We have worked with Rafter P on several projects since 2018. They built a large shop for my husband's car hobby/addiction that was completely custom & it came out exactly as he wanted. We had a neighbor who did not like the idea of the shop going in on our property and made the process really unpleasant, but Rafter P worked with us every step of the way, even when we made last minute changes to appease the neighbor. Rafter P also poured a gorgeous new driveway for us that leads to the house and new shop. I wanted it stamped and stained, and they let me customize the entire thing. The picture I attached is our new farm equipment barn on another property. I cannot stress how accommodating Rafter P has been during the entire process. They go above and beyond taking care of their customers and their customers' property. Once this shop is done, they will be building a custom cabin for us on the same property. I literally show them my Pinterest daydreams, and they make it all happen. During all of this, we had a water line break during the last freeze at our home & a plumber had to cut into our daughter's bathroom to repair it. We asked Rafter P if they could come out to do repairs & within 2 days they were at work. They are doing work for us at 2 job sites simultaneously without hesitation. We have worked with so many contractors in the past & not one has been so accommodating, friendly, or accessible. I haven't even mentioned the quality of their work. Impeccable. And if anything they install is faulty or not quite right, they will make it right and will not waste time getting things done. At first the process was smooth and seemed to be going well. This was until the money got involved. Rafter P will not give you solid numbers, every quote was different, and by a large percentage. They refused to give me a price per square foot, that number would change as well. It was a bunch of funny math that never added up. Based on what I know, now that I am working with a respected builder, Rafter P has a giant mark up, you are paying for their huge overhead costs. They will not refund any of your money if you choose to not build with them. Do not build with them, Do no sign any contact with them, I would not recommend them at all. read more

After getting quotes from several other builders, it is evident that Rafter P is quoting much higher prices to cover their extensive overhead. They are using the excuse of higher building material cost to gouge their customer base. Received their quote which was 300K higher than what was quoted at face on interview. Breakdown indicates seperate charges for shell and finish out. Break down is $114/square foot on porches and barn... quoted $30-40 / sq./ft. on porches and barn. Lots of smoke and mirrors. $580k for a 2200 sq/ft. home with 900 sq/ft. barn....Buyer beware! read more

Installed a metal building for us in 2005, had some issues and they were not interested in fixing them. Also they took all extra materials for the building so we had to order material to fix. Now 2018 we have had some leaks and radiant heat barrier insulation falling down, the new contractor found the buildings foam insulation furnished by Mueller was not installed in several places causing wind and rain to get under insulation. I would NOT recommend Rafter P Construction to anyone. read more

Not interested in jobs in my price range of $50k for a workshop. Original phone experience was great. No follow up phone calls, never received a bid after I provided specifications. I also called asking on status of bid and salesman wouldn't take my call. Had admin tell me they were still working on it. I got the impression my job isn't big enough or high end enough. read more
