I went here with a bunch of girlfriends on a girls trip. It's in Sonoma, so we were prepared to get not very good tourist service. But man, did we really not get service. We walked in and the salon people were just all sitting there swapping flies. First bad sign. Then they divided each of us to the pedicure massage chairs. For some reason, my lady does my nails first. My friends are just sitting there even though they literally had no one else. It wasn't until my lady had wiped my old polish, cut my toe nails, and started filing my toe nails did the other people appear and worked on my friends. There warm their lotion and towels in what I believe to be a hot furnace. Right when the lady put the towel on me, it just felt like it was dipped in boiling water. I told her to take it off of me quickly. She seemed annoyed but it was burning! She painted my toe nails and then did my manicure. My manicure chipped in 2 days and my pedicure lasted the full two weeks. I probably won't visit Sonoma for awhile, but will definitely not be coming here again. read more

They didn't even take her in until 3:20... as I was sitting waiting for my turn they decided to take a person who walked in right after us. I have been going to Rainbow Nails Spa for several months to get dip nails; as to my knowledge, they are the only nail salon in Sonoma that does dip nails. I had been suspicious that they didn't clean their tools between customers until my most recent visit. The top coat was drying on my nails while the guy that was working on my nails began prepping the nails of the girl next to me. I watched him take all the equipment he had just used on me to start using it on her, without cleaning or using new equipment/files!! I was disgusted. Apart from that, the guy doing my nails kept accidentally digging his nails into the fresh dip and messing it up. He also cut my nails as short as he possibly could after I had just asked for them to be lightly trimmed. Approximately less than a week after getting them done, they began to chip and crack, which is very unusual for dip nails. I will never be going back, and will be getting my dip nails done elsewhere. At first, I thought these nails were so nice. I asked for coffin shape and they are way more squared then coffin. I never have broken a nail, and if I did I would feel the pain. Nothing happened and I noticed half of my nail was gone. Now I'm out of the country with a broken nail. Keep in mind I didn't have these nails for a full week. Disappointed. read more

I generally never post bad reviews but couldn't stop myself from reviewing this salon. The staff is rude and don't listen to their customers. For my Mani/Pedi they used extremely hot paraffin wax, I feared my skin is burnt. When I asked to stop the guy continued. Cut my cuticles so deep that blood came out, again no acknowledgment of wrong doing. I wanted to try some nail colors, the staff was extremely annoyed with that and kept speaking something to her colleagues in her native language. My little girl went for the first time and they ruined her experience as well. When I asked her to draw a little flower on one of her nails, again the staff was annoyed and did a shoddy job. I was rushed and they applied all nail polish coat back to back resulting in a soggy mess. In the end we were asked for cash and again they were annoyed when we paid via card. Never Again!! Please avoid this place at all cost. They are terrible!!! read more

This new salon was recommended by a friend. I've lived her 10 years and have yet to find a decent nail salon. I called ahead and was able to get right in. A plus for me. However, my experience was not good. I got gels and the gal put on the Wrong color. When I pointed this out her response was Am I Bad". So she had to spend an additional 20 minutes fixing her mistake. In 2 days one nail had chipped. Another nail cracking on top. I'm careful and always wear gloves. So, I'm still searching for a decent nail place, that doesn't break the bank! read more

This place has been highly recommended since they opened in Sonoma. Cheap prices for what they offer. I got the full treatment pedicure for only $45 and also a full set gel manicure. They took their time, but were still efficient and payed attention to every detail. Could not have asked for anything more. Never have I been so satisfied with my nails before. read more

I made an appointment for me and my grandma at 3, and the day it was fine. So we got there a few minutes later and my grandma was helped quickly, but I had to wait. One hour later they finally got started. I showed the girl a picture of what I wanted, which was the basic barely curved on the side, the lady made them almost triangular. I've been going to Rainbow Nails for over a year because the staff is pleasant, they do an excellent job and it's clean! They have several levels of pedicures, which I find to be beneficial for how much time I have and my budget. I started getting the dip manicure here and it lasts almost a month. I have been here twice now. The first time was great second time not so great. I was able to get right in over the weekend with no wait. I had manicure pedicure with two girls doing my nails at once. The manicure was good. The girl doing my pedicure was horrible. Everyone else around me had neck wraps. She forgot to offer me one. When it came time for the foot rub she never rubbed my feet, only my legs which was very odd. I am getting a pedicure so why didnt she massage my feet ? She did not know what she was doing!! The way she painted my nails lasted only a few days. The nail polish was uneven as well. Very disappointed. read more

I have been to this salon about 5 times and every time I get so annoyed. I kept giving it another try since it's so close to my house. The customer service is sooo bad. I never feel like it's a luxury to go there and relax. You stare at a bright blue wall and have to listen to the worker on her phone FaceTiming the whole time. Not once have I been in there with out her on the phone most of the time. It already takes forever to get dip but when she keeps answering the phone, the lady next to me came in way after and she was done 15 min before I was. The time before last, I got dip and the day after 2 nails cracked so I went in to get them fixed. As I did, I sat my the bathroom and someone had gone number 2 and the whole place smelled so bad. I couldn't even bare sitting there. They did fix it for free so I'll I was happy with that but that was the last time I go there. They give no massages with their services. I don't want to go somewhere that is annoying and smelly for over an hour. They really need to have a better ambiance and customer service. read more
