See other review. We opted to take the elevator. Long line! But moved fairly quickly. I believe 8-16 people per elevator, but sadly, I need to wait for each round trip. But I befriended the people next to us, which killed time. They even laughed at my bad jokes, lol. Worth the visit, beautiful views, etc. See pictures. Decent size after reaching the top. Ambiance - See above and my pictures. Pay toilets, see picture. Service - Self service. The elevator gate keeper was okay. Price - Free. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success.

Yelp Review 2026 #204:…read more I was underwhelmed by the Saleya Market. I've seen travel shows depicting this place to be buzzing and lively. It's a long street where vendors of all sorts sell their wares. Fruits, vegetables, flowers, lavender packets, spices, food like socca (a Nice special), antiques, souvenirs, arts and crafts, etc. There are restaurants in the background. It's crowded. I got here after lunch and the socca vendor closed for the day. There were a bunch of people and vendors but not much products left. Plenty of flower vendors, some vendors selling fruits and vegetables.

After dinner I grabbed another drink and found myself right across from Ponchettes Beach, so I decided to walk over and it actually turned into such a nice evening. I'm glad I wandered over instead of heading straight to the hotel. It ended up being the perfect way to end the night.

The beach itself was very disappointing. It was mostly covered in rocks. Apparently, all the beaches in Nice are like this. The phrase, "you don't bring beach to the sand!" doe not apply here as you should bring your own sand to these beaches. Besides the rocks, everything is really cool about the place.

It was disappointing and I believe over the top but in the end we were late even if it was less than 5 minutes. It was not easy to see my 17 year olds heart broken. I also saw disparate treatment of Europeans and similar looking race vs other cultures. Europeans and similar looking people were treated with humor and respect while other races were treated with a bit of rude behavior and crudeness. The owner did employ an Asian lady who was wonderful. Overall I would not recommend this establishment because they didn't make me and my family feel comfortable. However I still give 3 stars because of safety and thoroughness of work.
