Thankfully plumbing doesn't go wrong very often but when it does it is the most traumatic thing…read moreever. I have been decorating my bathroom recently, stood on the toilet seat to paint the ceiling and oops - broke the connection from the toilet to the main pipe. So there I am on my own, lying in the toilet with my thumb stuck up a pipe stopping water from free flowing all over the floor of my first floor flat !! Traumatic !! That is when you need the help of a professional, reliable, well priced plumber - enter My Plumber Ltd. With a team of well trained, qualified and experienced plumbers, they are ideal for emergencies, new installations, dripping taps, installing showers, washing machines and the servicing and flushing of existing boilers and installations. If you need a plumber - give Jamie a shout, they won't let you down.

A very professional set up...but it will cost you. I called…read morethese guys out for a replacement of the pipes under my kitchen sink. I also wanted to get an estimate for the cost of a few bits and bobs around the house as they have a handyman service. The plumber was very professional and had a keen eye for the source of a leak under my kitchen sink. He also commented that they dodgy way the developer had set up the pipe work was very cheap which was very true. He carefully replaced the pipework putting in an extra trap on our vegetable sink. The work was completed to a high standard and looked very sturdy. He charged me for two full hours of work though technically he was only working for 1.5 hours and then looking around for another 15 min in regards to the estimate. At £70/hr that really adds up. All in all it cost me £200 which is pretty expensive to replace about 5 pieces of pipe. The handyman service was no cheaper. I wanted some grouting redone in my bathroom and a few tiles to be repaired. The office told me they could send out "the tile guy" to give an estimate. For something that should be fairly straight forward this seemed like a cumbersome step. I explained to the woman in the office that I was just looking for something simple and if it required something involved I would rather wait. She said most jobs were charged at a daily rate of £200 or if it was a simpler job the hourly rate was £70/hr - same as the plumber.

A Running Scam -- A Criminal Scheme of Alarming Scale! It's…read morehard to believe this so-called business is still operating unchecked. For years, it has posed as one of Britain's top plumbing companies while repeatedly defrauding customers. I wish I had read the many negative reviews from others who were scammed just like me. The company displays a distinctive pattern. We called them to replace a simple plastic bath mixer- an attachment -- a very basic fixture that any professional plumber should carry or quickly source. During the initial call, and after paying £156 in advance, for the first hour, I offered to send a photo of the required part. They refused. That should have been the first red flag. Their tactic is simple: arrive, declare they don't have the part, suggest a quick trip to a local DIY shop that predictably doesn't stock it, then "go to Argos" -- consuming most of the paid hour. The plumber never returns but instead sends a follow-up report, suggesting another visit the next day for an additional £200 to "complete the job." In reality, the part is standard -- any competent plumber should either carry it or be able to collect it easily from their office stock. Instead, the company pockets £156 for doing virtually nothing. For reference, they quoted £360 to install a basic shower mixer onto bathtub taps -- a task that's usually straightforward and should not require such inflated costs or deceptive practices. This operation has exploited customers this way for years, as proven by numerous similar online complaints. Avoid these fraudsters and report their scam to Citizens Advice, who can escalate the matter to Trading Standards for investigation.

The most awful service I have ever experienced…read more Apparently, you cannot give 0 stars, which is a shame, as Pimlico do not even deserve 1 star. Incompetent administration, an engineer who lied and a complaints process which is basically them deciding that you are wrong. As others have said it's £150 up front. The engineer turned up, worked about 5 minutes and said everything was fine. 3 days later the leak started again in exactly the same place. Pimlico said I would have to pay again to get someone to look at it and that their engineer had advised a replacement which I had refused and that it was all detailed in the engineer report. Of course, I had never received the engineer report as they had the wrong email address for me, and if I had received it, I would have challenged the false statements the engineer had included in it. I immediately made a complaint, which they dismissed as they had video evidence that supported the fact I was lying about what the engineer told me. They didn't follow their own 3 step complaints process, they are not a member of any external ombudsmen or complaints scheme. So, when they defraud you and dismiss your claim, you have nowhere to go. Oh and of course they later admitted they didn't have any video evidence and claiming they had was a mistake, but they still didn't refund me the £150 or admit any wrongdoing. Literally the worst company I have ever dealt with.

Avoid - carried out unauthorised work and charged me for it…read more I hired Aspect to unblock a drain in my back garden. Their engineers spent a combined 6 hours working on it, costing me over £700. On completion they informed me that the drain had partially collapsed somewhere under another property's garden. We subsequently called out Thames Water who informed us it was "highly likely" that Aspect's engineers had caused the damage and that, as the blockage was outside of my property's boundary, Aspect, as a private contractor, were not authorised to work on the drain and should have stopped work the moment they realised the issue was outside of my boundary. Aspect's engineers are either poorly trained and do not know where they can and cannot legally operate, or they are happy to work on unauthorised drains and charge customers a significant amount of money to do so. My attempts to contact Aspect on this matter have been met with complete silence. This does not indicate of a well well, professional firm. If you are considering Aspect either as a domestic or corporate client, or considering working for them, I would strongly recommend considering other companies.
