Toilet room floor

What a s--thole! Dirty, food horrid. Staff doesn't care. Took 2 1-2 hours to get required meds. They moved fast and efficient enough when I said I was leaving and the knew they weren't getting paid. The owners and management should be embarrassed. Saw staff yelling at informed patients. Place is just filthy, mold in shower, crud in corners. Room not cleaned in the two days I was there. Breakfast one morning was oatmeal, a stale mini don't and a rubbery hard boiled egg! These people just don't care!!!

Swollen maybe broken wrist that has not gotten adequate care

Having once been in the seminary and a pastoral minister, I've been in and out of a lot of nursing home senior living facilities. This place is tops! Really! All the staff are extraordinarily kind, warm, patient (no pun intended) and attentive to the needs of the residents. My mom couldn't have been better cared for. They always looked in on her to make sure she was alright. They treated mom (Marie) with dignity and respect, patience and kindness. Although once sponsored by the Lutheran Church, they have a very Catholic presence. The Diocese of Cleveland provides a priest to offer Mass there every Sunday, and they have a wonderful sister (nun) from Africa who is the coordinator. When mom died, I gave her whatever she wanted from her room. The food seemed adequate. But the most important thing was the atmosphere of real care and concern. It's nothing short of remarkable.

The employees we encountered were very friendly and warm, and my grandma agreed, saying that they have been treating her very nicely. Grandma said the food is wonderful, and the choices are plentiful (this speaks volumes considering she is used to being the one cooking for everyone for most of her life!) The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Well manicured lawns, plants and flowers, and plenty of space for walking the grounds outside and enjoying sitting in outdoor areas. There are a lot of comfy common areas, complete with plenty of space to watch TV, listen to music, play piano, or read a book. They have birds in a large enclosure, a small aquarium, and greenhouse as well. They even provide a lot of enrichment for the patients, like live music, buffets, shopping, and exercise. The cleanliness of her bathroom (and overall of the home) was hotel-like in nature and didn't feel like (or even smell) like your typical old folks home. Overall, I would trust and recommend Lutheran home to anyone needing to stay here for a short term or long term stay.

This went on for every visit so I found a different place for my therapy. According to my insurance I had payed .74 over what I owed them on July 2, well i keep getting a bill for 1.19 text, email, and mail. When I called after the fourth time of trying to talk to someone they said I owed the money and when I asked for a supervisor she said "you want a supervisor on a Friday morning?" i said yes. When she came back to he phone she said the super told her they would take care of my balance. Nice of them since according to my insurance I OWED THEM 0. Will not go back there ever and won't recommend them to anyone.

My therapist, Lauren, is a pelvic floor specialist. She is highly knowledgeable, caring, and personable. I can't sing enough praises for her! She had done extensive research and networking to learn more about my conditions to help me in my recovery. The tools and exercises she prescribed are effective and showing improvements. I am very grateful. I would highly recommend NovaCare and Lauren to anyone who is struggling with physical issues and wish to get better.

This was the worst experience I have ever had in a hospital and it could not have happened at a…read moreworse time - as my mom was dying in a hallway of the ER as there was not a bed or room available. Mom was in failing health and trying to rehab at the Brookside rehab center very close by. When it became clear she needed to go to the hospital, Brookside did not have transport available so the ambulance had to be called - so we had no choice but to have her go to St Johns. We would have never had wanted or picked to go here. Mom arrived around 6 AM. My brother got there at 7 AM. She was on a gurney in and out of consciousness in a hallway of the ER. There were twice as many people waiting to be seen in the ER than they had room for. She was tucked in next to the blanket warmer with one chair nearby. My brother stayed with her - around 4 PM he called me in Columbus to tell me there was nothing they could do - that she needed to go to hospice. But of course, hospice had no room for her. I packed my bags and got to the ER at 6:30 PM. She was still parked in the same spot. There was not room for us to be with her or we would be blocking traffic. My sister in law arrived a little later then my nephew and his girlfriend. We took turns standing near Mom and had to openly display our grief as we comforted each other and spent time with Mom. My SIL is a nurse and finally had had enough. After almost 14 hours on a gurney in the hallway in ER, my SIL advocated enough to get her sent to a private room. Once settled in the room, the staff was able to clean her up and get her comfortable. There was a breakroom near her room that we took turn hanging out in as it was too crowded for us in the room. My other nieces and nephew-in-law showed up during the night. The next job was to get her over to hospice. While we at least had some privacy to deal with our grief, it still was not as nice as the nearby hospice facility my dad had died at. Around 6 pm, they finally were able to transport her. I highly recommend you go some place else if you have any option. Even if you're dying, this is not a good place to go.
