And speaking of lunch, all meals are nutritious and prepared by the caregivers. They are offered lots of fruits and vegetables with different proteins. My son lovesss eating there. One downside is that my bland cooking is no match for the food at daycare so I've had to step it up at home. 3. We toured several OC daycares and went with an in-home daycare because we wanted a smaller facility. We were told by our friends that when our son starts daycare we should expect him to be sick all the time. He has been sick a few times but nothing serious and definitely not often. I attribute it to the small number of toddlers and Marjan's clean home (and his regular vaccines of course). As I said before, my son is thriving and loves seeing his friends and teachers. Safety (and trust) was of course our number one priority, but beyond that, Ms. Marjan sealed the deal with the wealth of information she shared on how she runs her in-home daycare. We left the meeting/tour feeling like there were no unanswered questions, and confident that our son would be in the best care between Ms. Marjan and Ms. Niharika. Throughout our time together, Ms. Marjan was flexible, understanding and attentive to details/a great listener. Accommodations were made to adhere to Luca's specific dietary needs, and we knew from Luca's afternoon bowel movements that he was chowing down his daycare provided meals (mostly organic and all homemade!). Though our time was short, we're so lucky to have found this gem - organized and structured, but also with lots of room and encouragement for creativity, which allowed our son to grow and thrive! Paradise Kids is truly a paradise, and we feel everything was done in the best interest of our little boy. Here are just a few reasons why: The teachers are everything when it comes to choosing a place to care for young children -- and in that regard, this daycare scores beyond perfect. Ms. Julia and Mr. Vlad, along with their amazing staff, always greet the children with warm smiles. They are caring, patient, and handle discipline with just the right amount of firmness and kindness. As a result, the kids both love and respect them -- and they listen well! The daycare uses the entire first floor of their home plus the backyard, creating a cozy, homey atmosphere. But at the same time, the space is fully designed for children -- much like a larger preschool. There are swings, a slide, a seesaw, and even rabbits and parrots for the children to enjoy! Despite being a home daycare, there are engaging daily activities, many of them Montessori-based. There's even gentle academic learning, tailored to the kids' pace. In just 3-4 months, our child joyfully mastered phonics here! Every week there's also a "Show and Tell" time that our child would look forward to -- likely because the teachers are so encouraging. They also make sure play is part of every day. In the summer, there's daily water table play. They even change each child into dry clothes afterward -- something many parents, including myself, would find hard to do at home every single day. Because of all this, our child -- who struggled to adjust emotionally at a large preschool before -- became visibly happier at this daycare. He looked forward to going each day, shared lots of joyful stories about his teachers and friends at home, and even sometimes asked to stay longer at pickup time!
