Dr. Nadimpalli gets to the point. She definitely has a sense of humor but she is also serious about health, so I can see why some people may be taken aback. I think she is very smart, and has seen many patients, she can build her own statistical analysis. I'm not sure I would take everything she says personally -- but that is a good thing, because she is drawing from a wealth of experience. I've been a patient of Dr. Nadimpalli's for about 3 1/2 years and there are so many qualities to love about her. She is a very thorough doctor. She has compassion and truly loves her job. What I have noticed about her as a physician is that she has really full days and tries to accommodate all her patients to the best of her ability. Let's remember that Dr. Nadimpalli is a internal medicine doctor, not an OB/GYN so at times she's giving patients news about having cancer, tumors, or giving them a definitive expiration on their lives. Understandably, she is supposed to be prepared for that, but guess what? She's human...GASP! And we expect our physicians to have emotions, the ability to connect with us and have empathy, thus we need to also understand that they may have just walked out of a room telling someone the worst news they any one person could possibly ever give. So we expect her to turn all emotion off, just like that? Hmm...not sure it works that way. Anyway, my experience with her has been 94% positive. I'm not always a fan of the nurses or their liberal ideology on popping medication for an ailment for a few weeks, but other than that...she's as good as comparison can get with my BCBS HMO! read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Nadimpalli for over 14 years. She is always kind and listens, even when in a hurry. If she is booked and I am in for a specific ailment, she gets right to it, but I never feel she is not paying attention to me or what I am feeling. During my annual exam, she is always willing to take time and listen to any questions I may have. She has known me a long time and as I get older and have more questions, I love that she is ready to listen. She even loved my new toenail polish this last time. I will continue to see her as long she is practicing. Yes, the nurses and the woman at the front desk can some times be cold, but over the years, I know how to take that in stride to see a wonderful Doctor. read more

This doctor practically drove me to tears. I went in thinking I felt a lump in my boob (already scary enough) and she was in such a rush with things. After I told her why I was there, she impatiently sighed and said in aggravation "I'm booked solid today!" as though I was an annoyance. Then she hurriedly did an exam and said I was fine. Strangely, she also seemed annoyed that I had waited so long to come in after having my symptoms and told me that I should have come in right away and that they always have time to fit me in for something like that - despite the fact that her attitude was incredibly contradictory. I understand doctors can have bad days too but come on! Try to be a little discreet about it when people's concerns about their health are in your hands. NOT cool. I've been a patient of Dr. Nadimpalli for close to 15 years now. When I first became her patient, it was due to a sudden onset infection, and she handled it beautifully, and got me into the hospital. She's very no-nonsense, and for my personality (independent and strong-willed) she is a good fit. I want info first, hand-holding second. She is sympathetic, but also practical and pragmatic. I've been able to count on her in an emergency, and also for the routine checkups and minor ailments. I have been going to Dr. Nadimpalli for the past 5 years. She is a straight-forward and thorough doctor, which I like. She isn't afraid to ask the tough questions, but asks them in a way that doesn't offend. I generally am able to get in to see Dr. Nadimpalli within a week of calling and on occasions that are emergencies (extreme back pain), she was able to move appointments around to get me in the next day. I agree with other reviews in regards to some of the nurses. Some of them can be "crabby," while others are very nice and genuine. I went to see Dr. Nadimpalli earlier this week. A friend had recommended another doctor in that facility to me, but she didn't have any appointments available until late June. I didn't want to wait that long so they scheduled me with Dr. Nadimpalli. I had been a bad girl and had not gone to the doctor in several years. I'm very wary of doctors and absolutely dread the thought of going to one. But as soon as Dr. Nadimpalli walked in and started chatting with me, I felt more at ease. I told her that I hadn't been to the doctor in several years. She gave me a bit of a disapproving look, but I deserved it. She was really very sweet and considerate throughout my appointment. She went over my medical history with me and seemed genuinely concerned about my overall health and well-being. I appreciated the fact that she talked to me for quite a while before asking me to get into those lovely stirrups. Getting your female parts checked out is anything but pleasant, but Dr. Nadimpalli made me feel very comfortable. And it was over before I knew it. I have gone to Dr. Nadimpalli for about 10 years, both when I had insurance and the last several years when I have not. I have a condition which requires continual medication, and she has always taken the time to make sure I have what I need. She can be very to-the-point, but it is always from a caring and empathetic place. I have seen her on occasion at the store where I work part-time, and she has been very warm and genuinely kind to me. I'm not keen on one of the nurses who manage prescription refills (Tally is helpful and nice, the other the opposite) but I refer people to Dr. Nadimpalli because she is knowledgable, empathetic and caring. But she is also gentle and understanding with a good sense of humor (when she is not running behind in her schedule!). She has never steered me wrong. I understand the one-star review below, as, when I had two weird moles develop on my arm, she signed and said, "those are benign and the least of your problems" and then went on to tell me what my problems were. short version doesn't spend time with you doesn't listen to you doesn't know the answer to anything doesn't care to solve a deeper problem tells you which over the counter medication to buy part of a poor medical center medical center has incompetent people working in billing you're simply a number and a paycheck I'm only giving a 1 star because I can't rate less. I had to go to her for ear trouble when my doctor wasn't available. She did the basic check your ears thing before I told her that my problem was in fact my ears. She then said oh let me look again. She ooooed and ahhhhed and said yeah lots of wax. Since I had been there several times for a reoccurring issue I was looking for a deeper explanation and instead told me to get some over the counter product. I said the issue is that they itch and i stick my finger in there and then it gets infected. How do I stop the itching? I also mentioned my other doctor thought it could eczema. She then proceeded to agree with everything I said and attribute completely random questions I had to the eczema. I said, while I'm here I wanted to inquire about my hair thinning at the front of my hair line (i'm a female so this is distressing) and she said "it's the eczema." She started to walk out telling me to get cortizone cream and debrox (wax removal) & I asked her to check out a bump on my leg that I've had for years and she said "I'm really busy I have to go." I was literally following her out the door to try to get to the root of my problems instead of slapping a bandaid on them and when I asked "well I've never been diagnosed with eczema how did I get it and what do I do now she said?" she said, "we don't really know what causes eczema. use lotion." I have no answers how to get my ears to stop itching so i stop scratching them. i have no idea why i constantly look in the mirror and debate whether my hair is thinning (I'm 27 years old). I have no idea if I even actually have eczema. I paid $20 and got nothing. I feel so defeated. We can only rely on doctors to give us health advice because the majority of us only have common sense knowledge and when doctor's receive $200 (some from insurance some from us) for a visit, they not only owe us a minute of their time and their expertise, but they should WANT to do that since they took an oath to do so. Furthermore, I have found that my actual primary care physician is only slightly better. She spends time with you... enough to prescribe you medication order a blood test and get out. Finally, their billing department sends you from specialized billing to specialized billing & no on has answers. I don't like Advocate Illinois Masonic. Go elsewhere! read more

I have been seeing Dr. Nadimpalli for almost a year now. I found her when I tried to make an appointment with another doctor. My first impression of her was fantastic. She sat and listened to my long list of concerns and questions. She is a strong characted, I got a taste of that immediately (I was one of those who hadn't seen a doctor in a loooong time), but I was reassured by her knowledge and concern for me. She was thorough and wasted no time in making sure I was in tip top shape. She even addressed a thing or two that she noticed that I neglected to point out and took care of those too. I have been back to see her once since and again she was fantastic. She even called me on a Saturday to give me some blood test results. I am looking forward to seeing her again because I know that she will take good care of me. I highly recommend her. Most doctors I have seen are in such a rush to get over you that they're out the door before you finish talking, but she is not like that. I can understand that someone may have caught her on a really bad day but I can deal with the "attitude" so long as I know I am being taken care of. She is definitely worth a second chance...we all have bad days. read more
