Selection is so-so, customer service is lacking. Barely anyone in the store and when we asked for help we were told we could go look online. No"I'm sorry the coupons don't apply, let me do this instead." Asked if I had enough reward points to apply was told with attitude "II didn't even look you can go back in the screen" and no comment with how many more points I needed. This past weekend was my initial visit EVER to a Rack Room Shoe location! We recently moved from Alpharetta to Cumming and were very pleasantly surprised with this location! We received a warm welcome from Victoria, the store manager, as soon as we arrived! My daughter, who accompanied me, walks with a cane and Victoria directed us to benches where she could sit and try shoes on. There were four employees on staff enough to cover everyone's needs and the store was incredibly busy! The selection and value was outstanding! Wow! First the good. They have an employee Isaiah who is absolutely an asset to the store. Been twice in last few weeks. He was extremely helpful explaining the bogo details and even made a $150 up sell by doing his job. Very unobtrusive, kind, and easy to deal with. Akso just a wonderful demeanor. This guy should be running your store. On the other hand we had a curmudgeon mess of a self proclaimed "manager" named Kayleigh (cayleigh, I apologize for misspelling, she tried to hide her name tag after the incident, so it was hard to clarify). Honestly not a huge deal other than the absolutely rude customer service and attitude. My son was with me and I asked if he could use the restroom to Isaiah. He informed us that they did not have one. I found that odd (being a place of business) and asked him how employees went during shift. He said they had to go to kohl's. I was not upset, just found it curious. Being an attorney, I passively mentioned that it's a violation not to have restrooms on site fir employees in a place of work. (Understood that they do not have to be made available for customers). Before I finished my sentence, the "manager" Kayleigh blurted out....."no it's not". She never looked up to engage, never bothered to even empathize, she just acted like a know it all and was rude as hell about it. My 10 yo even mentioned to me that that girl wasn't nice, is she upset? I pulled up the osha and Ada requirements on my phone while we finished shipping (thanks to isiah and his sales prowess. He even helped me get my wife's shoes online last time we were there. After completing my sale and being very cordial, I tried to speak with Kayleigh "manager" even asked her name. She was not forthcoming. Never spoke or engaged in any kind customer friendly way whatsoever. She barely looked up from her screen. I did on the way out attempt to show her the statute and explain to her that we weren't upset about the restroom issue for us as customers, (we could hold it til Outback). I told her my sole purpose was looking out for both you and Isaiah l, that's all. Sucks you're forced to go to another business to relive yourself. If you were a special needs or Ada employee that would be a firm code violation. I tried to even show her the legal code on my phone. "I don't need to see it, we hear it all the time". Says miss congeniality. As she turned her back on me. She was a true example of what most owners would not want running their stores. Just a simple conversation with empathy and engagement woulda won the day. She clearly knows it all, albeit has zero clue about customer service and simple positivity in a retail sales role. I wished them both good evening. I was not hostile toward her at all. I'm giving two stars because Isaiah is a stud snd a proper employee. He even handled it well when I asked if the nasty one was his manager. He didn't throw her insert he bus. Didn't defend her either. Clearly she's not a very well liked associate. . I typically am not one to write many reviews good or bad. But I felt this situation lent itself to the need for someone upstairs to be aware. Terrible experience. Thank god for Isaiah. I would never advocate for anyone to lose their job. But some sensitivity/sales/ empathy/customer service training would seem necessary. That said, it's your business. Next time my family of 5 come in and she's working we will walk directly out and happily spend the hundreds we typically spend in your establishment putting shoes on three growing boys elsewhere. Store was super clean and more organized than any rack room I've ever been in. The store was actually really incredible! The reason I'm giving 3 stars (which I thought about giving less) is because when I walked in, both of the sales associates were literally sitting on top of the counter and talking to each other. I looked at them and they looked at me... not a word and neither of them got down. There were a lot of people in the store and they never once got down, said hello, or even acknowledged a single person in the store. I was in there for a good 30 minutes and they couldn't be bothered. I could never have employees like that. Lazy. read more

Had a great experience at Rack room! We have a picky teenager who was looking for a new pair of Addidas - the pair he was wearing were starting to fall apart and yet he still loves them. We were struggling to find a pair that he liked and had his size. The pair he had had been updated to a slightly different look. We were just about ready to give up when Jane came along! Jane to the rescue! :) Jane did a great job by suggesting options for our son. She was able to find a pair and explained the fit to us. We were almost ready to leave with no shoes, we were all happy that it ended on a good note. We've already been back to see Jane for new shoes. Consider us regulars! :) read more

I was in here today looking for some shoes specifically for a certain outfit to wear to an event. I had no clue what to choose or even where to start. All I have to say is Michelle that works there is amazing! She was so eager to help me find exactly what I needed. She is was so nice taking time to help me. They have a pretty good selection of shoes. I can always manage to get a deal with their bogo promotion on top of the clearance rack fine. They are also pretty good about ordering shoes at no extra charge when they don't have the right sizes. Employees are cool and not pushy.every time I enter the store I am reminded about the promotion (that never ends) and today was no exception. read more

Absolutely the worst service ever by "tashina"... extremely rude when I asked for assistance. Cared more about staring at herself than helping a paying customer. I let her know i would be making a review and she informed me that her "good friend" is her boss so she wouldn't get in trouble either way because "she'll make it disappear". I simply just wanted to purchase my grandmother some comfortable shoes and got the most terrible service by a self absorbed person. read more

They sent me two right shoe vans and they don't have a lot of choices I wouldn't recommend rack room

First time in one. Worst staff ever. Was in store for 10 minutes and not one of the 3 employees even said hello. No one else was in the store...but they were behond the counter talking about life. We walked right by when we left and no one even looked at us. Never will go i to one of these stores again. read more
