Overall, not a bad experience…read more Making an appointment was super easy, just had to log on to their website and choose an appointment time for the location I wanted. There's a pre-screening application you have to fill out - name, address, insurance, etc. I had to print out a sheet for the lab to fill out. I got a text with check-in instructions and confirmed the appointment while waiting in the parking lot. When the appointment is ready, I got a text to come inside. The lab is on the 2nd floor straight out of the elevator. I was called less than 5 minutes after entering. The lab tech took me back and locked my personal belongings in a box in the bathroom, I guess to prevent fraud? He took my ID and gave me a sample cup for a urine sample, giving me 4 minutes. Again, I guess to prevent fraud. After giving the sample, the tech signed me out on the computer and sent me on my way, saying the results would be sent to my employer in 24 hours. I was in and out in 15 minutes, pretty painless.

My second complaint was, Wendy tells me after I sat there for 20 minutes that their printer was not working and directed me to Fed Ex up the street. Thirdly, after I returned I knocked on the reception window with no response. I sat there for another 20 minutes before Wendy ushered me back. Attitude sour AND did not handle my specimen properly. First thing was I had to ask for my copy of the visit. Second, my specimens was NOT put in their baggy in front of me. Thirdly, my left over urine was left on the back of the sink when I left. Oh, did I mention the BACK printer was working?

I recently suffered a compound open ankle fracture due to an accident caused by a driver who ran a…read morered light. A week into my recovery, the wrap covering my leg from knee to toes began to come loose -- something my doctor said could be carefully re-wrapped, but which would be extremely difficult for me to manage on my own due to the extent of my injuries. I came to OnPoint, expecting to receive a few minutes of basic assistance and was stunned when the clerk conferred with the medical staff and informed me that re-wrapping is "not something they get involved with." When I said that I found it hard to believe they would prefer I go home and attempt this myself rather than offer minimal help, I received only a shrug. Since I can't drive myself -- it is my right ankle that is broken -- I had to arrange to be be taken to AFC Urgent Care on Weslayan, where the staff took a few moments to assess my situation and re-wrapped the loosened area without hesitation. They even invited me to return if the wrap should come loose again before my follow-up appointment. I understand urgent care facilities have limitations, but refusing to spend five minutes assisting a patient with a serious fracture -- particularly one who cannot simply drive herself elsewhere -- reflects poorly on this practice. I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend OnPoint to anyone in a vulnerable sitution.
