The bay's are pretty big, they have a shoot house, and you can actually shoot out to about 4 or 500 meters during a 3 gun match (some clubs have to simulate long distance). USPSA and IDPA matches a couple times a month. 3 Gun Matches, Carbine, steel, and so on. My favorite place around here to shoot competitively. No running water or anything on the range. They closed the water area every 30 min to allow the next group of people in line in. But before they did that the lifeguards wiped down all areas of the play structures. It was a process but nonetheless the kiddos had a great time. Luckily, I had extra clothes for the grandkids to change out of, otherwise we would have to play in the dry playground while hearing and seeing the kids enjoy the Splash Pad. The playground has their rules and regulation posted on the gates. The restrooms are just outside of the play area, so very convenient. There is nice green grass in some areas and some picnic tables and stationary benches. I believe on of the rules is that you cannot set up canopy's, but I did see people set up a couple. I don't know if they have someone police the area if people are abiding by the rules. It wasn't a bother to anyone but I'm sure there is a reason for having that rule. The play area is nicely padded. The play equipment is nicely spread out where you could really view your littles as they run free with your close eye on them. There are different areas with equipment that is age appropriate. For sure I would return. Plenty of parking, it is clean and the grandkids and I love it here!

After speaking with other people at the park, we were told the City of Temecula does not currently have plans to reopen it. This information definitely needs to be updated online so families know before making the trip. Aside from that, the playground itself is very clean and has a nice rubberized surface for the kids. There is a massive toddler playground with its own separate swing set, along with a larger playground for older kids. It is honestly a nice park, and the closed splash pad is the only reason I am giving it three stars.

Called on a Thursday to see if they were accepting new memberships. Guy on the phone said yes. I then made sure that I could come Friday to sign up and shoot the same day. He said yes no problem. Get there Friday, 30 min drive for me btw. I have never been to this place and first impression is it's a complete DUMP. I decide to go into the shanty of an office to see about getting a membership. I open the door and I have barely placed a foot across the threshold when this rude as hell ass_ _ _ _ that is maning the desk says, well don't just stand there with the door open, close it. REALLY? I was making my way in, it was crowded cause the damn place is smaller than a closet, and I hadn't even fully got in to be able to close the door. Unbelievable. So now I'm thinking, probably not going to give this S _ _ _ _ hole my money. The other customers in the office go out to the range and the dude says, "so what can I do for you" in a really crappy tone. I say, I'm thinking about getting a membership. He quickly runs through what's needed with an I don't give a crap attitude and then says, "BUT, you have to come on Saturdays to open a membership". I then explain that when I called yesterday, the guy told me I could come today and do it. His response, "Well he was wrong". I turned and left without a word. Believe me when I tell you, it was all I could do not to come across the desk and take this guy out. It was that bad and it is clear that this idiot needs to be fired. Something to note, the place is called Duncan's. Please do not confuse this with Duncan's Gun Store in San Marcos. They are not the same business. Tom Duncan who owns the range is the brother of the Duncan that owns the Gun Store. The Gun Store is filled with very professional, courteous people and I will continue to do business with them. As for Duncan's the gun range, there's not a chance in hell they are getting my money nor should they get yours. How this place has even ONE customer is beyond me. STAY AWAY!! . read more

Well, I went to this range recently as a guest and I thought it looked like somewhere I would want to join. It was close to my house and fairly cheap for a membership. I called yesterday and told the guy working I would be in today before 5 to sign up. I took off an hour early from work and arrived around 4pm, it had been barely sprinkling that day and as I parked i see the employee sitting out on the porch of the office. I tell him that I am interested in signing up (had a check already ready for the payment) he tells me that would be great if it wasn't today...he looked at the partly wet floor and informed me that he wasn't gonna do a sign up because he didn't want to do a range tour which is part of the orientation. The range is tiny so the tour would have probably taken 10 minutes. I've heard the rumors of the guy who works the office and unfortunaltey they turned out to be true. It's sad that Rainbow range is the closest range to my house but I will be driving the extra mileage to another range because I refuse to give a place like that my business. If the range decides to drop the deadbeat employee hopefully they get the word out and I would be willing to try again. It's people like that that give Rainbow a bad rep. Hopefully someone someday can build a range close to Temecula that knows how to treat customers and operates like a close-knit community the way that gun enthusiasts should be. read more

Most of the older members need to invest in electronic ear pro. Three times the range was called cold while on the pistol range and 3 other people removed their targets. Myself and another person follow after. An older dude (he had his back turned from down range) yells at us that his gun was not made safe and cold was not called.....ummm excuse me! Another gentlemen went up to said older dude and said the range was called cold. So, he goes and reports us. Their were 2 other guys shooting to his left and they heard the range was called cold.... I don't appreciate the integrity of other shooters there especially if they can't hear and they are not aware of their surroundings. Oh and my favorite, picking up other shooters casings always a joy. We pay so much....they should pick the brass. Use the range at your own risk. I will not be coming back. read more

As a new Yelper, couldn't be happier to write this review. A little slow to the internet thing. But certainly no rookie to guns shooting and being a member at Rainbow. Rainbow offers a little piece of heaven to shooters in S. Ca. Open year round, cool knowledgeable staff, awesome members, inexpensive range membership and a relaxed atmosphere. Be safe and courteous and you will love the experience Rainbow has to offer. Numerous ranges for all disciplines of shooting. Would love to enjoy skeet shooting again. I started when I was a boy and come from a family of hunters. The NRA is not what it used to be and I won't rejoin it, so i guess I can't go here. Just wanted to enjoy the sport again. Too bad , this looks like a fun place. I'll find a place but wanted to post to make it known that not all gun lovers are in the NRA.
