If you just want a cheap lamp for your desk, this probably might not be the best choice. But, they helped me set up some really cool lighting for my apartment and I felt it was fairly priced. What I needed took some time to create, but the owners answered all my questions and was very communicative throughout the process. Their stock seems to be more parts, rather than complete items - but that's kinda the cool thing. If you're interested in custom lighting options, it might be worth just to drop by this place. Also, very non sales-y (in a good way) and gives you straight forward answers.

Was told that the product just arrived at the warehouse and would be shipped out that day. Strike 2 -- dont show an item as in stock if you didn't already have it in stock. Two days later, still no email or tracking info, so I have to call again. Strike 3. This time was told by a different guy that my order was refunded because it was out of stock. But I check online and the product is showing as in stock still with a price 2x what I paid (now in line with the rest of the online sphere's pricing) -- idk how many strikes to count for these events but it would be several. Why am I being lied to? Why have I had to reach out every time instead of proactive communication from the retailer? Why was my purchase price not honored like any good retailer would? On top of that, the guy I spoke to the second time offered to have the guy from call #1 contact me as he was the one running point on all this of this and of course I never received a call. Bunch of lying cowards at the fulfillment department of this company. Everything you dont want in a customer experience. Would never spend a dime supporting a business like this.

This store has every possible part you would need to repair, rewire, or make a lamp or chandelier. Although you would have to get the base or frame elsewhere. Service was friendly and helpful. Prices were good. The tree was $100, which might be a bit high, but it's very pretty. We needed coffee, and the nice man who helped us said that he would wrap the tree while we were gone. He didn't even ask us to pay in advance. When we came back, it was wrapped. Excellent customer service! Much appreciated.

The electrician could not fix it. I called the company, they could not fix it and they knew of no one who could. I brought it to Brooklyn Lamp Repair on 65th St. in Brooklyn, NY. Its a typical Brooklyn shop with items from the 1800's to todays modern lamps. The owner, Eddie was fantastic ! He took my sconce apart, looked it over, and told me to come back in two days. He got rid of the inside LED strip and transformer and rewired it to accept a dimmable LED bulb. Eddie and his wife were friendly, professional and reasonably priced. Two days later I picked it up and walked out smiling.

We had a much-loved antique lamp that suddenly stopped turning on. We e-mailed Roy with a description of the problem and a photo, and he promptly responded with an initial "diagnosis" and a fee quote to fix it. He came to our apartment the following week and our lamp was turning back on within 30 minutes. In person, Roy was polite and professional. I would not for the life of me have been able to figure out the problem, much less make the necessary repair, so Roy's services were certainly worth his fee. Can't recommend him enough. read more

The floor lamp Roy fixed several months ago suddenly went out again on a Friday evening; I emailed him, thinking I wouldn't hear back till Monday, but he returned my email right away, asking diagnostic questions about why the lamp wasn't working. I thought I followed his directions, but couldn't get it back on. So he showed up at my apartment on Monday, only to discover that (as he suspected) the bulbs were out. My mistake entirely. No charge. If you have a lamp problem, take it to him, pronto. read more

Roy has done wonderful work for 3 vintage lamps, one of them converted from european standards. He does wonderful work and is a really nice man. By the way, he needs a heart transplant.
