I pulled into this Race Trac to fill up before heading out on my weekend road trip. Though I'm not thrilled to be at this location, it is earning me $0.10/gal cash back on regular unleaded gas. The price was $4.47/gal, which cost me about $40. I'm not sure what is more aggravating: the high gas prices or the hit weather. Went in for food and gas. Paid for both, only to find the pump I was at wasn't working. Went back inside, it was busy so I just asked for my money back. Manager hit a few buttons on the computer and said it was taken care of. I asked for a receipt, but was told 'no paper in machine right now' I never got the refund back, so went in the next morning to ask about it, still had my receipt--manager pretended not to know me. So I emailed their customer service through their app, and spoke to a woman named Morgan--she sent one email acting all nice and caring, and then they charged my card a SECOND time without me authorizing it, and never responded back to me again. The mgr is lucky he got a 1 star. He was rude and nasty. I went into the store to buy cigs. I was there at 1:32:42pm. I was in your pompano beach/Atlantic Blvd store. I went to pay with a 20. Dollar bill which rip on the counter. The cashier refuse to take it. I ask for the mgr and he said no. I can't take it. I told him it just rip just put tape on it. He repeated "NO" I told him to put it with his bank deposit if he can't give it to a customer. He said NO! I told him I work in a bank and know this is nonsense. You can't deny my money because it's rip. He continue to speak as I was walking away and I turned around and told him to stop talking. I'm the customer! He embarrassed me in front of so many people. What's not to like. Convenient location(right off 95), and the best price in Broward. And it's near some of the most expensive gas in south Florida in Boca so it looks even cheaper. My family has owned gas station for years and I can tell you one thing. This place is a MONEY PIT! The convenience store has (almost) everything you can possibly think of and their gas prices are the lowest in the area by far. Also, try the car wash next door. Gas prices here are not the lowest in the area, they're pretty much on par with the rest of the gas stations around. Large gas station, conveniently close to I-95, plenty of pumps and a big convenience store. Ehhh. This is not the highest quality of Racetrac that I have visited. I usually prefer to stick to one "brand" of gasoline when I get a car and Racetrac is usually my first choose. I am usually impressed with their prices compared to other stations around. I was really happy to drive by this location yesterday as it's really close to my job so I took a mental note to come visit when needed. Turns out today I went to work on E so I had to pay a visit. I went around 6pm and it wasn't packed, got a pump right away. As I was getting out of my car, I noticed a man going around asking for money :/ As a female who's alone in her car, this made me uncomfortable and sad to even see that. I pumped gas and waited inside my car. To my luck, he was outside by my pump when my car filled up and he asked for .90 cents. Broke my heart so of course I gave it to him. I also think this location was a little high for what gas prices are ranging right now but I couldn't really look into it that much since I was worrying about the homeless man. I will probably get gas here if I am desperate need before heading home from work but I will most likely continue to fill up at the Racetrac in Davie where I been going for a past years and I have never had issues. This location isn't closed. It's been remodeled within the past few years. It's a nice clean location that I like to go to for my gas.

Racetrac offer good value. Unfortunetlty they force you to leave your car and family to obtain a receipt. Their pumps are always out of receipt paper. On some occasions there are hustlers and beggers bothering customers as you go to and from your car. I believe this is done delibertly to create impulse buying in the store. I have attempted tp pass my opinion on to the company calling at least 10 times and they never returned my telephone call. read more
