There is a small restaurant off the main lobby. The room I had was small but sufficient for my needs. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Included with the price of my hotel room was an excellent buffet breakfast. The room in which the buffet is held has a view of the inside of the soccer stadium which was quite interesting. The food options are very varied, with both hot and cold foods available. There were cheeses, fish (including caviar paste!), meats (both hot and cold cuts), eggs, cereals, yogurts, fruits, bread and pastries, coffee, tea, juices, hot chocolate and freshly squeezed orange juice. Definitely make time for breakfast. Overall a very nice hotel, just a bit far from downtown Oslo, but with the excellent public transport system it's well located both by bus and train (as well as for the shuttle bus that takes you to and from the airport)

Our rate included the lavish breakfast buffet with loads of choices as well as a few made to order items like eggs Benedict and something I've never seen in Europe-bagels! It was delicious and had so many fun local foods we were excited for every morning (that barley pudding was amazing!) and there was plenty of seating no matter what time we came downstairs. We truly enjoyed our stay and I would absolutely return on a future trip and check first for Thon hotels in any area we visit next time

Before we headed far north, we stayed a few nights at The Thief in Oslo. Our experience here was so amazing it almost beat out the northern lights! the property is stylish and artsy, our room was GORGEOUS with stunning views, every detail was perfect. The staff was friendly and attentive, from the bartenders to the dining staff. But Juliane, the hospitality manager, really stands out! She was so kind, warm, and sweet. Not only did she give us a guide to the beautiful city, but she also managed to get us a last-minute reservation at an excellent restaurant nearby that originally had no availability. I've stayed in hotels around the world... Do not miss the Thief, it's one of the best stays ever. Thank you so much to Juliane and the rest of the amazing staff here! I can't wait to come back!

Taking the prices into consideration it can save some $$$ if you cook in your room. The rooms also have a balcony for the smokers and to enjoy the sunset with a view. The staff was great and very attentive and I got caught up chatting with the guy at the reception for 30 minutes when I wanted to check out and leave. Great folks. If you are there in winter and like the outdoors and would like to do what the locals do take T1 to Frognerseteren where you can rent a slay and do some sledding. During the weekends half Oslo is up there. During the week it's quieter. You can also do cross country skiing there or just go for a wander. It's great and you have a nice view over the Oslofjord!
