After contacting over 10 local contractors to get bids for our bathroom remodel, only 3 actually bothered to respond. One of the responses was from Greg at Racketty Boom. It would be putting it lightly to say he blew the other contractors out of the water. Nearly the moment he stepped foot in our house to see our bathroom project I knew his company was exactly what I was looking for. You can immediately tell that they highly value their customers by the way they communicate with them. Greg responded very quickly to my e-mails, and stayed in constant contact as our project schedule became closer. He was quick to problem solve any issues, and he made us seem like we were his most important customer during our project even though it was a small job. They did an incredibly job with our renovation and their skill was evident, even in the small details of the project. They basically thought of everything. They turned our ugly beige 90's bathroom into a beautiful farm-house inspired piece of art and easily tackled the challenges of our nearly 100 year old house. Most importantly, they are just all around good people with good hearts who do great work. I genuinely enjoyed talking with them, and I think my dog might have wanted to go home with them at the end of the day. After reading the one negative review then interfacing that with the rest, this then after meeting Greg & Rick who showed up to do an estimate, and after deciding to not interview two others i had planned on, I hired these folks on the spot. I knew then that the one negative review they had was one of those people who you just can never please. These gentlemen were perhaps the best, easiest and most skilled and fun people to have to work with that I've ever hired. I should ad that my wife and I are 80 yrs of age. We've hired a good many contractors over the years in keeping our homes up to snuff. Both Greg and Rick were top notch efficient..so much so they finished a half day earlier than they had estimated and even discounted our costs of the original. Addtional highlights: 1. On time. 2. Excellent listeners and engaging. 3. focused on doing a good job insuring the owners were gong to be happy with the outcome---which we were most pleased with. 3. Offered short cuts and solutions when useful, 4. Worked steadily till finished. 5. Super clean-up removing all debris upon completion and 6, always answered the phone personally.
