Although we didn't stay at the hotel, we went to The Springs Resort everyday we were in town. An afternoon soak was just what our muscles needed after spending the day on the slopes. We relaxed, shared stories and laughs while sipping tasty wellness drinks ("shroom shrubs") and cocktails in the healing hot springs. The outstanding service really elevated our experience. Our server, Matthew was exceedingly friendly and attentive. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed--including food and drink, took a few group photos, and even let gave us tips as to what springs were best for watching the sunset. Our server Micaela was also excellent, joking with us and making us feel spoiled! I would recommend visiting The Springs in Pagosa to anyone! It was a wonderful way to unwind & catch up, in the relaxing springs while surrounded by beautiful nature! #goodvibes #warmestregards #thesprings

Savannah at front desk is rude and probably thinks it's her house. She knows what happened. Not very sure on returning but the soak was great. Employees are obviously with a toxic management since you can see them not courteous and acknowledging. Will probably not come back as it is overpriced for a quality of 50%. $1000 for a 2 day is robbing you blind with a very low quality room and service.

He showed me to my room which I thought was cute and cozy...and I settled right in. (thank goodness for air conditioning). Please be aware that you will have to carry your own items up to the 2nd floor, there is no elevator. Otherwise, it was quiet and charming. I am a sucker for historical buildings and this one did not disappoint! While loading up my car the outside door lock's battery died and I couldn't get back in the building to get the rest of my things, but as soon as I reported it, they fixed it. Very quick responses from everyone who works there! All in all, I will be back!

At first we were pleased with the accommodative nature of Teagan one of the husband wife team that manages the hotel. Upon arrival we called to check in as the hotel no longer has a lobby as it was leased to a restaurant. Essentially your check in begins in the parking lot when Paul brought out our invoice and was going to show us around. When Paul saw our dog, Paul informed us to be careful in the back part of the hotel area as there were neighborhood dogs that roamed around and could be dangerous. We were escorted up some outdoor steps to the door on the second floor to the hallway where most of the rooms are. Later that afternoon, my sister and her husband arrived to also check in. Upon opening the door to our room, I noticed a larger dog inside the hall that I was not familiar with ( Paul's dog) and our dog came out of our room and was approached by the larger dog "Luna". Our dog went to the door and was followed by Paul's dog after Paul attempted to block his dog and almost immediately attacked our dog and would not let go of her as she tried to escape his grip and constant biting. My wife had already started to try to get our dog loose and had fallen under a nearby table. I was able to pull her out of the way and eventually pull our dog loose from Paul's dog. The result was my wife received several dog bites that I believe came mostly from Paul's dog and our dog was bitten numerous times on the back of her neck area. While Paul checked while we were cleaning the blood from my wife's and our dog's wounds, not once during the remaining time we were there did Paul reach out to see how we were doing. I did see Teagan the following day and while she did not bring up the incident, I did bring it up and she said she was sorry. Little did I know that Paul's warning about neighborhood dogs should have included his own dog. We attended our funeral services and returned home to obtain medical treatment for both my wife and our dog. This was one disgusting experience and obviously will never ever use this hotel, which may not matter as the hotel was recently put up for sale.

It is right on the river and the facilities are Clean and in great shape. Our cabin had a porch with a BBQ grill and picnic table that we used every night. They have a great lake for fishing on the premises where we caught several rainbows when not out on the river. Bring food and supplies because it is far from town. This is the type of place anyone would like to make a destination for an annual family vacation.

There are no TV'S in the cabins but plenty to do to keep you busy all day. They have a nice pool that is nestled in the woods with a nice relaxing view. The fishing pond is stocked, it's a fishing pond not a catching pond. Even though it's stocked you still need to fish for them. Very nice size of fish too! If you want to head into town the train is a nice ride into Colorado for a nice lunch. Will I go back? Yes of course this place is not easy to reserve either so if you get it, take it and have fun!
