My go-to gelato shop while I lived in Sorrento. I was here from January - June and the shop opened up a bit early for the "Tourist season" -- maybe in march or so?
They offered a ton of flavors, always looking incredibly beautiful, and for a good price! I personally LOVED this shop, and skipped the more touristy (and overpriced) shop down the street. There are tons of gelato shops in Sorrento and along (and tucked behind) corso Italia, so why did I choose Dolce & Gelato?
1 - Tony - He was so friendly, nice, and allowed me to work on my Italian skills (un cono medio con pistacchio, per favore!)
2 - The array of flavors (and how beautiful they always looked!)
3 - They also have a ton of other stuff in the shop - sweets and what not that you can get if you're not in the mood for gelato (but...who is ever not in the mood for gelato while in Italy?)
4 - The convenient location. I would stop here on my way home from school or the beach and eat my cone of pistachio gelato on the way!
If you happen to stop by during the tourist season and the bright white and blue store front of Dolce & Gelato is open, do yourself a favor and stop in for a sweet treat! read more
