Best gelato we have ever had! There's a very good reason why there's always a line. Not only was there a little bit of a weight, but they're also was a little bit of an attitude... We were happy to wait, as the gelato was delicious we made it there twice. read more

I stopped into Raki to cool off on a hot day with some gelato. The worker there was so rude to me I almost backed out and didn't end up purchasing anything but did anyway. Then while eating my gelato at the table I heard her be rude to every customer that walk in. I ended up having to take the rest to go because I couldn't stand to sit there and listen to the worker treat every customer so poorly. It sounds like the problem is offering samples. I'd recommend posting a sign that either says to pay first or the number of samples allowed. This might ease the confusion and worker frustration. read more

This was the tastiest gelato we had on our trip to Italy! I got chocolate hazelnut, pistachio, and an affogato. Every time we went everyone was kind, especially despite my lack of Italian. Even the long line moves quick and it's a fun experience to and great crowd! Clean, well lit and beautiful tiles! read more

Absolutely delicous Gelato in Sorrento. Pro tip is go mid day because the line at night is insanely long but after lunch time it was no wait at all. The Gelato is super creamy and they have a bunch of flavors and very reasonably priced (5 Euro for 2 flavors in a cone). Would recommend to anyone in Sorrento! read more

The lemon sorbetto was so delicious! I ordered the fig, basil, and walnut flavor. Separately, I tried the ricotta + walnut + honey flavor with chocolate. The fig and the chocolate flavors were too strong for a whole scoop. Anyway, the flavors were so tasty that I ate here 2 days in a row. read more

I had gelato in quite a few cities - from Rome to Florence to Milan. Raki goes head to head with the big cities!! I wish we had more time in Sorrento because I would've gladly tried all of Raki's flavors!! They're creative, inventive and the gelato is incredibly delish. We ended up ordering the lemon sorbet (in a lemon, ofc) and the Marscapone with pine nuts and caramel. Not too sweet and just incredibly luscious texture. It's a small space but they have a couple of tables/seats outside. Definitely worth a stop in Sorrento. read more

I liked the atmosphere and the location, so many variety, the only thing is, it's so sweet.

Lines are out the door for this gelato. Ingredients are pure and authentic. Many unique flavors. I'm a pistachio aficionado and this one was good but not over the top. Other flavors were good but could have been slightly sweeter. Still a "should try" spot. read more

Husband and I just happened to walk into this place because I saw the signs outside which said that their gelato and such had 30% less sugar than the classic gelatarias. Dark Chocolate Sorbet + Mascarpone with Pine Nuts and Caramel is what we got. Such a wonderful combination. The dark chocolate was actually rich and then the milkiness of Mascarpone flavor was the perfect pair. Mascarpone with Pine Nuts and Caramel on its own was amazing as well. Totally recommend! read more

After an amazing first visit, we visited again the next evening. The quality of their gelato is second to none and the place looks really cool, but I had an experience that turned me off to this location permanently. I placed an order and they made it wrong. I was clear in my instructions and everyone confirmed they heard me say it clearly. However, I was told they wouldn't fix the mistake. Seriously - you make the wrong order and you have no remorse or desire to make things right? This place does well and they literally can't spare the re-make of one gelato when I placed three other orders on this evening and four the previous evening - with a non-stop line before and after us? At a minimum, I recommend skipping this location and going to a different location as no place that makes something wrong and refuses to fix it should be patronized by more business. read more

Recommended by the locals (sorry, Yelp) - this place is tiny but fierce. Maybe a dozen flavors, no frills, wasted space or nonsense. Each of us got something different and we all agreed it was pretty darn incredible. (Walking around town we noticed they had another location just a block or so away we swore to try the following night but never did get there.) read more

If you see a shop with big mounds of shiny, bright colored gelato, it's mid gelato. You might still enjoy it on a hot day, but it's still mid level. Big mounds, mean the temperature isn't closely regulated. Shiny means there's too much sugar. And the bright colors say it's full of artificial coloring. A lid on the metal container keeps the gelato completely hidden but says a lot. It means that the gelato is being carefully kept at the right temperature. High quality gelato is made with all-natural, seasonal ingredients and little to no artificial coloring. Because of this, the gelato will never be vibrant. It'll be rather dull looking. Pistachio should never be a true green. It'll be brownish. Berry flavors should be deep, muted reds and never bright pinks, and lemon should be white rather than yellow. Rika is all of these things. Covered metal containers, dull colors, and dull (non shiny) looking gelato. It's perfectly sweet, but not overly. And the flavors are intense. It's truly perfect and real artisanal gelato. read more

Gelato was delicious! Wish they had a pistachio flavor but maybe they were out when we were there. Prices were reasonable. Ask for whip cream topping. It adds a special touch just and flavor. I finally got to try some real, authentic gelato from Italy. The place I tried in Sorrento, Italy, is the best I've ever had. I'm pretty sure it's because of the different types of ingredients they use compared to the ingredients they use back home. The woman who served us was very nice. The place is really small inside, but it's a great place to get your gelato and then go shopping at the various stores on the long strip. read more

Delicious gelato, so many flavors, I would have loved to tried more samples but long line waiting.

Board outside of store listing all available flavors. There is a line, so gelato must be good here. There is a menu board of gelato flavors inside as well. Once you walk in, you pay for how many scoops with a cup or cone. Then you get receipt and hand it to person who will scoop the desired gelato. OMG!!! The Pineapple Basil is to die for. Got this gelato because every other gelato place I been to does not have this flavor. Of course, must have a scoop of Pistachio too. Store is well lit. All the gelatos are in metal containers, not like other gelato places that you see the variety of flavors listed. Will be back again to get the Pineapple Basil gelato as well as try other flavors you do not find at most gelato store. read more

Five stars! Raki gelato is so good. Same price for a cup as a cone, and small to large sizes. We'd been told to look for gelato in the metal tins in Italy as those are almost always indicators of more fresh gelato. Raki confirmed this. The tiramisu was very good. Can't recommend the cookies and milk (was not like cookies n cream in the US). read more

Best gelato in town. Cute shop. Good prices. Unfortunately, one of the employees gave an absolutely rotten attitude over a simple question, and it left us not wanting to return. It's good, but it's not good enough to be scowled at by a homely woman serving gelato. read more

This store was highly recommended by the locals. Personally I felt the gelato was a bit soft and melted quickly (even before I stepped out of the store). The store associate wasn't too friendly either. Flavor wise it was delicious but so were many other gelaterias in the area. It doesn't make sense to allow me to try only one flavor either. At minimum it should be two flavors. read more

Such good Gelato. We were staying very close to this Raki and were suggested by a few people to visit it. Line went out the door but wait was quick. Food: 5 Stars Service: 5 Stars I just happened to book an AirBnB RIGHT NEXT to this amazing freaking place. I can't even count how many times we visited or tell you how much gelato we consumed during our stay in Sorrento. What I can tell you, is that this was some of the best gelato we have had during our trip to Italy. It's not surprising that Rick Steves mentioned this place as the gelato is creamy and smooth, and if you order anything fruity those flavors will blow your freaking mind. Melon was my ultimate favorite and I was so bummed when it was time for us to move to our next city. So what makes Raki so special? They make their gelato in small batches with the freshest ingredients. The result? The most incredible treat you'll shove in your mouth. Dear Raki- Please open up a shop in the States. Raki's came with a very high review, so we knew we had to try it out! It is a small shop on one of the main shopping streets. I got Milk and Cookies and Tiramisu. The gelato was extremely creamy and fresh. It was stored in tins, which they say means it is more quality. I was a bit disappointed with the actual flavors of the gelato. I did not really like the Milk and Cookies. It did not have too much flavor. The tiramisu was better, but still a bit disappointing. The cone was fresh and delicious though!
