I went into David Gelateria in Sorrento and honestly, it is the best gelato I've ever had. Mario…read more"David" has very creative recipes the selection is fresh everyday with more than 30 flavors to choose from. The fruit flavors are seasonal as they only use the freshest fruits in season. If you have food sensitivities there are tons to choose from without gluten or milk or nuts. Today I joined their gelato-making class with an epicurean tour group, and afterward we all got to taste their creations. The sorbetto al limone was bright, zesty, and incredibly refreshing -- pure sunshine. The mango was silky and bursting with tropical flavor. The coconut sorbetto was rich and creamy, like a tropical vacation in every delectable spoonful. The service is friendly, the vibe is fun ! My friend let me taste his gelato and it was the absolute star the Crocante Amarena. Dark, juicy cherries folded into velvety gelato, studded with crunchy almond pieces and ribbons of intense dark chocolate. The balance of flavors and textures is pure perfection. Everything was super creamy, intensely flavorful, and clearly made with passion and top-quality ingredients. If you're in Sorrento, do yourself a favor and come here. David Gelateria isn't just a gelateria -- it's a little piece of heaven. It is was started by his grandfather in 1957. The place is adorable, restroom is clean. Highly, highly recommended!

It tasted natural, no artificial taste at all. My husband had cheesecake flavor, which was also delicious. It was a beautiful day to sit at one of their outside tables and enjoy their gelato. The woman who waited on me was very nice.

AVOID AVOID AVOID or get ripped off. Decided to buy 2 small cream pistachio cakes displayed in the…read moresmall glass case out the front of the store. I also picked up a small can of coke and a small bag of potato chips. The cakes are packaged up for us to take away. I used a card to pay and it was €36 but I was not shown the price on the machine. The woman just pushed a number and held it high over the counter so I couldnt read the amount. I speak some italian and thought I must not have heard her correctly when she mumbled the price. When i got back to our hotel i checked the receipt as I thought surely I must have heard wrong. Nope, blatant rip off! The receipt was in the bottom of the bag so found she rang up everything as pastries so it covers up what she actually charges for. But, studying the receipt it must have included the small can of coke for €5! The cakes cost €25 plus another €5 on the bill and extra €1 - so 2 small eclair type of pastry cost €12.50 each! The chips must have also been €5. Chips, small pack cost .70c in the supermarket. Coke she charged me €5 for is those small skinny cans, 0.79c in the supermarket. Assume she must have charged me €1 for the bag the cakes were in. In the 6 weeks we have been travelling all over Italy this is the worst rip off ever! The cakes were ok, not the best we have had but ok. Its the blatant tourist rip off I cannot believe. Before I wrote this review I saw others hsve experienced this rip off as well. How to kill a business, blatant rip off of the customers. Shame on you Pollio!

We entered and it was beautiful from the beginning. We walked to the Lemon garden and it continued to be beautiful until the end. After that, we started to browse around to see what was for sale. The Gelateria section caught my eyes first. I got gelato in the 2,80€ cup and chose Limone for the flavor. There was a Limoncello Free Tasting offered, so I almost had to do that. It had a crisp and refreshing flavor to it. I loved it. I purchased a Limoncello cl 10 e bottle for 6,00€. I got a Magnete embossed Sorrento for 4,00€. It matched the vibe. We sat down at a table to relax. The gelato had a perfect temperature and it tasted fantastic. We took the Limoncello bottle with us and enjoyed it later. It was just as good as the Tasting. The Toilette was free to use, so that was great. It was clean. The service was great. I didn't have any issues. Overall, I had an amazing time. The views were beautiful and everything I got was reasonably priced. I would definitely go again. Date of visit: 25-03-2025

This place is incredible and I only wish we could have spent more time here…read more We ended up coming later in the evening, after dinner, to have either some desserts or limoncello as a digestif. This meant that the back groves were not open to us and we could not see any of the limoncello making. This was ok though because we were able to sit at tables amongst the lemon trees while we sipped on our drinks and ate our sorbets. The person working the counter was alone and slightly busy but we struck up a fun conversation with him (my husband is literally the most friendly person and he and the guy started talking nerd talk) and he came and found us in the grove later to give us a whole tray of samples. The alcohol here is super tasty and you can tell they put a lot of love into it. I bought three bottles and didn't take packing super seriously and lost one in my checked baggage. I almost cried but it was just the limoncello, not the mandarin or the loquat so it was ok. LOL! I wanted to buy it all but those three flavors were my faves, followed very closely by the licorice flavor.
