Used to live in Sonoma and now I commute back there just to go back to this nail salon. It is sooo hard to find somewhere that does perfect shape and great detail, however the staff here always have gone above and beyond to satisfy my needs. The attention they put on to it and the amount of kindness in this place is mind blowing. Kim does my nails, she takes pride in her work. I get gels done here and at infinity nails in Santa Rosa... only. I have tried almost all of the nail salons in Sonoma - I am a hair stylist- and I am a perfectionist. When I had to back once for a re-do as does happen from time to time with nails anywhere you go regularly, they were kind and speedy in fixing it. I don't know for sure, but I believe this is a family operation and I would like to continue to support them- they were there for me during the pandemic and I'll be there for them in the coming years. read more

Rainbow had always done a good job on my nails. I've been three times now. I suggest going right when they open to ensure they focus on you and do a good job. Midday gets very crowded and they rush. I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars because a lot of people have to wait when they have afternoon appointments because the staff let walk-ins go without checking the reservations. read more

I asked to take my acrylic set off of my nails and get a whole new set and the lady that did they tore 3 of my nail beds and made me bleed. Then tried to tell me that it was my fault for having acrylics rather than dip on. I've been wearing acrylic nails non-stop for years and no one has made me bleed or ripped into my natural nail bed ever. I kept pulling my hands away in pain and she just kept telling me that I'm scared. I'll never be going back again. She also kept drilled on my skin because she was careless with the drill. Called in and was able to get an appointment immediately for an acrylic fill with gel. Hanna did my nails and I absolutely love them. She was so diligent and did them exactly how I wanted. Seriously can't stop looking at my nails!! I haven't had great luck with acrylic nails in Sonoma county but I'm so so pleased with her work. This place lacks cleanliness, especially during Covid, a time when their protocols should be stronger. They do not sanitize any of their tools, they reuse nail file from one guest to another, nor do they wash their hands between clients. I continued with services because I was desperate to remove my gel polish. Along with removing of gel polish, I also received a manicure. Never again. Nail shapes were inconsistent (came home and redid most of them) there was no hot towel wrap, and literally FIVE SECONDS of "massage" on each hand. For the price, you could go elsewhere and receive better services and feel safer. read more

The new staff Was welcoming and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I received a manicure and a Pearl pedi. The massage I received was wonderful and my nails look great. Came several times over the years & it's just disappointing. Acrylic nails never turn out the way you want/ask. They don't follow the health guideline rules by using dirty/used fillers, buffers, gloves and soooo much more. Only time I was somewhat satisfied with my experience is when the salon is EMPTY! Don't bother coming in when there's other customers if so, they will rush you through to get to the next customer waiting & end up doing a half ass job. read more

Okay so back in April, I went in to get chrome nails for my birthday, Andy did them and they were awesome! Loved! Then I went in to get my nails done for graduation in May and wanted to try the dip powder, Andy was busy with someone else, so some other guy did them. I was there for almost two hours and they still let me walk out of there with blue egg looking nails (see photo). I called them and they had me go in the following day and Andy was able to "fix" them (I ended up doing gel again because I was scared to ever do powder again). I've gone in several times after this with Andy, but there was one time where he was busy once again so I decided to have another guy do my nails, bad idea! He did my manicure in 30 minutes, no massage at the end and nails started chipping within a week! So ever since then, I only have Andy do my nails, he takes his time while making sure every nail is perfect! read more

I dropped in today at the Rainbow Nails Spa to inquire about pedicure service and cost. I also observed the cleanliness of the facility. I then decided to have a pedicure. Amy provided a professional pedicure and paid attention to the problem areas on my feet. When I was done with the pedicure Ann (who I assume is the manager) asked if I was satisfied with the service as I had told her earlier that I was unhappy with another establishment I had been going to for many years. I haven't had my nails done in years I heard great things about rainbow. Had my nails done today am I loved them. The only issues I have had is I had crystals put on my nails and within the first hour one fell off. We glued it back on at home and then tonight, another crystal on the other hand came off. I wish there was a way to have that not happen. Also, the matte overlay on one of my nails is already coming off and. It's not smooth on another nail.The girl doing my nails was super busy the whole time, and on the phone a lot, not a big deal. I came in with an idea and that idea was shot down so I decided to do something easier. Hope my next appt will be better . Overall, I will go back, they are pretty good at what they do. read more
