Tangerine beef rice rolls
Corinne P.

Love coming here for dim sum lunch. It's close to my house and big restaurant for a lot of people too. We waited only about 10 min for the 2 of us to get seated. We ordered tangerine beef rice rolls, eggplant stuffed with shrimp paste, and salt n pepper fish. We also ordered oolong tea as well. Tea is $1.88 a person. Everything came out hot and fresh. The eggplant portion was really big and perfect to share. They cut them in halves. The salt n pepper fish had lot of fried garlic, green onion, and jalapenos for flavor. I like how the batter wasn't too thick and oily as well. The tangerine beef rice rolls didn't have too much tangerine flavor as before but still delicious. They have a lot of items on their menu worth trying. They have duck, seafood, noodles, and some dessert dim sum to try as well. Looking forward to coming back to try more items with more people.

Been coming here for years and its been always a go to spot! We've dine in and take out. Restaurant is decent size and it can accommodate bug parties. They can get busy. Their menu is has so many of our faves! Service - most of the time is great. This visit we ordered BBQ Pork, Roast Pig, Peking Pork, Salt N Pepper pork chops, Beef chow fun, salt and pepper pork chops and Braised tofu and veg. It's been a while since we've ate here and it was just as good as I remembered.Def worth a place to check out- esp dinner! Havent had dim sun here in a minute but im sure its just as good!

The food here is really good and fresh. We come for their dim sum and it's cooked to order. We come every Sunday after church. It's our go to spot. They have a great selection. It's always packed first thing when they open. Their hot tea is brewed nicely as well. Waiters are very attentive and friendly. Ambiance is inviting.

Busy restaurant for a great dim sum! Went Sunday and this place was packed! Been before for dim sum and definitely this one hits the spot! Pro tip, if you want their baked BBQ BUNS, get there early. By 12:30, there were none left to purchase. They are super delish, and was disappointed we didn't get them. For the yummies we did get, Yass, everything was super, hot and served fast! Would recommend this place, but there could be a wait for tables, esp if you have big a big groups. This is a checklist style of dimsum, no carts. I leave my order in the photos, to give a guide line. Pretty standard order, nothing too strange. Standouts are the eggplant stuffed with shrimp and the taro puffs.

This restaurant should get more spotlight on it's authentic and great quality dim sum! Forget about the "wannabe" so called dim sum places on the strip. Really people come here for the dim sum fixes. Also. I'm calling out those AYCE dim sum and Chinese place for feeding us frozen/leftover like dim sums. You have nothing compare to this restaurant! To be honest, I'm surprised about the good quality and how much they stick to the traditional flavors. All the items we ordered are pretty tasty. If it needs to be crunchy, it's crunchy. If it needs to have lava-like salty egg yolk inside the bun, it has exactly what you are expecting! The service is awesome too. They check on the pot often and refill it. They even charge plates once. Wow! I never experienced this level of service unless it's a very nice Chinese restaurant. This restaurant deserves better and more reviews. My friends and I are looking forward to come back.

The first time the two of us went to rainbow kitchen, I was quite impressed. The food ingredients were fresh. First of all, the spareribs with taro are highly recommended. They tasted great and the taro was very soft. The shrimp was springy with the rice roll . The lava salted egg yolk buns were also quite good. After finishing one, I ordered another. The stir-fried Chinese cabbage with garlic was also very well made. Let me talk about some not-so-good ones The taste of the honeycomb tripe w/ satay sauce was not up to standard and was a bit bland. The porridge was actually okay. If the rice could be cooked a little softer. The crispy shrimp dumplings were a bit oily. Also, the freshly baked roast duck didn't have the crispy texture and was a bit lacking in flavor. The food in this restaurant has a relatively low salt content for me. If there were a little more salt, it might be even more delicious. The service was also very good. They often came over to check if there was any tea or water, and even offered to change the plates for us. But what was not so good was that when they saw you had nothing to eat, they would quickly come over to ask if you wanted to pay the bill. It feels like I'm about to leave after eating, and that made me uncomfortable . Their tips are calculated after tax, starting from 18%. I don't mind giving them 18% because the service is quite good. But I do mind giving them 18% after tax. Although it's a difference of a few dollars, this is a matter of principle. There's no reason for you to ask us consumers to pay the tax for your tips. Later, I gave them 18% before tax. But overall, compared with the Chinese food I've been to, it's still okay. So I give them four stars

This is always a nice spot to have dim sum. There's a great variety and the dishes come out hot. They are good at checking in on you to remove empty dishes and refill the water and tea. There are a lot of tables and it does get crowded, but that's the sign of a good Chinese place.

Rainbow Kitchen is now my go-to spot for dim sum and dumplings in SW Las Vegas! Nestled in a strip mall on Rainbow Blvd, this casual Cantonese restaurant serves truly fresh, made-to-order dim sum with no carts, just impeccable quality. Highlights include crispy dumplings pear shape (but tbh I call them DUCKLINGS lol) and the porridge. They serve it for you and you just eat. The portions are generous and bursting with flavor. The restaurant is spotlessly clean, with friendly, attentive staff (I love how they employ older gen staff and they are all SUPER NICE), a refreshing change from the chaos of Chinatown. I'm now a regular!

Rainbow Kitchen is one of our go to spots for Chinese food nearby home. Our absolute favorites are the salt and pepper pork chop and the squid. They are always crispy, flavorful, and cooked just right every time. We usually call ahead and they are very accommodating which makes ordering very easy and convenient for our family. The portions are generous and the food always comes out hot and fresh. Another big plus is the pricing. It is very affordable compared to other Chinese restaurants especially for the quality and portion sizes you get. I always tell friends to check our receipt so they can order the same dishes because it is truly my go to menu all the time for me and my family. Highly recommend.

For two adults. It was good.

Honey bbq pork, bbq bun, shrimp dimsum, chive and shrimp dimsum. These are all good. Services was quick.

Ok came back to give it another try..definitely redeemed......Reserved a table for 7 for family birthday dinner and it was perfect. All food served family style. Ordered Honey Walnut Shrimp Orange Chicken Dim sum BBQ pork bun Dim sum Lobster Salt and Pepper Lobster Sweet Corn with Chicken Soup Mongolian Beef Singaporean Noodles Glass Noodles with BBQ pork Scallops We tried it all. The service was amazing our server was attentive with refills, clearing plates and even helped serve my boyfriends cake. The food was fresh and Dim sum was very good. We live in the area and had been there prior and our family lived close and agreed we found a hidden gem. The salt and pepper lobster was 3ilbs and cooked amazing! Will come back and try the other flavors. The hot tea is a great addition. If you want a traditional delicious Chinese restaurant in your local area this is the place! Fresh food and great service!

So soft and full of flavor..

12/17/24- Wanted to try this place- fellow Yelper Raymond had a great review.. Being dim sum deprived- we came hungry- Smaller establishment - but filled with customers- Went with the soy sauce chow mein- Steamed bbq pork buns- Siu mai- Fried shrimp ball- Black bean spare rib Everything was good! Staff was very helpful- she was nice to fill it out.. as I was marking the wrong boxes.. lol.. Definitely will be back- the gai Lon is on the dinner menu- so next time- Worth the trip to get fresh dim sum!

Sweet & Sour Chicken. 2/5.
Cat L.

Not a bad option for Chinese takeout in Southwest Vegas. They do a solid Crispy Roasted Pork and good HK Style Pan-Fried Noodles! Their Sweet & Sour Chicken, however, is a miss. The chicken can be soggy on the outside and tough on the inside, and the sauce is too tart and runny, which contributes to the soggy issue. I prefer New York Chinese Restaurant's Sweet & Sour, for comparison's sake. Don't appreciate that they charge a buck or two more for each item than advertised. Might be back to try out their dim sum about which everyone seems to rave.

The veggies were well seasoned and still had a nice bite while being cooked through. Rice is typical Chinese rice that doesn't clump together (tasted fresh and that it was cooked that day too), and the tofu pudding was delicious (nice and silky with a sweet ginger syrup). Would love to come in-person next time to try their other dishes!

The pork is covered with thick batter. It is neither crispy nor flavorful. We also had the honey walnut shrimp. The shrimps were big but there's too much mayo on it. But I like that the shrimps lay on top of steamed broccoli. Also ordered Tofu with veggies dish which was decent. It's my first time here so I don't know whether it's a fluke or it's just a different chef, or the regular chef has an 'off' day. The place is really nice though with pretty tablecloths and nice chair covers. Service is good. But overall -- for a Chinese restaurant- it all boils down to the taste of the food. Maybe I'll give it another try in the future. We'll see.

They will ask for the party size and reply back with a number (ticket number) that you will talk to the host when you arrive. If the table is not ready yet, they will hand you the physical ticket number. I think it was maybe 5 minutes tops before we got seated, so while my group arrived and I parked, it was about time we got the table. There were maybe 100 people waiting outside, so do not be put off by it, as the restaurant is pretty huge, with a front room and back room. We got various dim sum, of course including har gow and siu mai. The dim sum quality here is pretty good, and I loved that they still do the push cart dim sum as most places abstracted that out in favor of standard paper menu ordering. It feels more traditional and you get to see the dim sum before committing to it. We got a bunch of dishes to share, and even ventured out of the ordinary including intestines and bell pepper shrimp paste, and even those are solid. It takes a while to flag down a server and requires multiple follow-ups to get what we need. We flagged down 5 separate times before finally getting iced water, which is unacceptable since while Chinese restaurants like these have poor service in inattentiveness, at least you get service quickly if you flag down someone. The only way we were able to get service is for me to talk to them in Cantonese, so when it is busy and you try to ask for something in English, forget it.

I wanted congee and was told that I had to order a larger portions off the regular menu even though it was also on the dim sum menu. The congee was a bit watered down and lacked fresh ginger slices so I wouldn't order again. We also got the offal soup and the flavor was on point. Not for everyone, but we liked it and mixing it with the congee helped bring more flavor to that dish. The siu mai was pretty good too. In total, a pretty good experience. I would come back and try other things next time.

We also got the radish cake, shumai, sticky rice in lotus leaf, shrimp rice rolls, and deep-fried shrimp-stuffed eggplant. Everything was good, but I especially loved the radish cake and the deep-fried eggplant with shrimp. The radish cake had such a great texture and a rich, savory flavor. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the chunks of meat paired so well with it. Easily one of the best radish cakes I've had at a dim sum place. Finding the Real Deal: Dim Sumlicious is the Authentic Yum Cha Las Vegas Has Been Missing…read moreLas Vegas has no shortage of Chinese restaurants, but anyone who's grown up going to yum cha knows the difference between dim sum done right and dim sum done for tourists. I've been on a quiet, slightly obsessive hunt across this city for the genuine article -- the kind of Sunday morning experience that transports you straight to a bustling Hong Kong tea house. And friends, I found it. It's called Dim Sumlicious, and the name does not lie. The moment the first bamboo basket hit our table, I knew this was different. Dim Sumlicious has a chef with over 30 years of experience honing his craft in Hong Kong, and it shows in every single bite. This isn't the frozen-and-steamed shortcut situation you'll find at so many spots around town. These are handmade, skillfully executed classics that carry the weight of real tradition behind them. The har gow wrappers had that perfect translucent delicacy -- thin enough to see through, sturdy enough to hold. The siu mai were plump and properly seasoned. The char siu bao, both baked and steamed, hit every note I was hoping for. Cart after cart brought something worth ordering, and nothing disappointed. But beyond the food, what struck me about Dim Sumlicious was the atmosphere of care. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable -- a rarity in a city where restaurants can feel like they're processing customers on a conveyor belt. If you're a dim sum devotee who's been settling for "pretty good," your search is over. Dim Sumlicious is the real deal -- no asterisks, no caveats. Make a reservation, bring the whole family, and go hungry. Las Vegas finally has its yum cha moment. Don't sleep on it.
