What should have been a relatively straightforward repair appears to have been sold at an extremely inflated price. My biggest issue isn't just the cost--it's that the technician was dealing with someone who wasn't familiar with garage door repairs and was put in a position where she had to trust their recommendation. The price quoted was so far beyond what many other companies charge that it felt predatory. We were never given the impression that this was an unusually expensive repair, nor were we encouraged to seek a second opinion. Had we known the typical market rate, we would never have agreed to the work at that price. I strongly encourage anyone considering A1 Garage Door to get multiple quotes before approving any repair. I called him on a Wednesday afternoon and he was able to make it out the following day by noon. He gave us a diagnosis with reasonable options for repair and maintenance, and he reprogrammed the opener; plus, he answered all of the questions I had. On top of that he gave us several recommendations to help prolong the life of our garage door that is 23 years old and still going strong! We are so satisfied with his work. Our door is working great again, and having our spare opener again is also a game changer. Jorge was efficient, responsive, friendly, and reasonable.
