So I had pre-ordered 5 continental breakfast (19.99 each) says in the description that it feeds 10 to 12 people. But when I pick them up they were very small platters each platter enough to feed maybe four people at most. Very disappointed they took one bear claw and cut it up into four pieces had maybe 3-4 leaves of grapes. 6-8 mini muffins and 3 croissants. The short: Because sometimes you want to be in a grocery store with more than 2 lanes open and will open more when a line forms. The long: Even though I don't get a lot from the big grocery stores when I have to go to one this would be the one I pick before the others. The store is usually well stocked and they have a wide range of items. The store is clean and it is pretty easy to find the things you need and get out. This particular store has a section that is dedicated specifically to the wines of Lodi which is nice if you want to have something local. I also like that they are on top of getting lines open when the lines to check out get even remotely long unlike other stores in town that almost always only have 2 lines open even if 50 people hop in line. My one complaint about this store is the produce section is real weak. For all the fresh produce grown around here and they have almost no selection and variety. What works: A nice, clean, and stocked grocery store What to improve: A wider variety in the produce section.. It is pretty lacking. read more

I went to Raley's on Monday to get a small cake for my co-workers b-day. They had so many and all of them looked good so I had a hard time deciding. I finally decided on a Tuxedo Cake and man am I glad I picked that one!!! That cake was sooo good! It's got chocolate frosting with layers of white cake & chocolate cake and then a layer of chocolate mousse & custard. We're finishing off the last of it right now. YUM!! I went in the morning so I got a chai tea from the Peet's Coffee stand that they have in the bakery section. Don't ever get chai tea from Peet's Coffee! I repeat...don't EVER get chai tea from Peet's Coffee! It was the nastiest, most disgusting tea I ever had and it was like molten lava so I didn't even realize it was nasty until I got to work and could drink it without searing off all of my taste buds. But I'm still not taking off any stars for that cuz the cake was so damn good!! And they have a huge selection of Lodi Wine. Always a plus for me since I try to support the local businesses as much as possible, including the wineries. I use that as my excuse for having an extra glass of wine with dinner. Before Stockton grocers knew it was important to their customers to have access to good organic whole foods I used to travel to Lodi (12-14 miles from home) to get my weekly produce. I always wondered how Lodi got a Raley's before Stockton did, guess I'll never know....maybe Raley's is a lil' snooty? Nah, that can't be it...they use market research for these kinds of decisions......don't they? Any way, it was kinda fun making my trek to Lodi to hunt down the weeks produce. At the time I was a single mom so, $$$ did count. I rarely added anything else to my cart due to the inflated prices. read more

Don't know what's going on here.went in to get bacon on sale 2.97lbs they only have one type on sale the guy tells me, ask why he tells me you get what you get ?? okay the sale ad says a variety hot & spicy , platter, he says you can for more money ?? so am going to Morada store instead and guess what, any bacon I want all at the same price no big deal and same-store ?? why ?? Lodi has a problem in meat department meat was not even marked on sale and the butchers have an attitude. the store always out of stock on sale items with no rainchecks blam COVID-19, but other stores don't have this problem. look Lodi has grown and the manager needs to get on the stick and do their job, get the inventory , train the people how about customer service?? read more

This is my favorite grocery store. Staff and management are so friendly. Not only do they give back to us with their wonderful personalities. They also give back to the community. My son attends Live Oak school. Raley's has been a big part of helping our school through donating. With their help(And they always help)We will be funding soccer goals and introducing after school sports. Thank you Raley's for supporting your community. What a nightmare!! Ill informed,slow,unfriendly, unhelpful and quite frankly-- lazy. Store is nice, and I shop there because it's around the corner, but the employees make the experience a drag! Customer service is NOT their priority....But they still are the most expensive grocery store in town?. I assume poor management... Going to stay at S-Mart from now on. I thought I would save myself some time and just order a Thanksgiving dinner. Our daughter had a baby 2 days ago and dinner is on the road to their house this year. I thought I was getting a little larger turkey with the only dinner they offered. They gave me a 10 pounder, saddest little thing I've ever seen. Wound up buying another turkey so we would have enough meat for Thanksgiving. So I'm cooking a turkey anyway now, and paid 69.99 for some sandwich meat, potatoes, broccoli and cranberries. Great store. But could be so much better if they added in a little customer service. The store itself is well designed and spacious with a great selection of products. Then you get up to the checkout and experience unhappy employees who don't know how to greet or smile the customer (unless they are in conversation amongst themselves). They all act like they are all so secure in their jobs that they don't have to worry or strive in anyway to keep them. I can't wait for Sprout's to open up. It's going to be a huge wake up call for these lackluster grocery stores who will then have no choice but to step it up. read more

Incredible selection of beer. I love beer, and this is my new favorite place to try out exotic (to me) new barley pops. There's always something on sale to try, and I often spend too much time in front of the glass cases, trying to figure out what I want. I'm surprised they haven't asked me to stop loitering. :*D The rest of the store is impeccable. The recent makeover is stunning, and the lighting makes everything look appealing. They have a salad bar that you buy by the pound, and while it's not cheap ($8 a pound), you know you're getting quality ingredients, and there's a ton of stuff from which to choose. Nice job, Raley's! See you tomorrow! Lol Edit: I've noticed from previous (older) reviews that several people have complained about long waits at the checkouts, but I haven't noticed this. Easy access, parking, good lighting, clean, good selection. Nice fresh food, bakery/deli, and alcohol sections. Main turnoff is lack of service. Usually a wait in line, they do not open another register with three or more in one line. Manager is sullen, no people skills, and it is reflected on the staff. My time is valuable. If I have a choice, I go elsewhere. read more

for two weeks, they have had no "original flavor" wheat thins or triscuits, and no lemonade lipton's tea. both of these are easily available on Amazon - makes you wonder if grocery-store shopping is soon going to be limited to perishables. read more

I dont know how its possible but the remodel has degraded the store. The specialty gluten free/health section is gone. 1/4 of the store is wine now and the hyped produce section seems smaller than before. Raleys...you're not a liqour store and bevmo or costco has you beat in prices. You are wasting a ton of space for no reason. read more

While the Butchers and Meat Department is excellent.. the service is lacking and is not a friendly, happy shopping experience.

I go to Raley's more than I'd like to admit! I love the deli, and i love the Sacratomato soup! I love the bulk Jelly Bellys, and their great organic, and health conscious food section. Lastly, i love that on the men's room door there is a no smoking sign that has the words "NO MAGAZINES" written under it in sharpie!!! Nuff said! read more

I used to like Raleys, now I don't. The weekly store specials are not what they used to be, and I especially don't like the new renovation they did to the store. They have all of their liquor showcased in the front of the store so when you walk in it feels like your at a liquor store. I have been shopping at Raley's for over 30 years and this store has changed a lot. The organic section, "GONE". All the organic products are mixed and incorporated into other regular items in the store. What were they thinking? Who ever is in charge of the store must have a screw loose. read more

What I love about this Raley's is the fact they have Peet's Coffee and two Red Boxes.

My sister purchased two cakes to pick up today and the person who took the order had the assumption it was the 28th. But no it's the 22nd it says it on the order form. I came and they said they don't have it done and it will take 30 minutes. I'm running late to the party. The cashier was real nice but the person who realized she didn't make the cake didn't even apologize. It's sad that Raleys is a big supermarket franchise and but this location has poor organization. Still a fan but disappointed that the rewards program for their Peet's coffee that I mentioned in my review is no more. They replaced it with something else. Now they're going to send me coupons to my Something Extra card. Which would be fine if not for the information I got from some employees is true. According to them, the new "rewards" program randomly sends you emails with offers rather than being based on the number of purchases you make. If that's true, Raley's truly fails to grasp the concept of a "rewards" card. A rewards card is supposed to give me an incentive to pick your place instead of a competitors. Before I would go to the Raley's Peet's Coffee in the morning but with this change, It'll be exclusively Starbucks. On the plus side, their WiFi seems to have improved since the last time I wrote about them. read more

Despite the high food prices due to inflation, climbing oil prices and over-zealous mark-ups, Raley's has the best quality products for a store in Lodi. In all honesty, If I wasn't so poor I'd shop here more often. I do get more bang for the buck at Walmart, but when I want higher end stuff and organicky type foods, I go here. Just look at their selections. You'd have to go to Whole Foods or Trader Joes in Stockton to get this kind of stuff. We ordered a Christmas Eve Bourbon Ham dinner last year 2 weeks prior to Christmas Eve. Paid in full at the time of the order. At noon we went to pick up the dinner and was told they ran out of citrus glazed carrots, so they gave us a bag of little carrots (raw). We were also given turkey gravy and cranberry relish extra. Everything was just thrown in the box. There were no containers for the gravy & relish they were in plastic bags. We should have asked for a refund right then but we had family comming over in a few hours. Got the box home and there were no instructions at all. It was suppose to be a spiral ham- it was an end cut with only two cut layers. Had to go on the website for insturctions on heating the ham and glaze. The turkey gravy and cranberry relish you could not eat. Greasy gravy and cranberry relish tasted terrible. What a waste of money. Expected better quality from Raley's. Made a comment on Raley's website and was told the manger would call us back. Guess what? It's been a year and still no call back. Poor, poor quality for the money. read more

There is nothing special about this supermarket. The prices are higher than other stores in town, and their deli and coffee station is slow and ran by a staff who seems to be in a constant state of confusion. I waited in like for 5 minutes as an older employee struggled to figure out how to work the cash register. My meal of chicken strips, mashed potatoes, gravy, and potato wedges was barely average. They had no ranch on site, so I had to eat my meal very dry. The dining area is small, and has a framed picture that said "Old Geezer's Club" hanging up, which made me feel unwelcome and out of place. To top it all off, they have no wifi, even though they offer Pete's Coffee. I much prefer Safeway's dining and coffee area, as they have a separate Starbucks booth, wifi, a large dining area, and a competent staff. read more
