It was in great shape and shifted perfectly. Mike gave me directions to the Resurrection Trail via a road and the Bean Creak trail. I rode just over twenty miles and had a blast. The trail was great and did not disappoint. Mike was awesome and it was a great day.

Mike did a great job showing us how to use the bikes and explaining what to expect for us first timers. We tested out the different settings, and we were each able to find that "sweet spot". The bikes are in great condition and the helmets we very comfortable. We had 3 mountain bikes, and one cruiser. Zero issues keeping up with each other (I rode the cruiser), and the cruiser did fantastic on this trip -- probably the comfiest ride! I chose the electric bike as I wanted to take in the scene instead of having to huff and puff and peddling the entire time. While he gathered the bikes that we would need the process for a waiver was very easy and it's a QR code that you can do on your phone. You have to pay for your rental before leaving so by the time you come back, you drop it off and it was a very smooth process. The bikes are very well kept, and there is a number on the bike in case you do have any questions or something Has happened then we were given a pretty good easy trail to do in the amount of time that we paid for. I definitely recommend it. It's an easy process and I have absolutely no complaints about this place.

These parking spots are not really enforced by Alaska PD, unlike the Easy park meters that are third party private monitored and continually ticketed. Great bike great ride. I brought my bike here for a bent rim and they had it fixed within 4 days during the busy summertime. They charged $50. Their road bike inventory is super limited compared to their mountain bike inventory, but they can order anything online and have it shipped to their store for assembly. The prices are reasonable and their staff is always very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Eklutna Lake is a special place and worth about a 20 minute (one way) detour off the main highway…read morebetween Anchorage and Denali. The drive itself is very scenic and once you arrive at the lake area, there's an obvious day use area where you can park and use the pay machines for day use fees. I didn't do much of the trail, as I was heading north to Denali but did spend about 45 minutes or so walking the rocky shoreline and taking in the amazing views. There are a number of trails to explore here as well as kayaking and guided hikes. It's a glacier fed lake and also serves as a water supply for Anchorage. Alaska has no shortage of wonders and it's pretty special that you can drive a short distance from its largest city and arrive to a place like Eklutna Lake. Carry bear spray-sightings are common though we didn't see any.

We didn't hike the full trail, just went about a mile up and back along the lake from the parking…read morelot, but even that short stretch was worth it for the views. There were plenty of spots along the old dirt road where you could step closer to the water and really take in the scenery. There were mosquitoes, but we came prepared with bug spray, so it wasn't too bad. Looking back, we probably would've enjoyed kayaking more. The lake was calm and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. Even just sitting by the water felt peaceful. If we go back, we're skipping the hike and getting out on the lake.

My friend unfortunately got a bike without the guards and her bottom was wet for the rest of that day. Were paid $60 for two bikes for a few hours.
