I had hired this contractor to renovate my house and add a detached garage. I had assumed a…read moreconstruction loan for this project which would not pay until an invoice was sent, and an inspection was completed. I had to pay for each inspection individually. Me being a contractor, in a different field, had knowledge of the proper order of procedure for this project to be completed properly. In the initial meeting, addressing the issue of a dip in the floor was my main concern. I was assured that it was no problem. When it came time to the actual repair, he told me that he did not know how to fix it. So, I had to fix it myself. Also, I had to go back over his extremely shotty workmanship on the sheet rock, the painting, and the plumbing as he continued to drag his feet through this project over an 8-month period. He constantly wanted me to pay him before the actual payment was sent from the lender. Which I did to help him out because of his lack of funds. Big red flag! He was unable to keep the proper information and paperwork to the lender, in a timely manner, to keep the payments flowing. Needing to move back in, I worked nights and weekends, in the house, to get it to livable conditions. I paid his last invoice of nearly 12,000.00 and have not been reimbursed from the lender because of his lack of completion of just the renovation itself. After being ghosted for a couple of months, he finally responded with a text stating that it was too much of a hassle to send invoices and have his work inspected before payment. The garage was never even started. I have wires for the exterior lights hanging out of my house. I tried my best to help this fellow to complete this project by buying and delivering materials, cleaning up his constant messes, going over his work, paying him out of my pocket, and being patent with his procrastination of completing just the renovation. I hope no other homeowner has to go through this. Beware!

I would have happily paid another company a couple extra hundred dollars to not have my property damaged. We had some siding replaced and soffits, and both were treated as an after thought. They left my driveway with huge gouges from the dumpster, and a big dent in the case of our brand new heating and air unit. When asked about the damage all I got was "Oh I'm sorry to hear about that." So too bad for me I guess. The siding guys were finishing up when I paid the owner and asked that they caulk around some of the siding with big gaps. He said "no problem"... took the money and his guys were gone before he was out of our culdesac. No caulking. I also had informed him that I was having more work done and needed access to the back yard (tree removal and privacy fence). It took nearly a week for me to get them to take their pallet of unused materials from blocking the way to the back yard, and just hours before the tree guys were scheduled to show up. The moral of the story = roof ok, any thing else go another way.

When we had enough and asked him to finish the paint job that he was fully paid for and we would complete the project at a later time he came to our home gathered his tools and left without completing the job. I have receipts showing he was paid in full, video of the state of our home, text messages and contract to prove all of this. Save yourself the headache and hire someone else. He has multiple names for his business and recently merged with his wife using Navy & Grey designs! He verbally quoted me $1,500 for an IKEA laminate counter kitchen installation. The cost of the IKEA laminate counter (3 pieces) was only $300. I felt the $1,500 was a bit high but I was having trouble finding someone to install laminate and Victor seemed knowledgeable regarding my project. The project should have taken a day, but Victor was extremely slow. He also let me know he now charges hourly. After day one, he was still setting up his equipment and adjusting my an ikea kitchen drawers which he claimed were off. Not much more done on day 2, day 3, finally started cutting counter tops. I asked him repeatedly where were were on price which he said he would let me know but did not. The evening before he did the actual install on my counter he sent me a text stating he was at $4,500. I was could not even believe this. I did not respond until the next day when he arrived. I had a conversation with him regarding the price he was now charging, he said he had to adjust some cabinets, I did not even pay that much to have my whole IKEA kitchen installed! I knew he was going to leave me is a mess, no counter, sink, etc. I told him to finish and when he was done, I tried to talk with him again about the original $1,500 estimate to now $4,500. He got very heated, so I gave him a check for the full amount which I so regret now but I was uncomfortable with his reaction and wanted him to leave my home. Please beware and don't make the same mistakes I did by hiring Victor who took total advantage of me and he knows it.
