Steve from Timberline Landscaping is the best in the Detroit landscaping game!!! My husband and I…read morepurchased a new construction home in Grosse Pointe with zero plants or landscaping, and Tim has transformed our yard spaces in the best way possible. Tim helped me with various design options and offered plant and design recommendations without ever being pushy. He is all about customizing your spaces based off sunlight, wind, etc to make your plants thrive and last forever. Steve is very reliable, professional, helpful, and his prices are extremely fair for the very high quality of work he delivers. He provides excellent communication and honesty throughout the entire consultation and planting process. We managed the entire design process through text messages, pictures and drawings which was extremely convenient for a working professional. I could not recommend Steve enough for your landscaping, snow removal, fall cleanup, or other yard cleanup projects. If I could give him 6 stars, I would!

It is actually astonishing. That's a side note. The real news here is the professionalism of Timberline Landscaping and their quick, complete response and quote. From initially contacting Steve and his team, they immediately wrote me back, were able to provide a price quote via email with pictures we sent and then came out for an on-site visit to confirm everything and make sure that we were 100% clear on expectations, timing and the suggestions that they made for our backyard. The workmanship was done exactly as agreed to and in a professional way. They left our backyard looking exactly as we'd hoped and cleaned up and left our home and surroundings in great condition. As another reviewer alluded to, small things come up. Changes, clarifications, to a job when you're in the middle of it. Steve and his team were quick to react, communicated very well, and never asked for more money. We couldn't be happier with our decision to work with Timberline. There are tons of landscaping companies out there. Very few, if any, have the professionalism and quality of response, fair price, and great communication than Timberline. Thanks to the Timberline team for everything!

I came to post an edit to an old review and no longer can find any for 3c's?…read more Parents used this company for eons. They are pricey, but overall good. They're all over gp and my friend got a quote from them in the Bloomfield area so they seem to cover a lot of area. I think she said she talked to a Christopher and he sounded busy and next 2 times she called he was out of town, she ended up going elsewhere. Growing up we always had Darrel visiting and he was the most helpful guy. He really knew his stuff and went the extra mile for customers if there was a problem, always super helpful even if they couldnt get through at the office, he answered and seemed to like his job. Vern did the best christmas lights! Hope hes still around... honestly the best. A girl Jenna? Jen? Did them once when he wasnt available and they were sloppy. The secretaries never seemed to know much. The younger current guys always seem rushed and unhappy and the lawn crew has been off their game the past couple years and they always make a mess. My parents said they recently have had nice guys come by... a middle eastern/Lebanese? guy and a bearded guy who are great... not sure on their names. Not service like they used to have. I think managment my have switched?? Now that im married we dont utilize a Landscaping service but I'd definitely think of hiring them of Darrel was still working a crew! EDITED 1/2017

I asked them to look at it and the guy said well we did just cut down a tree right over your house and went and saw it. I had already cleaned off all the other branches that were on the roof. I cleaned off a bunch of branches so obviously he was not watching that well cuz alot of stuff fell on the roof. I fixed the problem myself and have continued using them because of their competence and price. They should have replaced the shingle and even the hole in the plywood. I called around to…read moreseveral different places but the Tree Pros were the only people that one, called me back and two, gave me a fair price. I submitted a request online, talked to them shortly after, and he actually stopped by my house, while I was at work, about an hour later and gave me the final quote of $100 for the removal of the four small stumps. I was in communication with the same guy via text message for several days, I think his name was Mike. We went back and forth for a while but I couldn't get him to lock down a date. I told him several times that I was hosting a party at my house on Friday so he needed to come before then or after. He finally told me I was on the schedule for Monday. Friday afternoon I get home from work about 3:30pm and the tree stump removal guy was at my house. I was very confused and unimpressed with the communication amongst the people who are all supposed to be working together. I ran outside and told the guy I was on the schedule for Monday and he said, "Ok, well I'm here now why can't I just do it now?" That is the right answer. He assured me that it would only take 10 minutes and he wouldn't leave behind any mess. I agreed and asked him who I was supposed to pay, he said I was supposed to pay the guy who took the tress down (that was me) and then asked me how much I agreed to pay (I could have made up any number) so I wrote him a check.
