I have to buy the odd pair of heavily discounted designer jeans Harvey in the Harvey Nics sale but they are always way too long (and I'm 5'7) so I take them to Unicorn who for under a tenner take the bottom hem off shorten the leg and put the bottom hem back on - and you'd never know the difference. Very clever. Warning though - unless things have changed - it's cash or cheque only so have your readies at the ready, as it were.

These guys are very efficient and if you bring it early enough in the morning they will endeavour to have it ready for you in the same day. I was also very happy that I asked them not to put some of the clothes in the dryer and instead they hung it up to dry for me. I thought that £10 was a little steep at first but then realised its good value for money as the service washes in Wimbeldon are a few £ more.

I told them that the care instructions says that the jacket can be dry cleaned. They informed me that lots of manufacturers put labels on their garments without testing them and this was probably the case with my jacket. They refused to clean the jacket and I took it to a more expensive place, who were happy to take my jacket and clean it. When I got the jacket back guess what it was ruined. I was gutted. Peters and Falla had told me that this would happen and I did not believe them. I have used them ever since because they obviously know what they are doing.
