Our company has used Papillion Glass for several years. They went under a different management here…read morein the last few months. I have been nothing but disappointed in there performance since. They had always given our company a very fair rate and Quality Quick Service. That is no longer the case. I have long waits for glass and they never wrap the glass in paper, expecting me to put this in my car with leather interior, unprotected by a paperwrapping. The final straw was when I last picked up glass they had grossly overcharged me. When I questioned it, they did refund a small portion of my money but by the time I went to use the glass it had snapped in half because it was not protected by paper. It's very unfortunate since it was a good and smooth Running Company when Punky was there and now since her grandsons took over, they price gouge and do substandard work. I did call and talk with John who sits at the front desk to explain my frustrations and he brushed me off, so, See you later; I'll never be back.

When they finished, the doors looked great, but I found the alarm system did not work on one of the doors. I discovered the contactor and wire had been pinched off when the door frame was reinstalled. I called the alarm company who told me only way to replace the contactor was to remove the door frame again and fish more wire down through the top. Excel came back out and with great effort, fixed the problem. It's important to recognize when a company comes back to make things right when an issue arises. Excel did exactly that. Not only was one of my windows mismeasured the first time they came out, it took two months to finally get the custom window ordered, but when they showed up to install it, they brought one window that was too big and another one that was too small for my existing frame. After speaking with Nick the owner and expressing my frustration at not getting on their calendar in a timely manner to address their mistake, he literally said I was "welcome to give it a shot myself" and told me to come down to their office and make the calls to the customers myself explaining why my project had to take priority and handle the scheduling myself. Not only that, but when I complained that the second window being too small was causing my trim to no longer lineup properly he tried to tell me that this was a common practice, and that I was responsible to paint, caulk, and purchase new blinds because mine no longer fit the incorrectly measured one; to this, I simply have to ask how they were able to do the first of the two windows perfectly fine without having to adjust or purchase new blinds yet the second time they tried it was apparently impossible for them to get it right. Purely unprofessional from start to finish. My advice; stay away and work with them at your own peril UPDATE: despite their outright lie, Nick the owner literally did state I was more than welcome to be the one to call their own customers and explain why my project needed to be done first. Apparently they're willing to lie on a public forum to cover themselves and their outright disdain for their customers.

Wife's SUV needed a new front windshield after a rock impact turned ugly. I was referred to Metro…read moreGlass by my insurance agent, and made a late-morning appointment. This was a self-pay replacement. I showed up earlier than the appointment time and the vehicle was quickly taken into the shop. Rick, the owner was present, accommodating, ensured I was comfortable and offered to drive me somewhere if I needed. The two ladies working the front office were helpful and friendly. There are large windows inside the shop so you can see what's being done to your vehicle. After a few hours, the vehicle was ready to drive. The new windshield was optically clear, and everything was sealed up nice and tight. The old windshield had aftermarket tint across the top, which, for an additional charge, was re-done on the new windshield prior to installation by a tint shop around the corner that Metro does business with. That saved me from having to get it re-done separately and cost about the same as "my" tint guy would've charged me. Everything about this windshield replacement was excellent. I would highly recommend Metro Glass, and I will return should the need arise. Rick also has a few nice used vehicles for sale in the shop, and if I were in the market, I would've happily taken the pristine Lexus IS250 that was there at the time.

The receptionist was very friendly and very helpful in finding a time that worked for me that fit into their schedule. I got there and the man who I would have assumed to be the owner came out and took a look at my windshield. My chips were extremely small but I still wanted to get it fixed before it got worse and he said there was nothing to repair but he would fill in the chips for free of charge. I only knew of one but he saw a second one right away. The inside was nice, there was a vending machine for pop and some kid toys. The chairs were obviously old but I was only there for 10 min so it was fine. The receptionist was very helpful also. I asked her for a quote for my moms car and she was glad to look that up for me. When my car was done the man drove it back around front for me and showed me exactly what he did and I was on my way!
