I chose this hotel because it was close to the airport. My friend and I flew in at different times and were leaving the next day for Madeira. I tentatively booked this hotel for later in our vacation but I wanted to make sure it was nice enough to return. Needless to say, I did end up staying here again and I even recommended this hotel to another friend we were meeting on the end lag of our trip. The hotel is about a 10min ride from the airport & it's super easy to get an Uber/Lyft. The website does say they have a free airport shuttle but I found out it's only from 6-10am (I believe) and come every 30mins. I emailed to reserve the shuttle but no one ever got back to me. I remember a rep told me that it's very easy to just call for a ride and that there's a taxi stand right out in front of the lobby. I ended up using a Bolt/Lyft all the time. It's very reasonable in Lisbon! The lobby waiting area is big, there's a restaurant inside, and the staff was very pleasant. There is a weight ma ch one for your luggage as well but it's 1 euro. The rooms were spacious enough for two people. The beds & pillows were comfortable enough. They do offer shampoo, conditioner, & body wash. I do wish they had USB chargers close to the beds instead of by the tv. If you have a universal plug adaptor, make sure you have a long cord for your cellphone. Also, I never understood the 1/3 glass partition in the shower. It's hard to shower without splashing water on the floor. I never understood that about Europe. For the price and convenience to the airport, I would definitely stay here again. read more

I chose this hotel because I had to catch an early flight the next day at Lisbon Airport. The hotel its about a couple of miles from the airport, and an uber ride costs around €10 these days. I should mention the Campo Grande subway station, that serves both green and yellow line, is just across the highway in front on the hotel. You can easily get to the "old city center" and many touristic points from here. Staff at the reception were pretty nice. Got the superior room, that was very spacious, with two queen beds, and a little living room area. More than enough room for my family of four. There was complimentary water and apples, but also some sodas and beers in the minifridge. Large tv with several channels, an electric water boiler and an iron and board. Bathroom was also large, with double vanity, a tub & shower and even a bidet. Overall, I think this is a decent place to stay, everything seemed well kept, but you can tell this is an old hotel. Not in a bad way tho, it had like a "vintage" charm to it. Both the restaurant and lobby bar seemed very lively, but unfortunately I didnt have the chance to eat or drink anything there. read more

Catching up on review drafts from a while back! Stayed here for a few nights in April 2022, felt the overall stay was satisfactory, the location is very close to the airport, about a 10 minute drive to the arrivals/departure terminals. Considering the shortish distance to Lisboa Oriente train station, a major train station on the east side of town--a 12 minute drive--it's a fairly convenient location if you plan on taking public transportation to other cities in Portugal. Not necessarily the closest to old town Lisbon, though considering the smaller size of the city and the relative convenience of public transit, it was nice to stay in a quieter part of town, closer to residential neighborhoods. The nearest metro station is about a 8-10 minute walk away, and there are some bus lines available too. Tickets can be purchased at machines in the metro station. Walking into the lobby it gives off 70s corporate chic vibes, marble floors, walls and walnut wood paneling. The front desk is on the right with seating on the left. Directly past the front desk on the right there's an alcove space with a small business center work area (a couple computers, a printer and chairs). Walking further back into the hotel there's a fully stocked bar, dining tables and buffet dining seating. Downstairs are conference rooms available for booking. The room I stayed in had a view of the back of the building (and in general there's nothing particularly scenic around the nearby area), though inside was fairly spacious and comfortable compared to your average city-center European hotel. There were two sinks in the bathroom and a bidet, a full size bathroom tub w/ shower. The bedroom had a normal queen-sized bed, a small table, tv (though I didn't watch it), a safe in the closet. Water pressure was good and there was sufficient hot water. Overall room and sheets were clean. I did appreciate that there is a luggage scale in the front lobby which you don't often see in hotels. You can also schedule airport pickup and drop off at certain hours of the day. read more

This hotel is clean. The employees are courteous, they speak English it was helpful because I don't speak Portuguese. The breakfast buffet, have a large variety of hot and cold food, fresh fruits, cheese bar, juice bar pineapple, orange, apple juice and a good fresh ground coffee. The room was small. Well situated near the airport and train station. The furnitures are old, if they can change the furniture I can assure they will be able to get the 5 stars. read more

BEWARE OF RATE CONVERSION TRICKS As everyone knows, you pay with Euros instead of dollars to get a favorable rate. Not a simple matter at Radisson Blu. I told the receptionist explicitly that I wanted to pay in Euros AND chose the euro button on one of the portable machines they use now to process credit card payments. In spite of that the lady pressed some keys after that and gave me a receipt in dollars. Upon my complaint she mumbled something (... automatic, ... software .... blah blah). What are you going to do, call the police? The end result? A 3.5% markup. Note also that the reservation doc was in Euros. read more

My wife and I recently stayed in this hotel the night before we were to fly back home. Our room very finally cooled down around 10:00 pm. Anyway the next morning we ate in their restaurant before heading out to the airport. For some reason we were under the impression it was free but let's say we were mistaken. So we ate and it was sub-par but ok. Now I'm watching a guy next to us eating a lot and rolling up food apparently for later in the day. Ok good for him I thought. He did that because of the price for the morning buffet which was $15.50 Euros or $18.00 US per person. If you have ever been to Portugal that would be a joke for breakfast. So I was hit with a $36.00 bill for breakfast when we was checked out. Here is free advice don't stay there. read more

I booked this hotel for the day 9am-3pm because I had an early flight and wanted to be able to take a shower and don't worry about my suitcases I have to say that it wasn't the best experience of my life The check in was painful with a very rude staff. I saw other reviews mentioning the same problem. Therés always an answer from the hotel direction like " I am glad your enjoyed your stay, thank you for your feedback it will help us to keep improving " Because the bad reviews about the front desk are pilling they obviously are not trying very hard to fix it The hotel is always due for a major refreshing, the room we had was really far from the picture (1980 carpet instead of hardwood floor, no king size, ...) There's a lot of great hotels in Lisboa, I can't find a single reason to book an hotel like this one read more

I have to admit upfront: I did not pay for this room. But I did use reward points to book our stay, so I just didn't pay in traditional means. This hotel is north of the heart of Old Town & Central Lisbon, but is just minutes from the airport. They offered a free shuttle to the airport and considering we had an early departure planned, that was one of key needs. We arrived way before typical check in time since we had taken the train overnight from Madrid, but they were able to accommodate us and let us in our room. The room was spacious with a seating area and desk with the ability to open the window to let the breeze in. The bathroom was quite spacious and had the standard bidet that we don't see so much of in the states. The shower had a nice glass panel instead of the traditional curtain, but it was quite shallow as it was hard not to get water on the floor. Something I had not encountered previously, but liked once I got used to it, was you used your room key to turn the lights on in the room. It was quite comical trying to figure that one out, but we eventually did. And I liked the wood floors as opposed to the usual carpet. Somehow, it made the room feel cleaner. All the staff we encountered were quite pleasant and willing to help us with anything we needed. While I don't know if it would be my first choice, this hotel would definitely be in the top three for consideration if we ever make it back to Portugal. read more

As others have said, one star is too many. This place is a dump. Smells moldy and mildew'y in the halls and room. The room looked like it was hit by an earthquake. None of the draws or doors were square or aligned. Looks like a child put it together. One member of our party saw rats in the halls. Worst Radisson I ever stayed in. I am hesitant to even give them this One star even !!!!! We are in a huge group of approximately 50 people. We showed up at the reception to check in and had absolutely no help with any of our suitcases. As we are all standing in line to check in, A guest was frantically begging them to call police. They were a sweet couple who had stepped out for a few hours and come back to their room only to have been robbed. Apparently someone had broken into the room and suitcases and stolen their valuables. The staff to my dismay was extremelyunhelpful and did not do anything to appease this irate couple. It made us all extremely uneasy given that we were just checking in and to hear that Our valuables may be in jeopardy. The hotel isn't very fancy at all. It is extremely outdated and dingy. Our entire group went downstairs to eat at the restaurant. It definitely was the worst service I received an a by long time. I specifically told them I was vegetarian, and they still put bacon on my salad. When I requested them to check, I got attitude. The vegetarian pasta which is my only option was in fact pretty good.when we're done with our meals we asked to go boxes so we could take the remainder of my food with us. We were told by the staff that this is against our policy. I have a net restaurants around the world and I think that is the most change thing ever. I would not recommend this hotel or restaurant to anyone ever. Do yourself a favor and never visit this establishment. read more

This hotel is awful! We are platinum members of the Radisson Rewards program and we used a LOT of points to book 2 rooms for our family. I was pleased upon arrival, with the look of the hotel and the gentleman that checked us in. It was completely downhill from there. The rooms smell awful and at one point I stopped to tell them it smelled like sewage in our room. My husband tried to use the iron/board and it fell right out of the wall just while the iron was heating up. Given the fact this was a Radisson Blu with suites I under packed thinking I'd be able to wash some laundry. Wow, was I wrong!! I stopped to ask Carmen if there was a laundry facility we could use, she smirked and told me we'd have to pay the amount on their list to have items washed (3.10 euros per pair of socks and we're a family of 7, oh and 7.80 euros for 1 shirt, even a kids shirt!!!). I think asked Carmen if we could just pay a flat rate and have an entire small load done, or if I could pay them a flat rate and do the laundry MYSELF, rude smirks and attitude followed from Carmen. This was not the only encounter we had with Carmen where she was unprofessional and unfriendly with someone from my group. Carmen should not be working at the front desk of any hotel, ever! The conceriege guys were great every time we needed them! The cleaners, while nice, were also terrible at their jobs. One time, the head maid knocked once then walked right in without giving me time to answer the door. AND we were all sick and laying around in the room, my husband had just gotten out of the shower even. Every day they came, and every day they'd forget to replace something.. the water, the toilet paper, the sanitary bags, something. There's an evening bartender that tried to charge me gratuity on drinks. There were 3 of us sitting there and he ADDED gratuity to my bill. I feel like I tip appropriately but I'm not giving you a single cent if you force it on me. Some of the wait staff wasn't very nice either. On my second room the dirty dishes (2 mugs and 2 glasses were in the room upon arrival) were never replaced, nor the water that's supposed to be free. They also never took the dirty washclothes from the room and replaced with clean ones. My mother took the tray full of dirty stuff and laid it down stairs since no one would take them. Needless to say, we were NEVER stay there again, feel like we wasted 700k points, and would NEVER recommend it to anyone!! read more
