My boyfriend and I stayed at Radisson Blu for 5 nights for the first leg of our 3 week Paris trip. I found the hotel through Hotels.com/Expedia, and the selling point for me was the room with the balcony and partial view of the Arc de Triomphe. I wanted to stay somewhere along or around Champs-Elysees since we would be spending New Year's Eve there, and I found in my research of Paris NYE that you want to be at the Arc for the countdown. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could see the peak of the Eiffel Tower from my balcony as well, which was a huge plus.
I had an overall comfortable stay at Radisson Blu. You can't beat the location. It was a 2 minute walk from Champs-Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe, 5 minutes from the nearest metro, and a nice 25 minute walk to the Eiffel tower.
We got a "Superior Room." There was a bigger room option with a bigger balcony, which was obviously more expensive, so I was a bit worried by the size of the Superior Room based on the pictures. I was very happy with the size of our room. In fact, it felt quite spacious especially after reading about how small living quarters can be in Paris. We were able to set our 4 luggage to the side and walk around freely in the room. I loved the bed and pillows. We slept really well the entire time without any complaints of stiffness. If I had to be nit-picky about anything, I did feel that the room was dim even with all the lights on. Or maybe orange light is just the thing here. The bathroom was tiny. You can tell it's aged, but at least it was clean and the grout didn't appear to be moldy or gross. I used the toiletries provided and felt that they were decent quality. read more
