figure out how to work the cash register. My meal of chicken strips, mashed potatoes, gravy, and potato wedges was barely average. They had no ranch on site, so I had to eat my meal very dry. The dining area is small, and has a framed picture that said "Old Geezer's Club" hanging up, which made me feel unwelcome and out of place. To top it all off, they have no wifi, even though they offer Pete's Coffee. I much prefer Safeway's dining and coffee area, as they have a separate Starbucks booth, wifi, a large dining area, and a competent staff. read more

We ordered a Christmas Eve Bourbon Ham dinner last year 2 weeks prior to Christmas Eve. Paid in full at the time of the order. At noon we went to pick up the dinner and was told they ran out of citrus glazed carrots, so they gave us a bag of little carrots (raw). We were also given turkey gravy and cranberry relish extra. Everything was just thrown in the box. There were no containers for the gravy & relish they were in plastic bags. We should have asked for a refund right then but we had family comming over in a few hours. Got the box home and there were no instructions at all. It was suppose to be a spiral ham- it was an end cut with only two cut layers. Had to go on the website for insturctions on heating the ham and glaze. The turkey gravy and cranberry relish you could not eat. Greasy gravy and cranberry relish tasted terrible. What a waste of money. Expected better quality from Raley's. Made a comment on Raley's website and was told the manger would call us back. Guess what? It's been a year and still no call back. Poor, poor quality for the money. read more

What a shock to walk into Raley's after a couple of years. I have been in a few other Raley's lately that out 'whole foods' Whole Foods. I could not believe how run down and dirty our Lodi store is! I noticed because I haven't gone in for so long, I used to be a regular shopper. Much of the produce was in disarray and the floors were filthy. I was pretty shocked. read more

I lost my ATM card this week. I remembered having shopped at Raley's so it was one of the places I called to inquire if a card had been turned in. I talked to a woman named Shannon who checked the safe and let me know that my card was not there but to leave her my phone number and she would call me if it turned up. Later that day, Shannon called to let me know Raley's had my card. I'm writing this review to express my appreciation to her for taking that extra step to help me. I know how busy things can get and it just meant a lot. read more

We have shopped at this store off and on for approximately 1.5 years (as long as we've lived in Lodi). The customer service is always terrible- employees ignore me, don't offer to help, become annoyed when I ask them to bag groceries in my bags instead of paying for more bags. This time I rushed in to grab a quick dinner as it's late (around 7:00) and I worked late. The other grocery stores in town are mobbed at this time. Raley's is not typically too busy whether that's the price or the customer service or a mixture of both I don't know. There's one register open and the three of the self check are open. My husband and I are waiting in line, finally someone finishes. We start walking towards the register to be cut in front of by one of the employees. No regard, no apology, just didn't care. Who needs customers anyways? I spoke with the manager and she stared blankly at me, "She's on lunch". I'm sorry, I'm a customer, I come first. Especially when I've been standing here for over 5 minutes already and that employee was just ignoring me. No one opens another register, no one offers to help. And the manager just gives me this snotty look, like she doesn't understand (or care) about my problem. Point taken, I will not shop here again. She just turned her back and ran to help someone else (probably wants her business). I don't understand how you justify charging the most expensive prices in town for groceries and not backing it up with better customer service. Not shopping here again, I don't care how behind I am at dinnertime. I'll just get take-out. read more

The Raley's in Lodi is the best! I can't get over how many local products and wines they have; it's great. The staff is very welcoming and helpful if I cannot find a product. The remodel looks great and makes me want to go into Raley's even more. For me there is no reason to choose another place to shop or stand in long lines at Costco. read more

I was in the store yesterday and I just have to compliment the checkers. They are the kindest and the most heart warming people. My mom who was 97 just died and I was speaking to the checker Amy about her while she was checking out my groceries. She was checking so fast and looking and listening to me the whole time. I can tell she was a manager because that girl was multitasking like crazy all on top of giving me sweet advice and at the end of my order she just leaned over and asked if she can give me a hug. I never met this manager but that just made my day!!! Thank you so much and I hope she gets recognized for her kindness. read more

I have no idea what the goal was in the "remodel". I've been a customer here for a decade or more, and also at Raley's and Nob-Hill in Monterey area, Bay Area mid-peninsula and even Modesto. This store simply went from odd to worse with the huge wine area in the center, dairy now spread over 3 or 4 locations, not nearly enough expansion of meats, and as of March 2016 still very poor stocking and selection. A recent visit I left without at least 6 items on my list, empty spots on the shelf. Many prices in Produce are still missing. The bulk sesame seeds had lumps in them like cat litter, and that whole area was a mess. The checkout clerk was engaged in a casual conversation with another employee about hours, the bagger was wearing music ear buds and was also completely devoid of customer engagement. When I returned a spoiled item that person seemed equally as disinterested, as if it were normal. I simply don't get it, as ongoing experiences at other stores are still excellent, and I'm a generally upbeat and smiling customer. Yes the prices are higher than other markets, and for specialty goods that is fine for better quality. But I'm sorry to say this store is simply missing the mark on many levels, perhaps another stab at it from top to bottom is needed? Within walking distance for me, I choose now to go elsewhere whenever I can. read more

granted, the store and employees are great but this place is a rip off. only sale items are somewhat close in price to food 4 less. it's worth the gas though to drive to Winco. unbelieveable how much you can save. try it and i guarantee you will not be able to go back to raleys. my wife can't believe the difference in price among every item. read more
