Rainbow Station has a huge selection of men's underwear, toys, lube and aromas. The lube selection was impressive, lots of brands and sizes. They also have a video arcade in the back, I don't know if it's rooms or theaters. Prices are just average for a physical store. The first level is packed with toys, lube, and underwear. It's quite packed and it is like a warehouse. Lower level has a few bachelorette party, pride items and some leather harnesses, it looks like a storage room but it's less cramped. The staff isn't gay and have to man the register and video entry, but they were friendly if not enthusiastic. It's not the gay sex store I expected, more like a hardware store with adult items. read more

It was my first time in the store. Dusty, cheap merchandise cluttered the walls as I squinted in the cold fluorescent lighting. Two Indian gentlemen working up front eyed me suspiciously as I walked down the steps to escape their stare. I didn't know my way around and walked past a darker room. I was trying to read the sign that I believe said NO SEXUAL ACTIVITY ALLOWED when one of the workers who must've followed me down scolded, you cannot go in there, it's ten dollars for entry! No thanks, dude, I was already on my way out. At the top of the steps, there was another dark room where I saw eyeballs leering out. I'm not sure if there is an unannounced fee for that room as well. I rushed past the poppers and out the front door, wondering if the video store on the next block is any better. read more

Shopped here a few times but I don't trust them anymore after today's experience. I paid with a gift card and then the rest in cash, and the employee then tells me my card was declined and that they don't take gift cards. Confused and suspicious, I call the number of the gift card and indeed, the money has been charged. The employees made it seem like it didn't, and wanted me to pay the full price in cash. Until they pulled out the transaction history, and they found out that indeed it was charged. I do not trust them anymore because they knew the card went through. They just wanted to overcharge me. read more

First I was turned away for having a backpack and a tote bag. I kindly left and came back with just one bag . then I was screamed at for shopping for underwear for over 20 minutes. i go here often because they have the largest underwear selection and underwear is literally my work uniform. unfortunately the owner is one of rudest people I've ever encountered. He should never be in any customer service position. I honestly feel bad having to give them my money and I'm actively seeking new stores that won't racially profile me and threaten to kick me out for literally trying to buy their merchandise. Ive never written a yelp review before so this is saying a lot about how egregious the customer is. if you can get whatever you need somewhere else just go there, it's not worth it. read more

Our group of 7 enter the shop, two gay friends and the rest women from St. Louis and San Francisco. Our St. Louis friends were thoroughly intrigued with the contents of the store, dildos, thongs, toys, lube... I must tell you, even I was impressed by the selection of lubricants. Shelves upon shelves of oil and waterbased concoctions. Even one called, "Butt Butter". I turned to my gay friends, they acted surprised...hmmmmmmm. The salesperson was friendly and quite enjoyed our antics, the store is well lit and not sleazy feeling. So a fun excursion for all. read more

I would leave no stars honestly if it was a choice. My friend and I both went here shopping for swimwear and basically got met with hard stares and very pointed questions. Towards checking out the man kept asking my friend where I was when I was right beside (behind the register he could only see infront of him not to the side). He said my friend was there before and he has never been there ever. It was our first time there together. He examined my friend's debt card as if it wasn't his (while his picture is on the front of the card) .5/10. read more

The video head cleaner in tall bottle, black and white label, no brand name was GOOD here and a few dollars less than the place across the street where I have come to realize that the bottles are never fresh and always 'duds'. Now back to Rainbow. The sole problem with this store is the help. They just are downright rude. I bought three bottles of this kinda of expensive video head cleaner and when I asked the guy a question, a simple one at that, for which I already knew the answer, he answered me by telling me he didn't know... You sell these products and you don't know about them ... Then when I was paying, I asked him to put the bottles in a bag, these places all have little brown paper bags, he said he has to look for one and scrambled around the area and then found one. read more

I walked inside with my boyfriend trying to find a specific item and the guy behind the counter was very immature about helping us find what we were looking for. He was very judgmental and apparently angry for no reason. Be aware because their customer service will make you feel "dirty" rather than welcomed. He even told me that his wife is "cheap with sex" and stared at me very uncomfortably. On our way out he started yelling at another customer for browsing and not buying anything. Don't shop at this location if you value your dignity. read more

Went here, after already having one bad experience, only because they were the solitary advertised retailer in NYC on the BREEDWELL website. While trying two items on, the employees accused me of stealing and then watched back through the security footage while I was trying to actually pay for something. They then told me I had to tell the person at the cashier how many items I had to try in the back fitting room, but had no signage indicating this was their policy and refused to listen to my suggestion they make that more clear to their customers. After going back and forth about it, I finally walked out and they lost a sale. Because of their utter rudeness and aggression I will NEVER be going back and will contact BREEDWELL directly to order with them and suggest they find another retailer. I encourage others to stay away. read more

Rainbow Station... More like racist station or rainbow racists.. Went in here to buy some souvenirs and gag gift for my friends. After about 35 minutes of browsing the upstairs because I couldn't decide, I head downstairs to see what stock they have down there. Immediately I noticed the register clerk was watching my every move. I came into the store well dressed and mannered and ready to spend my money on the expensive products that they have in this store. After feeling uncomfortable, I had upstairs and the register clerk decides to follow me upstairs and follow me around pretending to clean next to me. At some point, I couldn't take it any more. My buddy was trying something on and I went to give my input while standing in the door and the clerk decided to come over and yell at us for being to close to the door while he was changing, invading his privacy, as he was not fully clothed, and came over to come into the fitting room. That was the last straw. We got into an argument about him being extremely aggressive and making his customers feel uncomfortable and he replied I don't care. If you want to be watched and stalked and have your privacy in the fitting rooms to be disregarded then by all means shop here. My first experience with New York and this store and this is how I was treated. I will make sure many people here about Racist Station and review this store everywhere I can.. read more

The guy downstairs where the peep show is rude I mean really RUDE I understand if I have to pay to get my stuff going on in the back but the guy was yelling because I asked him why did I have to pay I paid in the booth the last time the guy was already rude I was willing to pay him $1 because that's what I paid last time I was in the booth he flashed a flashlight at me like I'm some kind of animal I had to walk out read more

0 stars if possible. Very simply the prices for most items are triple what you would pay on Amazon. I went in not knowing prices bought 2 vibrators $140. Got home and saw the same exact models for $50. I get stores have expenses and everything on Amazon may be a bit cheaper but THREE TIMES THE COST. Even then, I went back to the store and they wouldn't even give me a credit. Said ALL SALES FINAL. Stay away. Give me a break. I showed your customer service person the packaging. I never opened the product. I never even took it out of the the bag. I can show you today the product on Amazon. If I verify/prove to you the same product is 1/3 the price would you then give me a refund. My # is 917-747-2040. And I still haven't touched the product. Still in original packaging unopened. Mr. Ethical owner... Call me and I'll send you a link. You don't have to look hard. I found it in 2 minutes. read more

One of the BEST place for all your NYC Party Life! Prices are very reasonable and their selection of underwear and gogo gear are point with new items all the time from design labels such as Jack Adams, Andrew Christian and their own private label "Black Unicorn" (which I was one of their very first models to be showcased on their website. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The new space is larger and more efficiently organized. read more

Rainbow Station - 665 Neoprene Vest - Lingerie Near Me - New York, New York

Rainbow Station has a great selection... Everything I ever need; and if they don't carry it, the owner is so nice he can order it for pickup so that you don't have to keep looking at other places till you end up not finding what you are looking for! The staff are really helpful and offer to help you look around if you happen to need any help! They don't bother you though like some stores tend to do when they look over your shoulder and don't offer privacy. You can shop till you drop, you are likely to find something that you didn't even go in there for originally and then some! There new store renovation is really great as well! I highly recommend taking a look here, even if you have been in the past, there renovation has brought with their store inventory lots of new items! A+! read more

This place is the worst place to go to one they super expensive for there cheap fabric clothes. The employees in there are rude and don't know how to talk to people. Another thing if you in the peep show booth in the back they only allow the people they like to stay in the booth without paying for hours and not knock in the door but if they don't like you the staff will harass you knock so many time in the door to put money when he see there 3 booth that haven't but money and that not fair and if you argue with them they quick to call the cops like really and they racist they dislike Spanish and white people this place need to be shut down is just a place where people catch stds and hiv so don't go if you do use protection for everything read more

I wish I could give zero stars. The second time I come with a friend and they're rude, both times, when we're trying things on. They're rushing us; when I explained that we were finishing. We were told to leave. I'll never shop here again! I'm so angry. Never again! read more

Great place as long as you don't have any questions about the merchandize or expect any form of intelligent communication to come from the store attendees much less correct change. Visited during the daytime. Store attendees barely spoke english, didn't know a damn thing about what they were selling and didn't even know how to charge my card. I gave up and walked out. Avoid this place. read more

I came in here just wondering what the store was about and what kind of selection they had in terms of gay or straight stuff. This is one of the other large gay adult stores in Chelsea (I'd say their stock is 95% gay). This place feels more empty, lacking in selection compared to the Blue Store across the way but some may like the the fact that they have a much smaller staff especially when it comes to the back arcade used for movie watching or other questionable activities. The prices weren't any different then the Blue Store so I'm not quite sure why one would come here over there but it's still a decent place for what it is. read more

DON'T SHOP HERE! Disgusting and horrible store clerk. No one should be treated like a criminal for mistakenly using the wrong bathroom. The guy barged into the small bathroom while I was relieving myself and demanded that I leave. Then he cursed at me and used offensive language. I have never been treated that way before by a store clerk, especially in a free loving neighborhood like that. Spend your money elsewhere! There are tons of adult stores with better service in the neighborhood. read more

This store is very good with their selection and the hours. If ever late the the city and needing the best variety of smoking accessories in the northeast they never disappoint. Always stocking the newest styles read more

Prices are higher than at Purple Passion, a block over. Very much the cliched sleezy sex shop ambiance.

Found what we wanted! It was mid Sep and we needed gay pride flags. No one had them but Rainbow Station! The guy downstairs said the person upstairs would give a good discount, it it was okay. read more

Their specialty is underwear and clothing which they do have a good selection. Everything is also well stocked and the store itself appeared well lite and clean. The atmosphere is the downer here. The staff was just that, staff. There to collect money and watch for thieves. I came in alone and was unnerved almost the whole time. read more

Awesome stuff... lots of goodies for dancers, enthusiasts, photographers, etc. Highly recommended...

The young man at register was great. Very polite n professional. However, the customer service provided by the older employee was awful! He actually yelled at at patrons n this is not the first time. I almost walked out out and left about 95 dollars. Overall good merchandise read more

went two weeks ago for some toys. I'm a first timer. well first things first. I got asked for ID - no biggie. BUT I was accused of it not being MY ID, I was also accused of coming by earlier - which I did not- and then just asking me unnecessary questions. didn't like at all! the customer service should be wayyyyy better especially because of where it's located! anyways !!!!!!!! a lot of selections that's a plus but noone on the floor to assist you. like I said i was a first timer so I didn't know where to start. they should have females and guys on the floor. it's not so big of a place but pretty sure ALOT of people come here to shop. just feel like they can improve I customer service ! I needed help and there was none. almost walked out empty handed .. but good stuff will go back when needed read more
