Having once been in the seminary and a pastoral minister, I've been in and out of a lot of nursing home senior living facilities. This place is tops! Really! All the staff are extraordinarily kind, warm, patient (no pun intended) and attentive to the needs of the residents. My mom couldn't have been better cared for. They always looked in on her to make sure she was alright. They treated mom (Marie) with dignity and respect, patience and kindness. Although once sponsored by the Lutheran Church, they have a very Catholic presence. The Diocese of Cleveland provides a priest to offer Mass there every Sunday, and they have a wonderful sister (nun) from Africa who is the coordinator. When mom died, I gave her whatever she wanted from her room. The food seemed adequate. But the most important thing was the atmosphere of real care and concern. It's nothing short of remarkable.

The second I walked into the facility, I knew it was the right choice. It's bright, clean, and beautiful, with a gorgeous garden patio to visit with your loved one. My sister is doing so much better here. She is clean, more relaxed, and the sores she acquired at Rae-Ann Westlake which were not healing, are healing so much better already! Everyone there from nurses, administrative staff, to aides are amazing. Friendly and competent! I visit at different times of the day and every time I've gone I see staff treating her with respect, kindness, and gentleness. Its a beautiful place with sunlight and beautiful views from everywhere! I just knew in my gut it was the best decision we have ever made to move her from Rae Ann Westlake (horrible) to Rae Ann Suburban, and I was so right. I feel confident and at peace with my sister there.

northwestern healthcare center in berea ohio is a 5 plus star facility. the staff are…read morecompassionate, skilled, empathetic and skilled from housekeeping, dietary, nursing, stna and administration. the activity director and personnel has each day full of excitement, hands on, and memory activities. residents get to meet and greet others , go on outings to shop or to eat. the occupational and physical staff department are one of the highest rated in ohio. they took an unresponsive, stomach tube, veteran. and gave him a new life. he feeds himself. walks over 800 plus feet and can brush his teeth and do daily hygiene. he only needs minimal assistance which is given when needed. they listen when he is upset and don't judge or over medicate him as was done in a previous healthcare center. this healthcare center rating should be 100 plus stars. a healthcare center that treats everyone with respect, compassion and respect. all who are a part of this group residents staff etc are vip's

Every person there I have been in contact with has been forthcoming with any questions I may have & react quickly with any requests I have as well as keeping me updated on his actions & state of mind. She rang the buzzer 20 minutes before she called me. She recently had a hip replacement surgery and could not get up without assistance. She had to use the restroom and ended up soiling herself because it was at least ONE HOUR before an aide came to assist her. I got there 45 minutes after her calling me and the aide was finally there helping her! I got a little loud and said how would you like it if you had to wait that long and don't you think it would make your job easier if you didn't make her wait!? Now you have to clean up sh*t! I also was told that 6 aides will be on the schedule to work a shift and they are lucky if 3 of them show up to work! I would never recommend this place because of this.
