If I could give 0 stars I would, this place is extremely unprofessional and run by children, they serve old like warm chicken that's been sitting out for hours and refuse to make fresh food for customers by lying and telling you everything is frozen because they are EXTREMELY lazy, also Extremely unsanitary, I watched the cook with no gloves on digging in his pants and playing pocket pool, scratching his ass and then continuing to handle food in the back room. A southern fried chicken and fried fish place INSIDE a 7-11. Hmm. I am IN. Ever since Popeye's stopped serving dirty rice, catfish, and jumbo fried shrimps, I've been wishing for a fast serve spot to take over the reins on these items. Well, Raise the Roost is it as it serves up delicious, crispy chicken and fried fish. Plus unique desserts like Cinnamon Pie (not for me, though). There are bone-in wings (yum), tenders, sandwiches, did I mention fish filet? (ha!). I only wish that the Nashville Hot variety is a regular menu item instead of a chicken sandwich special. Go, get your gas, grab your convenience store stuff, and while you're at it, grab your share of a Southern meal. Don't expect 5-star service, though. This place needs more reviews! The chicken tastes better than KFC and the Mac and Cheese is fire! They also have yummy potato logs and scrumptious fried Apple Pies. The Apple Pies are far better than McDonald's. I would even suggest that they might be the best around. They even have Cherry Pies. I can't think of anybody else that has Cherry Pies. read more

I ordered via Grubhub and got a call 10 minutes later from the store that they were closed. I didn't realize that, and apologized and told them to cancel the order. I checked and they were open for another 20 minutes when the order was placed, so maybe they need to just change when Grubhub is taking orders to accommodate that? Do they turn people away at the counter, too? And don't call me like it's my problem, just cancel the order through the app. Goes along with the rest of the comments here that the customer service is bad. read more

I guess having restaurants inside of gas stations is a thing now, and seems to be the trend with every new gas station/convenience store combo opening up in the area. After weeks of driving past, I finally had the time to stop in and give this place a try. Inside the building was spacious and clean, there were many food, drink, and snack options in addition to a dedicated fast food chicken counter. On this particular day they were out of everything except chicken tenders so I ordered a 3 piece meal which came with a biscuit and a side. I asked the person taking my order what their favorite side was and she responded with "I don't eat anything except the fries" but the person cooking the food in the back chimed in and very excitedly told me about his favorites and made some recommendations so, based on his suggestion, I went with the mac and cheese. After taking my order, I was handed a slip and told to bring it to the cashier of the gas station to be rung out and then went back to the other counter to pick up my order. I was disappointed that they were also out of their "homemade ranch" dipping sauce but was offered other options so I went with the BBQ sauce instead. The chicken was tasty and well seasoned, it had some heat to it which was a nice surprise. The mac and cheese was okay but the biscuit was the best thing in the box; flaky, buttery, and lip-smacking good. I went here yesterday to try out the chicken. Upon walking in I notice that the establishment is located inside of a 7-Eleven store. Everything was neat and clean and I walked up to the counter and placed my order. I ordered just a few pieces of chicken to try it out. The biscuits were good. The only thing that was not as good were the quality of the french fries. They were OK and edible but could've been done better. Overall, my entire meal was good. my only complaint would be that the service could have been better. My order took an incredibly long time to come out and there are a lot of people working, so I just don't understand how it takes so long to get a small order out to a customer. Otherwise than that everything was good. The servers were very friendly, but they could have gotten food out a little faster in my opinion. read more

I never would've thought I'd find great tasting fresh fried chicken at a 7-11. This restaurant is inside the store frying up chicken, baking biscuits, and making gravy. Chicken isn't greasy and it's all white meat tenders in the sandwiches. Biscuits are light and buttery. They also have several sides to choose from like creamy Mac and cheese, coleslaw, fries, and mashed potatoes. The huge salads filled with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese, bacon and Roost chicken pieces, is my favorite. You can buy pre-made sandwiches in the hot case or ask for yours to be made. There are tables near the front of the store to sit and eat, that have charging ports for your phone. They also are on DoorDash for delivery. The service during lunch rush can take a bit longer. Lots of clueless employees. At Roost and 7-11 itself. Couldn't refund me back to my debit for items they didn't have, one employee kept saying yes it comes with that and other saying no it doesn't. The first time we went they forgot our biscuits and one side. No biggie, it was their first day. Today they forgot all the chicken!!!! We get home with a big bag of food and NONE of the 8 piece family meal. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. That's like $20 down the drain.
