I didn't actually buy anything that day because of limited suitcase space, but kept my eyes peeled when I got home. Shopping isn't really a pleasurable activity for me, but occasionally my professional life requires me to update my wardrobe and I make a pilgrimage to an outlet mall (I'm kinda cheap too). Oh happy day when I found Torrid right here in Texas City, just across the street from Buc-ee's, y'all! I'm an in-between, technically not plus-sized, but definitely not skinny either, so seeing that they start at 10 means I don't have to sift through all the supermodel sizes to find the Marilyn Monroe size-range... I also have "sturdy" ankles and calves, so not having to size up in the foot to get boots or strappy shoes to fit without them gouging into my ankle flesh makes me extraordinarily happy! Styles range from vintage to retro, trendy to classic, edgy to laid-back. They have swimwear with cool vintage cuts, sweaters with hearts and skulls, party dresses, jeans, undergarments, Disney character clothing, printed leggings, fishnet stockings, accessories.... It's really all over the place, which also makes it a lot of fun to browse... The staff are really friendly and helpful, and their clearance deals are amazing (buy 1, get 2 pairs of shoes free? Yes, PLEASE!). They also have a free loyalty program if you like birthday discounts and such, so you might as well sign up for that while you're there. Then, just strut your stuff in your awesome new duds!!

Web orders always mess up and are never right. Constantly covered in dust and hangers are always everywhere. Racks of clothing are left around the middle of the store, empty boxes, plastic wrapping from new freight everywhere, and it always seems that the store manager has "something to do in the back" for hours at a time. Sorry but Pearland is much better and organized. The management in Texas city is just poor.

So, I decided to give it a shot. I must admit it sounded wayyy too good to be true. She also told us that she could make my fiancé's suit. At that very 1st visit she took our measurements. We left not knowing exactly we were going to get, even kind of nervous. But hopeful at the same time. She was very quick, and we went in for our 1st fitting. My fiancé's jacket and vest looked great, and fit him just about perfectly at the 1st fitting. I must admit I wasn't happy with my dress at all... here's where I went into freak out mode. Yani pretty much told me to trust the process. Since I had never had a custom dress made... i did not trust the process at all. When I came back for the next fitting, I can tell you that all my stress was for nothing. The dress was almost perfect. I was like... YES! This is so much better. By my last fitting the dress was perfect. Absolutely perfect! This past weekend was our wedding. I got so many complements on my dress. It fit perfectly. You can tell it was made just for me. I am very short and it didn't drag the ground at all. At the end of the night, I didn't even want to take it off. I want to wear it again. I'm said that it was just for that occasion. I saw the cutest vintage-looking, navy blue dress and I knew I had to have it! I didn't try it on, even though the sales lady trusted me to try it on in the public restroom. I did not, however, I went to the store the following weekend to try my luck on its availability. Surprisingly, they still had ONE MORE in MY size! Then, this weekend, I came back because I eyed the plaid shirt jacket from the FB video. OMG, I had to have that one too! It turned out that all the "new" items were at the vendor booth at Pearland Town Center Winter Market so the cashier offered to call the lady at the booth and asked to hold the jacket for me. When I got there, like an hour later, they still had it waiting for me. Great customer service!! The store has the cutest stuff and the best part is that they keep their website up to date so you can always check on availability. I'm definitely going to be a regular here.

One associate told us to look through it to find our size. We looked for just a few seconds and I told my niece that this is not acceptable. It would have been better for help. When my niece checked out associate told her she had a $10 reward, it didn't go through and associate just said "we can't use it". It would have been nice to explain it. My nice was looking for a bra and no associate came to help, it took us about 20 minutes to find her size. Customer service needs to be improved.

Two women were working and very busy taking merchandizing photos, and did not greet us. We were 2 of 4 customers in the store. No one of received any attention, or service. I tracked them down and asked to be fitted. Clearly, I was an annoyance to them. She took us to the front desk and measured us and left. We knew exactly what bra we wanted. We went searching for it and could not find our size. By then my friend was already ready to leave. I went again asking for assistance in finding our size and style. Again was made to feel like a terrible inconvenience to them. She could not find our sizes, went to the back and found the closest thing. By then we were done and walked out. I get that you are probably tired. I work retail and I understand you have stressful days, but give all of your customer the same respect. Don't just chose who you want to help. I'm always looking out for a nice pair of running shoes, so I looked at all of their athletic shoes. You'd seriously get a better deal going to the Nike outlet or the Reebok outlet than getting Nike or Reebok sneakers here. And the clearance section is a joke. The prices on clearance sneakers were super expensive! I think their cheapest "clearance" sneakers were $60 (the ones in my size anyway, and there's hardly ever any size 6 athletic shoes in any clearance sections anywhere). Yikes! I really don't see any difference between this "outlet" store and one of the regular FF stores. I'm not wasting my time here anymore. I'm just going to browse for shoes at the brand outlets from now on.
