We came late on a Monday night and were treated extremely rudely, and based on past reviews I definitely believe it has something to do with us being a group of women. We were the only ones in there and the owner and his friends stared us down every time we played. He also started the timer as soon as we walked in and said we wanted to play before we even got the table. He came over to ask us to turn down our music (which was so low he didn't notice for 30+ mins) despite us being the only people in there with radio station ads playing. The tables were $15 an hour and cash only which I personally hate considering it's 2026 and I believe it's outdated. $15 an hour felt especially steep when there is no real music, no drinks, no snacks and no nothing but rude service. I've played pool at dive bars in nicer parts of LA at billaird places for $2 an hour. The owner and his friend mocked us as we played in front of them so I would not say it's beginner friendly. Also I previously came here on a Saturday night when it was packed and because there is zero ventilation there is a certain smell that sticks... Overall I would not recommend this place especially if you are a woman unless you are okay with unwelcoming service

Stopped by on a Sunday night one hour prior to closing and was excited to get a game of pool in…read morewith my boyfriend, however, the excitement went away quickly due to the unfriendly and unfortunate service here. We arrived exactly at 12am (they close at 1am) and every table was full but we were willing to wait and we added ourselves to a list but we weren't exactly welcomed with positive vibes. The blonde woman assigning tables was very blunt, short, and not friendly when getting us a table. Lucky for us, we got a table thanks to a group that was leaving. We were having a good time finishing up our second game, but around 12:26AM the woman started shouting "LaSt GaMe!" And I remember checking the time and wondering why? When they still have over 30 minutes left til closing? We finished our game shortly after and were setting up for our 3rd game when she started to shout again, only this time, AT US! "THAT WAS YOUR LAST GAME TURN IN YOUR BALLS" which was incredibly rude, disrespectful and immature. We had barely gotten our table at 12:10 and you pay by the hour here so we were not interested in leaving after we only played for 20 mins, their hours say they close at 1AM, and every single table was still playing their game but she wanted us to leave early? How is that fair? We didn't even get to finish our last game in peace because the woman made us feel uncomfortable and the energy felt unwelcoming so we paid and left quickly because they were rushing us. We also unfortunately had to come back shortly after because the woman was in a huge rush to get us out that she did not give us our ID back used to hold the table. When asking for the ID back she rolled her eyes and appeared as if we inconvenienced her, even though it is her responsibility to give us back our ID after paying. Overall, would not recommend going here because the service was not positive, friendly or welcoming at all, and we much rather would have preferred they not give us a table at all, than to give us a table and rush us out over 30 minutes prior to closing. It was ridiculous behavior coming from a business thats meant to be welcoming.

Be prepared to wait for a table though! This place gets packed and depending on how long others stay at a table, determines how fast your name moves up to the top of the waitlist. The owners are super nice and will call out your name multiple times & even keep your name on the top of the list just in case you are coming back. Such a great place with music, drinks, sports games playing and pool! Definitely a cool spot to bring friends if you want to just do something fun and easy together!

Strong inexpensive drinks (my Bombay Gin 'n Tonic is less than $9), sports on several screens, and occasional food make this a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon or evening. It's a sports bar, with lots of Dodgers and Lakers fans, Rams and Clippers too, even a few Raiders fans will come here for games. There's a regular who's a Niners fan - don't forget to ask him about the 2024 Super Bowl. $2 off shots for touchdowns & homeruns by the home team. Very diverse crowd, representative of Gardena. Several older customers during the day, then it skews much younger in the evening. There's a pool table, several dart boards, you can play keno and the lottery at the bar. They occasionally have a dj on weekends and a karaoke night during the week. Saturday and Sunday days are swell times to spend here. Customers occasionally bring food to share with everyone. The Saturday through Monday day bartenders (Lisa, Rel & Erin) are great to hang with. If you're a regular, they'll remember your drink as soon as you enter the bar. There's parking in back, and most people enter the bar from the back. Open every day until 2 am. Definitely stop by if you're in the area.

Waiters kept checking on us. Got the mild Buffalo Wings for $14 and Parmesan Fries for $6. The wings were good. The Parmesan Fries were really good, they didn't skimped on the Parmesan. Both dishes were small and came with ranch sauce. Got place to watch the games with friends. Not the place to have a conversation. The interior is neat and clean. There are various types of seating (bar; table; booth; high-tops; communal), and plenty of screens to watch sports. On this occasion, I ordered the Tavern Fish & Chips ($22). It is described as "Alaskan cod coated in a tempura beer batter and served with French fries, tartar sauce and yuzu herb coleslaw". The positives of this dish are that it was prepared well. Both the fish and chips tasted good. The presentation was also nice; which leads to the coleslaw: The coleslaw tasted good, too; but I was surprised the serving was so spare. It's almost as if it was served just to optically balance the presentation in the basket. (See photo shared,) And while the price was not unreasonable, feel it's creeping towards expensive (relative to serving size). I'll attribute this to rising input costs. Staffing might be an issue during the lunchtime service. Service was okay, but they seemed to be understaffed. It's possible that most of their business is done after 5pm.
