He was more than happy to tell us about all the stuff that he has on the menu, what his recommendations are, and some stories behind it. He was talking to us so much that the people who came in behind us left! It's great that they have a lot of vegan options, including the lassis, which is a complete surprise, and the food was all really good. I ordered crazy chaat, a cardamom lassi, and the chicken naan pizza. Pizza was definitely interesting and flavorful, but I think it doesn't quite hold up that well on the naan bread. Perhaps a bit stronger on the flavor than I was looking for, and I generally don't do too much dairy, so not sure I'll get that again, but I would definitely try some other things, including another lassi. Just about two tables inside, and then a few outside, so not a whole lot of space to eat there, but the food is good. I'll try it again sometime! I think they have a KOP location too!

We ordered Paneer Tikka Masala, Shahi Paneer, and Garlic Naan, which was quite possibly the best garlic naan we've ever had. Not only was it covered in garlic and butter, but other herbs as well. The Shahi Paneer was also a delicious, rich, creamy sauce, and the owner even custom-made a wonderful hot sauce for me from the Paneer Tikka Masala that was so delicious that I took the extra home. Thanks for such an unexpectedly delicious experience!

I googled Yemeni restaurant in West Philly because I couldn't remember the name and yep, looking at…read morethe reviews, this was the place. We stuck with the recommendations from those reviews. It was quiet in the early afternoon but there were a lot of folks coming in for take out while we were there. We were also pretty lucky that there was a parking spot open right across the street. Our service was great. We were seated and given menus in a cheerful manner. One thing I didn't love was asking for water and being given a plastic bottle of it. It was cold however and great on a hot day. We ordered three dishes; the lamb haneeth with rice, It was fall of the bone great. We also ordered the fish (also comes with rice) and the Fasolia which comes with the pizza sized bread. I loved the fasolia - so flavorful and not overcooked. Any one of those dishes would have been enough for me with a serving left over. With husband in tow, we had a big leftover sack that made for great lunch today.

The lamb was tender, juicy, and full of rich flavor. It was perfectly cooked, not dry at all, and had a nice balance of spices that made every bite enjoyable. You could really taste the traditional Yemeni-style seasoning, which made the dish feel authentic and comforting. The rice was light, fluffy, and well-seasoned, pairing beautifully with the lamb. It absorbed the meat's flavor and juices, making the whole plate even more delicious. The portion size was generous, and I felt it was great value for the price. I also tried the bone soup, and it was excellent. The broth was warm, rich, and nourishing, with a deep flavor that felt both healthy and satisfying. It's the kind of soup that makes you feel refreshed and energized, especially on a cold day. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was calm and welcoming, and the staff were polite and attentive. Service was smooth, and my food arrived in good time. Everything was clean and well-organized, which added to the positive experience. Overall, my visit to Hadramout Restaurant was memorable. If you enjoy traditional Middle Eastern or Yemeni food, especially well-cooked lamb and comforting soups, this place is definitely worth visiting. I will surely come back again and recommend it to friends and family.

The meat was mostly good. My favorite was the sausage. It was so flavorful and unique. The chicken was on the drier side and a little tough for me. I did get a rouge small bone in one of the pieces. The rest was also seasoned very well and had a touch of sweetness almost like a bulgogi, but more savory. The egg roll was also fried to perfection - crispy but not greasy. The papaya salad was good. I found nothing too special about it. The beef jerky was not dry or tough at all and I thought was the star of the salad Overall, I liked this place and would come back. The (red) meats definitely stand out and are stars here

However, closer questioning reveals an issue: their shared fryer. Because tofu and spring rolls are fried in the same oil as meat or seafood, cross-contamination is a major concern. The staff was incredibly patient in helping me look through the menu and identified two dishes they could safely veganize: the papaya salad and steamed bok choy. If you are comfortable with cross-contamination, there are more options available, but be sure to leave out the fish sauce. For what it's worth, Vietnam Café is widely regarded as one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Philly, and the interior and ambiance certainly match its reputation. Just be prepared to be selective with your order.

It's spacious with two floors of seating and easy take out as well. The service is excellent. Sid is so friendly and wonderful. I was the only person in the restaurant for a brief period in between other guests leaving and coming, and we chatted about Ethiopia's history & travel, as I'm dying to go there. Above all, the food was fantastic. I got the Village Scramble, spiced eggs with veggies in injera. Wow wow wow! Their injera is delicious and the heat level was great (not ridiculously spicy, but a good kick). I also got their Shai Tea, similar to a chai but spiced slightly differently. It was delicious and now I know I can just come for a takeout chai latte here too. Can't wait to come back!

The meat combo plate (Siga Wot and Siga Alicha w/ two veggie sides) was very underwhelming. The meat portions were tiny and barely flavorful. The veggies were just ok. We did have an order of chicken and beef samosas. Those were good. Sad that the appetizers at a restaurant tastes much better than the entrees. The customer service needs lots of work as well. Although this place is BYOB, our server wouldn't bring us cups until we ordered food. I guess she did us a favor by providing us with cups of water first. Our server brought our food out and we never saw her again. No other staff member checked on us either to see if we needed anything (and a few of them passed us as they were in and out of the restaurant). I was irritated and we were ready to leave. I went inside to pay the bill since no one came back to our table outside. Like we literally could have gotten up and went to our car and left. That's how ignored we felt. We did notice how the staff were being very attentive to other patrons inside the restaurant (Ethiopian as well and possibly family and/or friends). An Ethiopian guy (seemingly the owner or manager) was behind the counter and I told him I wanted to pay the bill. He had the nerve to ask how was everything. I said it was ok. I paid in cash and didn't leave a tip. That'll be the last time I go to this place as I do not recommend it whatsoever. I'm sure there are better Ethiopian spots in the Philly area.
