Called them for a repair on a Schonbek fixture. They asked me to send pictures. I did. They did not acknowledge receiving the pictures. I had to contact them to get an answer. Yes, they said and I set up an appointment for them to come get the fixture and discuss the repair in more detail. The guy never showed. Then when I texted him 1/2 hour after the appointment time he had some jack ass song and dance for me which was foolishly ridiculous because all he had to do was text me or call me earlier that day and say he could not make the appointment and needed to reschedule. read more

We had a problem with a chandelier we purchased from Rainbow Lighting. The light color temperature was 2700K and we needed 4000K. The LED was integrated, nonreplaceable, and we mistakenly bought it. I was told by other lighting experts that this is impossible to change. Since the purchase was at Rainbow Lighting, I naturally spoke with the principal there, named Mati. He investigated it and checked and researched, and it took almost one year. He finally found what he was looking for. I brought him the chandelier and his guys replaced the lighting parts. I picked it up and installed it in my dining room and it was PERFECT! I cannot thank Mati enough for his efforts to please my wife and I. This was our 3rd purchase from them, and we plan to go back for all our lighting needs in the future. read more

Writing this so everyone can STAY AWAY so your house doesn't burn down!! I bought 2 chandeliers from them a few years back where both Exploded Instantly and we had a mini fire!!! We went back and asked what the Hell is that all about. They exchanged the lamps for us saying must have been a factory malfunction. It Happened again (sparks and all) they asked us to bring it and come back when the "NEW" stock would come in. Long story short THEY GAVE US THE SAME LAMPS JUST TAMPERED WITH my electrician said THERE'S NOOO way they came from the factory like this when he took it apart after yet another 1 of my homes almost caught fire !!! I'm not planning to go back and complain because I know they're Too shady to give me my money back and I MOST DEFINITELY DO NOT want anymore lamps from them THEY ARE ALL TAMPERED WITH they probably buy broken lamps, fix and sell as New!!! i purchased a ceiling fan for $159 and was told that the installation would be $100. I told the salesman that there was a remote switch in the wall from the previous fan. He said, that's not a problem and that he would send along a switch with the installer. After it was hung, the installer said we owed him $45 for the switch as per his boss. The switch cost $5.99 ( plate included). The wiring was all there and all he has to do was connect it. i paid him and called the manager the next day. He was obnoxious and very rude and finally decided to refund $20. I'm a woman, and he was extremely condescending When talking to me. DON'T BUY FROM THEM. I bought a chandelier and LED bulbs from this store. The LED bulbs started burning out within a month. Went back to the store to exchange. Was going back to the store every few months to replace. Every time the salesman told me that my wiring was no good (I just had all electric replaced during renovations) or my switch was no good. Today I went with 8 burnt out bulbs to replace again. The store owner and the same salesman told me the bulbs are old and were never good to start with and offered to sell new bulbs $10 a bulb and refused to replace. read more

Great experience. This is the second time I have purchased a fixture from Rainbow and again I was so impressed with the service and especially the price. I saw the same exact fixture in another Brooklyn store for $120 more! The sales person helped me decide if the fixture would fit well in the room and aftet I told him it would he got up on a ladder measured for me and then offered to give me a special part from his stock just in case it hung too low. Horrible service. Wanted to buy a chandelier, had to wait 40 minutes for them to check if it's even in stock. It wasn't. So they told us to come back the next day because they'll have it the next day around 1-2 pm. Said alright no problem see you tomorrow. We call the next day about it, and they said it'll be there in 2 weeks now. We said you told us yesterday that we'd have it today. They said "you didn't leave a down payment". You didn't tell us to! You told us bye and see us tomorrow! I have a hole in my ceiling ready for a chandelier and I am not leaving it like that for 2 weeks. They only give their full attention and service to other Jewish people, and everyone else doesn't matter or gets half-ass service. They wouldn't answer our phone call anymore either and got very rude on the phone. read more

I purchased an expensive chandelier, the costumer service in store was very good, When the installer installed the chandelier at my house I notified him that it's a little to low he should pick it up a little higher, he was lazy to do it so he said "its beautiful like this" then he added " if you decide that you want to bring up a little just call us will come and do it for free", My table in my living room is a furniture table with a glass top, because the chandelier is so low it while using it for normal daily uses it happened twice that the crystal ball at the bottom of the chandelier fall of and broke the glass top, when I called in to the store asking for someone to bring it up a little they said the I will need to pay for that, when I told them the whole story (that I originally wanted it higher) they said that I need to discuss it with the boss, the boss promised me that he will take care of it, but he never took, and when I was trying to reach him again he is never available. read more

Waited two weeks before calling to see where my chandelier that I paid in full was I was put on hold to only learn it wasn't ordered they apologized and said it will be in in a week. Said that was fine. Called a week and a day later again put on hold asked if they could call me back said that was fine. Oh we apologize they are shipping it out within the next 24 hours ... Said it would be in on Monday or Tuesday called Tuesday still no light fixture called Friday was rudely told they didn't get their delivery yet and then lied to about what time they actually closed. Just left from them with my full refund after they offered the floor sample to me for "some money off" I would never go back I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy and the little they cared that it has been a month since my order was placed. There are a ton of chandelier/lighting stores in the area so if you are shopping around do not go here even if you are desperate. .... They also lied about the time they closed when I called today to see if it was in was told 6 and they close at 7 they are a mega showroom of lies!!!!!!!!!!! read more
